Vacation rentals with lake access in The Bronx

Great location, quiet and away from the street. Recommend to anyone coming to the area

10/10, best rental! The house felt like a hotel - it was immaculately clean with beautiful decor and in an ideal location. They put a lot of thought into it, there were so many little things we weren't expecting from an Airbnb that made this one top notch. We appreciated the fluffy clean towels and toiletries they provided. They had a whole section of baby items stored neatly in the garage and we used the baby monitor to keep an eye on the kiddos during the night. We really enjoyed the kayaks with life jackets in adult and kid sizes. They even thought to provide things like waterproof cell phone cases to take on the kayaks! They also had a small cooler, tons of beach chairs and lawn games. The location of the house is great, there's a little beach around the corner and 1 min drive into a part of town with some nice restaurants. We took a recommendation from the house's Insta-page and went on an easy hike on the boardwalk section of the Appalachian trail! It was a great time!

It is a nice property and very comfortable. Gloria is accommodating. We did have some issues with our check-in. But, she was responsive with solutions once the problem arose. We would stay here again.

We spent our family Christmas at Nancy's house and enjoyed a bit of Manhattan too. It was perfect. The house is in a quiet location with a wonderful view. I highly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay. Olga really cares about her guests' comfort. The setting is beautiful and feels secluded, even though the house is minutes from markets and restaurants. The bed is very comfortable. We were there in winter, so we didn't use the pool, but did have some sweet encounters with the resident geese and swan.

Had a great stay with a group of friends! Large common areas and lots of games provided. Yariv was a proactive communicator and was very interested in ensuring we had a great stay. Recommend for a larger group or family!

It was so lovely to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city. Isaac & Stef have a lovely home, perched high up on the hill. There are a few homes that are close, but the view over the Lake is absolutely worth it. Watching the sun rise over the lake was divine and enjoying the hot tub on a snowy afternoon was incredible. The kitchen was well-stocked and we were able to cook plenty over the weekend. We'll definitely be back. Thank you!

The property was spacious and enjoyable away from the chaos of being directly in the city. The property was the perfect balance of being close to the city but not directly in the chaos of it which was nice for tourist and 1st time people visiting. Hosts were greatly with making sure all needs were met.

My family and I were able to close out the final season of snowboarding at mountain creek at Joe’s place. Everything was so convenient for us to access. From pools, to mountain, and even the laundromat is just a couple doors away! Will definitely Book again. Loved the location of this room especially for our kids to be able to access the pools and back to the room. We had an amazing weekend.

the apartment overall was nice, the bathroom is a but small, and because you are not allowed to smoke , it would've been nice to have a couple of chairs and a small table out back.. also there needed to be extra dry towels and tissue Paper, for guest stay over 3 nights. Still a very nice place.

I stayed at David’s place for five days while my mother was convalescing nearby in New Canaan. It was such a wonderful place to come back to at the end of long days, quiet and tranquil and very private. This is a basement apartment with its own entrance and looks out onto a private backyard with a little pond with four sweet ducks. The space was immaculate upon entry. It has a well-equipped galley kitchen with a washer/dryer, full bathroom and separate bedroom with a TV. The bed was super cozy. Clean linens and towels are provided. Both Norwalk Hospital and Waveny Care Center are nearby, so if you have a loved one at either of these places and need to come spend a few days, this is a great alternative to area hotels. There are plenty of decent restaurants nearby, lots of parks and Norwalk’s Seaport district close by. Thanks, David, for a great stay!

This place is literally a piece of heaven! During our stay, we had a full frontal of the frozen lake, it was pure magic! Waking up to the beautiful view of the lake was magic. If you are trying to disconnect, relax, reconnect with your loved one, this is your spot! The details in this rental were to die for! From the beautiful kitchen, to the rooms, there is not a single spot in this rental that was overlooked by design!! There is also ample space outside to hang out and grill! It was a beautiful and relaxing winter stay, the host was extremely responsive, even went out his way to grab allergy medicine for me through one of the snowy days.. thank you so much for your kindness! This place is absolutely heaven! I am definitely coming back!

I want to start by saying that the host is beyond kind. Jack is a stand up guy and the perfect host. I do not think we could have been more fortunate to choose this house. The backyard amenities are stunning. Sitting on the dock outside was incredible. A family of swans lives close to the house and we would watch them in the mornings. The hot tub was such a nice bonus. Jack clearly takes great care to ensure that his guests feel welcomed and at home and I could not appreciate his kindness any more than I already do. I truly can not wait to come back and stay again as this weekend was really one to remember. We thank you Jack for an amazing experience and we’ll see you again real soon!

This is my second stay in the past two weeks - I highly recommend this spot. It’s private and beautiful. A quick drive to Bedford, and local restaurants are right down the road. The place is spotless, fully stocked and Fred is a great host. He’s so nice!

A wonderful stay! The home was beautifully modern, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed. The hosts were incredibly responsive and made everything seamless from check-in to check-out. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and stylish getaway.

Barbara's lovely home is well-appointed with a nice back deck and yard. It would be ideal for a couples get-away, especially in the warmer months. And you couldn't ask for a better host! She even brought in a recliner to help an elderly guest be comfortable. We had no complaints other than the furnace is a bit loud, but we wouldn't want to do without it in November.

The place is even better in person than in pictures. It's a fantastic setup that has both a view up top and water access down below - the best of both worlds. You feel tucked away even though you're not far from everything you need.

We had a great four-night stay at the Cottage. It's a huge space with a rustic feel, but with all the conveniences you need. We ate most meals in the breakfast nook that had gorgeous views from windows on three sides. If our days hadn't been so busy, we would have taken the time to have a fire in the fireplace. Maybe you'll have time! The king bed is comfortable if you like a soft mattress, but the big surprise was the sofa bed. If you want a firmer mattress, give it a try. It's the size of a queen bed and has no middle bar to stick you -- it's so comfortable! Emily was responsive when I asked about an item I couldn't find, and she also tried to fix a problem with the downstairs television. It couldn't be fixed during our stay, but I'm sure she'll have it up and running for yours. Ours was a very peaceful stay (even the resident rooster waited until the afternoon to crow!) and in the last few hours, we watched a hawk hunting breakfast in the back yard. It was hard to leave!

Let’s just start with how cute the place is decorated! It feels like home. The room looks smaller in the picture than in person! Plenty of room and a beautiful view. The bathroom was so charming and clean! Such great hosts! Even my daughter said she felt at home.
