Cottage vacation rentals in Transylvania County

What a wonderful stay! Booked this for a little getaway for New Year’s Eve! House was so clean, yard was so cute with trees, lights, hot tub and fire pit! We made use of it all and the dogs absolutely loved the fenced in area! Beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked with essentials and the waffle station is such a cute addition and we all ate waffles the morning we checked out! We will definitely be back in the warmer weather to stay and check out some of the local sites

We had a wedding in the mountains and at last minute found a cottage. It was very peaceful and nice, when we had any issues or questions the host was very prompt to answer. Overall it was a great experience for my Family, The kids enjoy playing around in the open field. The creek was beautiful, The heater worked so the cottage was always nice and warm. There was always something for family to do. Overall great price and pleasant stay. We would definitely book with the Host again.

We had a wonderful few days at this mountain cottage. The house is even better than the pictures suggest. It was extremely comfortable and well decorated. Travis was very responsive when I contacted him with questions . All in all an excellent house to rent. Thank you Travis

The home was beautiful and well decorated with many small, thoughtful touches. The porch and hot tub were relaxing and perfect after a day of biking. The location was just a short drive to downtown and Pisgah. Host was responsive and quickly answered our questions. We will absolutely stay again!

Great stay at Connestee falls. Loved the views of the lake from the house and the great hiking trails nearby. Lake is stocked with fish and the kids had a lot of luck fishing. Hot tub has a great lake view for enjoying at night

We enjoyed our stay! Perfect set up for our family of 5. The house is charming and updated with nice decor. Very clean and comfortable! We loved how private the property is. Very nice hot tub and fire put area!! Hosts extremely responsive, arrived almost immediately with a space heater when we reported difficulty with one unit. We found lots of fun things to do and see in surrounding towns! Perfect family getaway!

This place is perfect. Everything was clean and tidy. The location is super close to downtown with cute shops and restaurants.

Booked a very last minute trip and Laura was wonderful to work with. It’s super cute and quaint and private, but we walked to all of downtown easily everyday for coffee, breakfast, shopping, breweries or dinner. Linens plentiful and beds comfortable. Seating comfortably for 4 in family room and kitchen and porch and patio. Had everything we needed and Laura is a great to communicate with. Would 100% stay again.

Beautiful farmhouse with a large back yard! Host was great and responsive. Beautiful location close to lots of restaurants and easy to get into town. Only tip I have for future renters is to bring slippers with grips! The steps to the only bathroom are hardwood.

This was our second time at Bear‘s Rest anschwellen absolutely love this place and the location. Nothing can beat the view on the patio for morning coffee or afternoon post hike snack. Communication with the host is super easy and you get a response in no time. We love the area for hiking. TONS of trails in a30 min drive radius. From easy to strenuous you will find it there! The kitchen is super well equipped with everything you need if you decide to stay in and cook, despite the multitude of options in Brevard. This time we even got a visit from wild turkeys. Thank you again for everything, til next time.

The Lake Glenville area is beautiful. The home is up above the lake about 15 minutes, but the gated community where it is located is quiet and offers lots of amenities for the guests. We had three couples sharing this home and it worked out well. There were some minor hiccups, but the host was very responsive and helpful. We loved the area and would definitely return. We did book a tour of the lake with Captain Mark and would recommend it for anyone wanting to see the waterfalls and learn about the history of the area.

Great little place to stay just a 2 min drive to town. Quiet and peaceful and clean. The bed was amazingly comfortable.

Can't say enough about this awesome place. It was ideal for our family of 3 + our pooch. Great design. modern, yet cozy with every amenity we could ask for. John was friendly and communication was great. We look forward to returning in the summer!

Jeana was a wonderful host and quick to respond. The king bed and couches were comfortable. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. There were many hikes close by that we enjoyed. The only things to be aware of is the internet wasn’t always reliable and the shower head wasn’t that tall, my husband who is 6 foot struggled. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

Beautiful property and an amazing community and location in Cashiers, NC- Chinquapin offers many hiking trails and amenities as a part of the community. The cabin is a perfect size for a small group and is very comfortable and has amazing views of the surrounding mountains! The host/ owners are great and communicate very well and present their property with great attention to detail and care. Everyone will enjoy staying at Bear Run cabin in Chinquapin!

This beautiful and cozy home had everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. Our kids absolutely loved the outdoor space and the inside was clean with all the amenities we needed. Doris and Shanna really thought of everything and left little touches that meant a lot- s’mores ingredients and sparklers for the kids, comfortable bedding with extra blankets, family games etc. It’s been our favorite place we’ve stayed at thus far. We felt secluded but it was only a quick drive for food and outdoor adventures. If you want a mountain retreat to refresh your soul, look no further!

The DuPont Cottage exceeded our expectations! It was very clean, cozy, well equipped, peaceful and close to our Penrose family. We would definitely see if the DuPont Cottage is available on our next trip in a few months.

We spent five nights at Debbie's cottage over New Year's, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The home is exactly as shown in the pictures—situated on a private, wooded drive that offers plenty of seclusion, but still within a community. The house was spotless and incredibly comfortable with cozy chairs, soft throws, a warm electric fireplace, and a comfortable bed with extra blankets and pillows. Debbie has thought of everything you might need—ample paper products, wall dispensers with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, trash bags, dish soap, and kitchen essentials including fresh spices. You really don’t need to bring anything with you. The outdoor space is fantastic, with a firepit surrounded by overhead lights and a nearby grill. It’s the perfect setup for relaxing and spending quality time with loved ones. Debbie was very responsive if needed. Her cottage was the perfect retreat, and we couldn’t have asked for a better getaway! We will definitely be back!

Making reservations was very easy on line and the house was just as the pics showed. When we entered the home we were so surprised as it was the nicest, cleanest, and best decorated home we had ever rented. It was well stocked and the amenities were full size, not small sample sizes. We really enjoyed our stay and plan on returning to Shelby’s Chalet. Even the name has a story that we enjoyed reading about. The magnolia blooms were an added enjoyment.

Indian creek is exactly as advertised and couldn’t be more beautiful. Our boys played in the creek, we picked blackberries, and found everything very tidy and comfortable. We will definitely be coming back.

This place is the cutest! Amazing views, super clean- exactly as described. We were there for a weekend getaway with 4 of us and felt it was plenty of space. The hosts were awesome and kept in contact leading up to our trip. Already planning a longer trip back in May ☺️
