A really nice and cosy house by the sea, which has a very personal touch as a lot of the interior is still original from the parents of the host. It is therefore "vintage" in the very original way. The hosts live close by and provided a very friendly introduction. House and sea are separated by a road, but with very little traffic.

One of the best AirBnB experiences we have had hands down!!! Hanne is an extremely gracious and exceptional hostess. She was so nice and friendly. Our kids loved the space as well as her kitten and dog. The cabin has beautiful surroundings and we wished we had more time to explore. We were extremely lucky with the weather and got to see amazing norther lights on our very first night!!! It was absolutely breathtaking. Hanne was very nice and played with our kids while we took some photos. She also gave us great recommendations for places to eat and what to do. The best part of our stay was the homemade breakfast every morning. It was absolutely wonderful!! She made waffles for the kids which they absolutely loved. Everything was fresh and the eggs even came from her own hens! She grows her own food too. We were so impressed with everything! If you are looking for a unique experience in Tromso, look no further. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you Hanne for being amazing!!!

This was my second stay and the peace and quiet is fantastic! Last year there was no snow - this year there was lots! Both times the landscapes are truly beautiful and tranquil. Thorsteinn was kind enough to show us all his animals in the barn and talk about his horses! He was very responsive and helpful. It’s a great house for family or friends groups.

Beautiful home! You can tell they take pride in this home. It was very well stocked and had everything we needed. The views are amazing! Will definitely return!

We stayed at Tuula’s place for 4 days and we had such a great time. I’d recommend this place for the following reasons 1) Tuula was always available to provide advise as a local and help us with some insights on the places we had in our itinerary 2) Her place is perfect to pet reindeers. One can definitely save some bucks in booking expensive reindeer tours 3) We saw spectacular auroras from the lake right in front of the house. Since the place is towards the outskirts, it is not impacted by city lights and is perfect for aurora spotting 4) She also does tours on Sami culture, so I would definitely recommend this over any museums or exhibitions to get a local feeling of the Sami culture Cherry on the top, she was kind to bake some fresh breads and share it with us. Overall, we liked our stay her and would recommend Tuula’s place.

We had an amazing stay at the cabin! The house is super cozy and the area around is super calm. And we were able to see northern lights from the living room's window! We would repeat the experience and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area😊

The accommodation was ideal for 2 families of 4. We found all the comforts and amenities we needed for our night. The view is beautiful and the environment peaceful. Sissel communicated very easily with us and was very available! Thank you for hosting us!

We stayed in the garden hut for 2 nights and felt very comfortable. The shower and toilet in the annex were easily accessible. We received some useful tips regarding driving in winter conditions and where to find moose. It was a great stay all around.

Ase was a fantastic host! The accommodation was spacious, very well appointed, had everything you could need. We loved that it was in the countryside, yet close to the town. We would recommend staying here.

We had a great stay at Carina's house ! Beyond the comfort and charm of the house, and of course the superb view of the Lyngen Alps, we were delighted to meet Carina and her family, as well as the cute sheep on the farm. Everything was perfect, we felt at home, and Carina gave us very good advice for our excursions. I highly recommend this accommodation!

Anne’s place is the dream Airbnb everyone would like to stay at. Truly, if you are coming to the Tromso region and are comfortable with driving a car in snowy/a bit icy conditions, CHOOSE HERE. Anne and Steinar are so kind and accommodating. The Airbnb looks 1000% better than the beauty already shown on the listing - I simply was not expecting how spacious it is and how breathtaking the views from the balcony is. We were 4 people and the 3 bedrooms were perfect for us. The kitchen and utensils cabine has everything you need - we didn’t eat out at all during our one week stay here. The best part? INCREDIBLE northern lights show at your own balcony. We were lucky enough to catch it twice during six days, and it was so comfortable just being on the balcony and seeing the lights dance. If you want and have non slippery shoes, you can also just go to the front and side of the house to watch the magic unfold. It really is breathtaking. Thanks Anne, we will come back :)

This has to be one of the best accommodations I've ever been. You'll need a car because it takes more than a hour from Tromsø. But out of the crowds it is very very peaceful and quite. Pack your foods, stay for some while with no plans. That's everything you need.

A very special place and a wonderful host. This was a dream stay. There are not enough words to describe how beautiful this place is. Øystein really went above and beyond to make our stay truly fantastic.

We stayed at Mariannes apartment 3 nights and it was such a pleassure to get to know her, the goats, the cat and the wonderful nature around the apartment. There are many things you can do, especially if you love nature, animals and the best places for northern lights. It was such an amazing experience, all of it and we will be definitly coming back again in summer or winter time (or both haha)☺️ The biggest recommendation from us!

Great old yard. Clean and fresh in the apartment. I had a great time. You could go straight from the yard to great scenery for ski trips.

We were three families and spent a wonderful New Year's Eve week in the house. The year couldn't have been better. When we arrived, the house was warm, cozy and decorated for Christmas. Immediately we felt comfortable The one bedroom and the sauna were smaller than expected but ultimately completely sufficient. The kitchen is very well-equipped and we cooked wonderfully and fit 12t (just like that) at the large table. A highlight was the yakuzi in the upper bathroom - after walks at -20 degrees we were bubbled warm again. The view over the fjord and the huge jetty were wonderful Since the houses next door were not visited, it was also very quiet. One evening, a very nice neighbor let us know that the northern lights are there. Indescribably beautiful! Nearby (25min) is a great polartier park. The ski slope in Narvik (60min)is also great! Communication with Torkjell was very nice and helpful at all times. Thank you!

MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE! We spent 5 nights at Mari's house and it was just amazing. Everything is even better than on the pictures. We could see the aurora in front of our house, the furniture is very beautiful, the sauna worked perfectly well and we could use snowshoes, that were at the house, for free. Also the location was great, as we were far enough from Äkäslompolo to be in the quiet nature but also a drive to the supermarket and restaurants didnt even take 10 minutes. We will definitely be back! Thank you for this beautiful experience!!

We use Airbnb a lot, but this has to be one of our favorite stays ever! The house was so cozy and Kristin was a great host. The view is probably the best on the island. The Northern Lights danced beautifully for us one night and we could even see them from the living room. Our kids enjoyed making snow forts and sledding down the hill. We loved having lunch in Sommarøy each day and seeing the reindeer on our way. We'd love to come back. I bet it's just as magical in the summer!

We lived for a week in this beautiful house, feeling it just like our own. Everything was impeccable: order, amenities, and cleanliness. The house's location is beautiful, surrounded by mountains and sea. We were lucky enough to see for four nights out of seven the Northern Lights right in front of the house…..a unique experience. Anne was always kind and available to our every request and question. What to say, stay is absolutely worth repeating!
