Family-friendly vacation rentals in Tivives beach

My friends and I (group of 8 ladies) stayed here for one night at the end of our girls trip vacation in Costa Rica. Lily’s house is absolutely gorgeous. We all had plenty of room and enjoyed our last day in CR. It is close enough to walk to a Fresh Market. The grounds keeper, Nery, was available for any of our questions and very helpful and friendly. It was very close to the airport. Loved our time there and we all wished we could have spent another day or two there to enjoy the beautiful house.

We loved our stay at this Airbnb in Alajuela, Costa Rica. From the first moment we felt very welcome. The place is comfortable, clean, and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The location is perfect, close to the airport but in a quiet area, ideal for resting. In addition, the host was incredibly kind and attentive, always available to help us with any questions or recommendations. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers.

Such a wonderful stay! The host was very nice and welcoming, making everything smooth and enjoyable. The highlight of the place is the incredible balcony—perfect for relaxing and taking in the stunning surroundings. The location is truly magical, surrounded by nature yet just a short distance from the center. A perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. Highly recommend!

Condominium is pretty good size. The swimming pools are great.

Three of us stayed at Wanderlust to celebrate the upcoming wedding of a friend. Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Highlights of the accommodations were the incredibly comfortable beds, the peaceful atmosphere and the fantastic hot tub. What really makes this place stand out is Jai. Jai could not have done more to make our stay a magical occasion. She provided us with impeccable food and drink recommendations, connected us with local, trustworthy transportation and bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. Jai really is a special treat. We all hope to be back someday.

Super nice apartment and the pool is very close to the apartment! There is also a gym next to the pool!

Where to begin? Very spacious condo in a secure location. Close to a little market that we visited daily! Lorena was so kind meeting us at the rental and showing us all around. She and Martin gave us tons of recommendations as well. We saw monkeys (squirrel and capuchin), toucans, parrots, frogs and lizards all from the backyard!! Do make sure you seal your food up well or bugs will find their way to it. Loved our stay! The absolute perfect location 🤙

we loved the location !! Large appartement with everything we needed. 5 minutes to nice restaurants and shops. Phil and Annik were greatxat recomanding places to visit and were very responsive. Would definitly go back.

We arrived very late and were able to get into the house without any trouble. The backyard was so peaceful in the morning, it was a nice start to our Costa Rica adventure.

We only stayed here one night to break up our drive. The views from the balcony’s are unreal. Very close to the beach. I wish we booked an extra night here.

Nice loft in peaceful neighborhood and with an amazing view. Had all amenities we needed. Would definitely recommend.

If you're looking for an immersive experience in nature without straying too far from comfort, this is the place to be. Although it is only a few meters from the road and next to a supermarket, once inside the property you feel surrounded by vegetation, with views of plants and trees, as shown in the photos. It is important to note that there are no conventional windows, but rather mosquito nets or screens, allowing a more direct connection with the environment. The experience of disconnecting is very pleasant and the fan in the room was a great help, as the heat and humidity can be intense. A nice touch is that different types of birds visit the Airbnb in the mornings, making the stay even more special. In addition, the accommodation has parking, which is a plus. Overall, an excellent choice for those seeking authentic contact with nature without sacrificing comfort

Absolutely incredible place to stay for a honeymoon :) we were there for just over a week, and we really loved our little home base. Jan was so helpful with recommendations and even booked our reservation for Manuel Antonio with her Costa Rican debit card since we couldn't do it ourselves. With as helpful as she was, she also gave us total privacy and communicated very effectively with us. I know the person before us mentioned insect issues, but we had no complaints whatsoever and were there for an extended period of time. We were able to see hummingbirds, scarlet macaws, lizards, and other varieties of birds which made just sitting by the pool a fun experience. The shading was perfect for the pool too. You could decide if you wanted to sit in the shade or the sun depending how you feel. The AC cools down the bedroom very fast when arriving home. The private driveway is convenient too. We loved our stay so much! We would certainly consider coming back if in town!

Never wanted to leave! Hands down this is the best property to rent in Manuel Antonio. You have the jungle in your backyard, private pool and so many great places to eat within just a short couple minute drive. We had a group of 5 and not one of us wanted to leave. Truly incredible. Alex is a great host and extremely helpful.

Great stay! Two blocks from downtown, walkable. We rented bikes from a neighbor. Pool was perfect. Safe neighborhood. We're already planning another stay👍🏽

Matthew and his team were phenomenal. The house was also great and matches the description. Our stay was private and peaceful. A beautiful quiet location but still only a 5 minute drive to downtown Jaco. For the price I don’t believe there is a better choice. Plenty of towels, hot water and the air conditioning worked well. Some of us needed to access emails etc. the wifi worked well and the speeds were fine as well. The living room and master bedroom have tv’s. The pool vibes were awesome while drinking a cold beer looking at the surrounding mountain ranges. They made the transportation very easy for us to and from the airport. We also had a rental car waiting for us when we arrived to the house for a reasonable price. Go book this place you wont regret it. Pura Vida!

We had an incredible stay at Villa Amanecer! The home was beautiful with stunning views, spacious interiors, and fantastic wildlife sightings—monkeys, green macaws, and lizards. The location was perfect, close to restaurants and attractions. While the beds were a bit firmer than we’re used to, the air conditioners kept the space cool and comfortable. The quality for the price was exceptional. What truly stood out was the property manager, Luis. He was attentive, friendly, and resposive when we needed assistance. After we checked out, we realized someone in our group had forgotten their passport at the property—just hours before our flight. Luis quickly arranged a courier to deliver it to the airport. Though we had to stay an extra day in Costa Rica, his kindness and dedication made all the difference. He even checked in to ensure we got home safely. We’re so grateful for the outstanding service and highly recommend this Airbnb. We would definitely stay here again! Pura Vida! 🌴🦜❤️

The property offers a secluded and serene escape surrounded by nature. Throughout the day, we were visited by incredible wildlife, from capuchin and spider monkeys swinging through the trees to iguanas and even capybaras wandering nearby. The house itself is beautifully arranged, with a spacious and well-equipped kitchen that had everything we needed—plenty of plates, silverware, and all the essentials to make cooking effortless. The bedrooms were comfortable and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The pool was Incredibly cozy and the perfect spot to relax after a day at the beach.

The house is beautiful, super spacious and has everything you need to have a great time with friends. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking. We went with my 6-year-old daughter and the pool was perfect for her, it's not very slingshot. It's pet friendly (paying a fee) and there's plenty of outdoor space for puppies. The beach is very close. Near the house there is a small shopping center where there is a supermarket and you can find everything. There are also restaurants in case you don't want to cook.

We absolutely loved staying here. Everything was magical and sitting outside was relaxing. We saw so many animals while staying there and the kids loved the pool! We had a grocery store and Soda walking distance away. Antonio was a gem. He did not speak English but he made sure everything was pristine. He is a true gem and willing to help direct parking and open the gate for us Some tips to help others….everything here is similar to the states. No suicide showers and lots of power plugs. Really the only issue we had is the upper bedrooms were too light and it gets bright early. Wasn’t a huge problem for us because we got up early to do activities while it was cool. We loved our stay! This place has ALL of the Pura Vida vibes.

Very close to the beach with great shaded areas to sit. Amazing sunrises and sunsets! Low tide was awesome, lots of exploring, and enjoying the tide pools. High tide there are great waves for surfing! Very quiet during the week, busier on the weekend. We had the pleasure of a local band practicing on the beach!! Area is safe for walking, there are a few of great places to eat, and a small supermarket within walking distance. Yes there are local dogs that wander, and sometimes they bark, certainly didn’t encounter any aggressive ones. The house is clean, pool is clean, bed is comfortable and air conditioners work well. If you like to cook some meals while on vacation, bring what you need(oil, salt, pepper, spices) Could use a few more utensils for cooking(spatula, tongs..) a couple tea towels. Overall a great location, with a very nice property manager on site. This is our second visit, we would likely return to stay again. Thanks Lorenzo for the hospitality!!
