The home was better than we thought. Gorgeous secluded area perfect for family gatherings. Jorge was responsive and helpful if any questions came up. We were sad to leave and would love to return one day.

The place is perched in a lush beautiful garden that we enjoyed the moment we stepped in. It is central but away from the hustle and bustle of Calle Santander. Thank you Marion and Gerry for having us. Your place has been a home away from home. We truly enjoyed are stay. We are planning for a return trip already.

Visit the place with my family, we loved it, everything is very clean and tidy, the location is perfect almost without traffic. The hostess is always attentive, she is very welcoming.

Jacqueline was a great host! She was very responsive and proactive about giving us instructions to get in. The house was charming and we had a lovely stay.

Large downstairs apartment, had everything you could ask for. Close enough to walk to the center, and La Tora. Well worth the price, would recommend and return for short or longer stays.

Perfect chilled place to stay at the Lake. We came here after 2 days climbing volcan acatenango and stayed 3 nights. We wish we’d stayed longer, as we couldn’t move for the first day! There’s a lot to see and do around the lake and you can happily spend a week here. This was the perfect base for us. Loads of space, amazing views, comfy beds and great linen. They were fantastic hosts, easy to communicate with and friendly. Easy to move around the lake by boat. A great quiet base. We’ll be back!

Phyllis is a wonderful host. She and Blaine have an absolutely gorgeous property; the pictures don't do it justice. We actually booked a different part of the property now and plan to stay much longer if we can! We love it here. It's a perfect distance from town so it's quiet and secluded, but still close enough so that walking is great. Would highly recommend this place. The wifi is great. Lovely cozy space. Stunning Views. The lakefront views were stunning, and the property was packed with great amenities. We loved using the paddle boards and kayaks to explore the water. The location was perfect—close to town, walkable, and easy to catch a tuk-tuk when needed. The photos accurately represent the beautiful setting. The property felt very secure with 24/7 guarded security, and the house caretaker was incredibly responsive. Plus, the space was huge, giving us plenty of room to relax. Highly recommend this spot for a peaceful yet convenient getaway!

This place was beautiful. The peaceful environment and the AMAZING view were definitely worth it. Everything was as described and more. We really enjoyed out time here and would definitely love to be back. the kids had a great time at the pool, the lake and around the house. a beautiful place to rest, enjoy and to reset. We had an exceptional stay at Casa Colibri - stunning views from every room, beautiful house, amazing sunsets and kind accommodating staff. Daniel arranged everything we needed from the time we landed in Guatemala City to returning us to the airport at the end of our stay. Carmen and Monica cooked delicious breakfasts for us and the chef prepared some of our favorite dinners of the trip. Don’t miss exploring the other villages around the lake. The sunrise hike to Rostro Maya was beautiful (moderate intensity and very cold at the summit). We took a Mayan cooking class with Anita in San Pedro which was quite a lesson. Private lancha captains were accommodating of our laid back schedule. **Dramamine suggested for the windy road to the lake as well as afternoon lancha rides.

A magical mountain home with a nestled jungle feel. Romantic and mystical; every detail of this home mesmerized us. Great communications, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful location (make sure you can climb the 180 steps!) with lots of character and uniqueness. Water was hot and pressure was good, the mattresses were comfortable, the house and area was safe. You’ll have fun staying here, checking out nearby Santa Cruz, and all the other pueblitos from this wonderful location. Highly, highly recommended! We plan to return with a larger group of friends and family soon.

Everything was amazing! One thing to note is that there are 300 stairs down from the road, so be prepared for that. The caretaker, René, is super helpful with helping get your luggage up and down and is very responsive to requests and needs. Would certainly recommend this place.

Beautiful adobe cottages with breathtaking views of the lake. Easy access to neighboring pueblos. Kayaking is great, and the water was perfect for a dip. Interactions with Maria the cook, a warm person who taught is so much, will be treasured memories from the trip.
