Stayed here one night , Josh was outstanding in communication very helpful with Information at what was a stressful time for us as attending a funeral . The house was spacious and welcoming .

If you’re reading this review and considering making a reservation, stop scrolling, don’t bother looking at other properties and just book Painters Forstal. The house has been there for 478 years at time of writing this and on our trip here we’ve created more life long family memories that add to this incredible historic and amazing home. We had a fantastic stay over Christmas. On arrival we had Prosecco and chocolate which was a very thoughtful touch. Rebecca’s house is fun and quirky, it has a very well equipped kitchen, comfy beds with lovely clean linen and fluffy towels, there were even lots of fun board games. It is a beautiful location and we would love to go back in the summer.

Absolutely loved the stay! Sarah and Reuben are fantastic, professional hosts; Sarah was swift and helpful with responses on any queries we had during our stay, and Reuben helpfully prepared some extra firewood for the pizza oven, as the logs we had were on the larger side. Everywhere was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The location was perfectly private and idyllic, with supermarkets only a 10 minute drive away. Of course, no review would be complete without mentioning the amazing hot tub - a wonderful, relaxing experience! We would highly recommend staying at their lovely property!

Sarah was an Amazing host and I couldn't have asked for a better host or a more wonderful house. Sarah's home was stunning and was so lovely to be near a wonderful big park.

Just spent a couple of nights at The Lighthouse and we couldn’t fault it. Everything was there that you needed and it was very clean and couldn’t ask for more. Will definitely look to stay here again if we are in the area. Owners were also very quick and responding and I thought the app for the property was an excellent touch!

Lovely spacious cottage , photos do not do it justice. We were four ladies on a weekend break it was relaxing , lovely pub within walking distance. Bedrooms spacious comfortable. Kitchen fully equipped, highly recommended Great .

We had a lovely stay at Barbara's place, tucked away in the Sussex countryside. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed - the hot tub was a real bonus and meant we could enjoy the outside space, despite the weather not being on our side! The place was easy to find, communication was great and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cosy getaway ✨

We stayed 5 nights. The room was spacious, WiFi perfect, relaxing place, dining place, the bedding was of a very good quality. When we arrived, there was fresh baked bread, eggs, butter, coffee, tea, water. Annemarie is always willing to help. Very kind family. Don’t hesitate, go for it! We enjoyed our days!

We loved our stay here. Very good location and great central neighbourhood for walking everywhere. Lovely to be able to bring the dog too and the garden was a bonus. Arlene is exceptionally easy to communicate with and everything is in place to make the stay comfortable and very pleasant. Lovely cafés, pubs, shops etc in the immediate area.

Absolutely loved my stay here! It was quiet, peaceful, and filled with beautiful natural light from the big windows—perfect for a cozy nap. The highlight for me was the incredible bathroom—the shower and deep, spacious tub were just what I needed to unwind after long workdays. The space was roomy enough to work comfortably, yet still felt like a true retreat. Would definitely love to stay again!

I loved this little space. I'd taken myself away for a couple of nights me time and meeting old friends. Zoe was great, she let me use the driveway but the road looked to have good parking. The space was quirky and fun it even comes with a record player and a great selection of records. I'll definitely be returning. Thank you Zoe.

We needed somewhere to stay while finding a place to live in London. The flat was excellent and well equipped for our needs. Great place to stay.

We had a fabulous stay at the Design House. The house has fantastic interiors, whilst also being very welcoming and cosy. Marshall was an absolute gem and allowed us to store our bags at the house before the official check in time and also gave us extra time on the Sunday, which was much appreciated! She also gave my dog the warmest welcome, so definitely a dog friendly stay! Would happily stay here again, as the location is so close to the beach and great restaurants.

A lovely stay at the costal Cabin. The cabin was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay again. A lovely little find.

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at the lodge. Beautiful space to relax. Excellent communication prior meant everything was straight forward and clear. We will likely stay again!

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely shepherd’s hut! The hut itself was modern, spotlessly clean, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable getaway. The host went the extra mile by leaving us a welcome bottle of champagne, which was such a thoughtful touch. Throughout our stay, they were incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. The peaceful countryside setting was perfect for a relaxing weekend away. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cosy retreat. I’ll definitely be back!

Perfect little den for me and my partner. Came up for her birthday and when we arrived the host had put out lovely messages on the TV and bed for my partner's birthday which I hadn't even requested which made it so special on arrival. Loved seeing the alpacas. You are free to go see and feed them whenever you want. Two cute and friendly dogs as well. The couple who run the business were so welcoming and helpful with local things to do but also give you plenty of privacy. Perfect weekend for us highly highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Pancake Lodge, beautiful views, immaculate lodge, hot tub was a very good quality one, outdoor dining area was unique and creatively made, all amenities needed and clear communication throughout. Kari also was kind enough to add a birthday banner for us before arrival and helped plan for a later check in putting on some lights warmth etc. Very thoughtful extra touches were appreciated. Would highly recommend and will return.

Larissa’s quaint little cabin was a wonderful escape from the hustle & busy world we find ourselves in. She was responsive & left us some fresh eggs & also delicious homemade jam. We are a family of four & and whilst we were very comfortable the place is small. Our girls slept very well on the futon bed in the lounge. I imagine this place comes to life in summer when you can utilise the outdoor space; like the dining table. We found it quite crammed at mealtimes. The pool, even in November, was fantastic! Fresh & an absolutely wonderful experience. Thank you Larissa.

Lovely stay, Christopher was a fabulous host

Such a stunning spot. The view out over the valley is beautiful. The lovely Alfriston is a 5 minute walk away with delicious pubs and restaurants. Great walks directly from the lodge and no need to get in your car. Hot tub was great once we got it up to temperature with a bit of help from Mandy which was appreciated! Really recommend and we’d love to return one day.
