The home is absolutely perfectly located. Close enough to the beach for a quick walk and far enough to be out of the wind for those windy days. Should you not wish to spend the day on the beach the home has a beautiful deck, swimming pool and outside dinning table with a view of a beautiful garden and the sea. Can’t recommend it highly enough. And then there is the lovely helper Dorkis. She cleans the house twice a day and makes sure everyone is happy. Fabulous holiday. Will definitely be booking the same house again.

Our family of six enjoyed a wonderful six-night stay at Vicki's place. The house had everything we needed, the view was amazing (dolphins, whales, birds), Vicki was always responsive, and the three minute walk to the beach directly down from the house was perfect. It's a 10 minute beach walk down to the official Umzumbe Beach with its lifeguards/amenities/surfers. The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. We saw joggers and people walking their dogs, and we always felt quite safe. The kitchen had everything we needed to cater for ourselves. The place was beautiful and spotlessly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We utilized Regina the helper one day and she was great. As we're not used to setting/disarming alarms, we struggled a bit with the alarm system, but we eventually got the hang of it. We experienced load shedding one evening, but with the propane/gas oven and all of the candles plus large flashlights available, this was actually enjoyable. We plan to return!

Mark and Liza’s spot was wonderful! Liza was very helpful, any questions were answered immediately. Perfect location 100m from the beach. 200m from town. 200m from the clubhouse and direct access to the 15th hole for late afternoon walks with the dogs.

our stay was great as we had planned to have a weekend away with our family. communication was on point and the whole process was made very simple for us. all facilities mentioned were present and with that being said, I’m looking forward to booking there again when im back in the city 🙏🏽

Upon arrival, Grande Vue surpassed all expectations my friends and I had. It was spacious, clean and modern, which allowed us to settle in quickly and comfortably. Vanessa was very accommodating to my big group, supplying us with everything we needed for our 10 day stay. Thank you Vanessa for hosting us, we had the best time.

The place is beautiful. Cara is a great host, she gives your space and privacy. Flexible check ins and out. It is worth every cent.

The place was just beautiful from the view of the sea to the linen etc. They accommodated us on very short notice and it was an absolute pleasure and we will definitely be going back. The rooms are clean and spacious, the 3 bathrooms were just what we needed. The patio is lovely to sit on as you have the view of the sea. The hosts are very responsive. We had a little problem with one of the switches tripping and had no lights but Hilton drove all the way from Durban north to come and sort it out, I dont think any other host would have done that but he came and was there within the hour of us advising them. Just a really good place to stay very spacious and can accommodate a lot of people, we were 7 people and it was just great , served us well. Very sad to have left but it was booked otherwise we would have extended our stay.

We had an awesome stay at Shale Beach House. It has everything you need; you don't have to drive anywhere. It is such a peaceful private area; the sea is literally on your doorstep. We loved the jacuzzi bath, jacuzzi and rim flow pool and the permanent ice maker, but there is so many things that make it comfortable to stay in! Wilson was a delight to deal with, had a really easy check in, he always around if you need anything. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Nelius for opening up your beautiful home!

What a beautiful,spacious and clean space...The sea view is breathtaking too!! What a fantastic host sis Noma is,and Nozipho,the assistant was very friendly and helpful too. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a peaceful, beautiful place.

We had the most wonderful stay at Lynn’s beautiful home which was even lovelier than we imagined. Our furry guests, River and Ollie, were firm favourites. We’re going to miss them.

Is a perfect spot / easy to beach / well appointed holiday house with enough of everything for u to cook etc and good space . Easy to clean up after kids as the whole place is tiled - swimming pool a big bonus

Absolutely lived our stay here. Felt like you were on the beach always, could hear the ocean the whole day. The house beautiful and well equipped, clean and just leaves you feeling relaxed. Walking distance to a swim-beach, and if you walk a bit further past the lagoon, beautiful rock pools where we spent hours looking at the fish and even met a resident octopus that we saw every day. It even get my teenagers stamp of approval and they said they would live to go back again. Really worth a visit!

Beautiful house well equipped and situated walking distance from beach. Magical garden with stunning pool and braai area. We enjoyed the pizza oven. Beautiful rooms with a sea. Squeaky clean bathrooms with luxurious linen. Beautiful kitchen with state of the art fridge and coffee machine. All you meed is in this kitchen. Gracious host that checked in on us and provided all info. Staff on the premises are fantastic. Dog friendly fenced property, beaches and restaurants. We loved every second and will be back. Perhaps the best way to describe Catherine’s place is that it’s an actual home: it displays generous investments of love and thought. I mean that as a praise to distinguish it from the many houses on Airbnb that technically have the essentials but without soul. This house is magnificent in all aspects. It was the perfect place to spend with family and friends, from the was the house is set out to all the extra rooms and lounges was something spectacular, felt like a King in his palace.
