Perfect communication from host. Location 5 min walk to train and main st. Easy 10-15 walk to lake. Parking spot in driveway. Views to Fuji from 2 upstairs bedrooms Spacious, comfortable Generous with spare towels Heating and cooling worked well Washing machine convenient About 20 min easy walk to a larger shopping centre- Kawaguchiko Bell Restaurants we recommend include Tsuwano for ramen and Koushoya for beef cutlets. Activities- We hired bikes and rode around the lake, if Fiji is visible there are lots of photo opportunities. We also did a ride on the speed boat on the lake which is highly recommended!

The place is well maintained, clean and spacious, with more than enough kitchenware which is very convenient for those who would like to cook. The view is spectacular, you can see mount fuji right outside the house. The host is nice and responsive. We had enjoyed the stay very much. Thanks for hosting.

This was absolutely one of the best Airbnb’s in which we’ve stayed. Only downside is the smell from the cow farm nearby. This place is clean, quiet, the hosts have thought of everything, has a wood burning fireplace, and boast one of the most magnificent views of Mt. Fuji. Highly recommend!

The host is accommodating and the place is huge with well-kept kitchen and bathroom,toilet and even laundry area. The sleeping area is comfortable and clean. Though its a non -smoking house we found the toilet upstairs smells like cigarette when we arrived and it woukd be perfect if the toilet had bidet in it. Nonetheless this listing is a good find! would love to rebook some other time, highly recommended!

It was very clean, spacious, and everything was good! The breaker fell off, but they responded right away and the staff was very polite!

This beautiful inn is down the hill from Gora station. the staff is competent and friendly. You reserve the onsen as a 40min slot. its convenient and plenty of time to get a good soak, especially after a day of walking. The tatami futon is comfortable. I recommend the Japanese breakfast!

We loved our stay at Hakone Guesthouse Gaku! The third-floor room was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our baby—no noise complaints, thanks to decent soundproofing. Staff were friendly and even helped book us a private onsen at Hakone Yuryo. We didn’t mind the shared bathrooms, as each floor had options. Being near Gora Station is ideal for starting the Hakone Loop via cable car and ropeway (great scenery!), but the underpass to get there isn’t stroller/wheelchair-friendly. Since this guesthouse is near Gora station, this version of the Hakone Loop is better because you get to ride the cablecar and ropeway back. Get the Hakone Pass for unlimited rides for a flat rate. Also, there’s a Daily Yamazaki store about 9 minutes away, though the path is steep. The futons and AC/heater worked great, and the shared fridge was no issue. There’s also a ping-pong and pool table for fun. Overall, it’s fantastic value—comfortable accommodations, friendly staff, and a prime location at a lower

Even though a sick uncle was staying downstairs, I was scolded once when I returned from dinner and started stepping up the staircase from the ground floor to the unit. The Japanese-speaking uncle angrily ranted at us. On a positive note, the view of Mt. Fuji from the room was amazing. I could see it clearly through the full-height glass doors leading to the balcony. The actual views and experience are even better than the photos provided. Perhaps the host could consider taking new photos from different angles or layouts to attract more guests.

I stayed at the end of the year.The room was also beautiful, and the number of rooms was a pleasant stay. Messaging was smooth, and check-in was flexible, which was very helpful. There were various types of restaurants such as burger shops, natural potato restaurants, yakiniku restaurants, and sushi restaurants within walking distance.There was also a public bath 5 minutes walk. There was no digi or BS on the TV, but the internet connection was smooth, so there was no trouble. Overall, I think it's a good value for money.I'll stay again if I get the chance.

I used it with 2 families + 1 dog. We had a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle in a natural place in a nice villa. I went to Lake Yamanaka for the holidays and was prepared to be cold, but the floor heating was everywhere in the room, and I had a pleasant time. It was the best view from the living room with a view of Mt. Doe Kai Fuji from the room. The sauna was authentic and very popular. I would love to use it again if I have the chance!

We happened to get a lot of snow and the snow was beautiful. The kitchen facilities were very nice, we bought food at the nearby supermarket and then it was convenient to cook.The cutlery was also very rich and amazing! Lucky to see a lot of deer on the road Awesome stay

I was allowed to stay overnight. On the first day, I could see Mt. Fuji from the garden and felt very natural.The weather was unfortunate in the morning, and although we couldn't see Mt. Fuji, it was the best relaxing space because the house and its surroundings were full of nature even in the rain. First of all, the main large room was spacious and clean, which was great.There were so many beds that we stayed together, so we couldn't use it. The bathroom is very spacious and clean, which was good. Everything in the kitchen was also clean and well-maintained. We didn't mind the insects, but the location is somewhat. Finally, it was the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in in the garden. If there's one last thing I'm curious about, the house is too spacious to get any sounds and voices, so it's a good idea to bring a speaker.I thought it would be better if the speakers were installed in the main room. I have the best memories.Thank you!

I stayed for two nights and three days at the end of February 2025. Of course, the facility was great, but the host was polite, and we had a very nice time. I used the sauna, but I recommend using the hammock after the sauna, it feels very good. I'd love to come back if I get the chance.
