We can’t recommend this enough. We were greeted , with love, kindness and respect. The unit was perfect in every way, clean, well balanced, and beautiful decorated. The home baked cookies and meals were the cherry on the cake. So much thought and care put into everything, from the moment we arrived to the time we departed. We had a wonderful and very comfortable stay - this property is in the perfect location for touring Clarens and the surrounding areas. We were there for he Titanic Challenge Trail run and felt right at home and had everything we needed in the unit.

Mercia was there to meet us and welcome us to the cottage. The cottage was exactly as described. Despite water-shedding in the area there was a water tank set up to ensure we always had water. The cottage is close to the village square so we could walk to dinner. Mercia was very friendly and an excellent host. She had baked delicious biscotti, made fudge and prepared a sumptuous breakfast. There was even a bottle of sherry for a welcome drink. I would definitely want to stay there again when visiting Clarens.

Amazing accommodation with very clean rooms & lounge and lovely view in the morning. Definite would love to visit again.

We had a wonderful time at Basil's place. It is beautiful and peaceful, with many beautiful hikes that you can start from the house. The view from the house overlooking the forest, river and mountains is incredible. Basil was a very friendly, informative and helpful host. We will definitely be back soon.

Your guest house is lovely and tranquil, a very peaceful stay and super close to Welkom for the up and down trip I needed to do for scouting of venues in Welkom. Johan your hosting skill and kindness is fantastic, you welcomed me in and saw to all my needs, sat down over a coffee for conversation which was great and I'm believe I have made a new friend. You will definitely see me again, the thing that impressed me the most which mas seem trivial was that fact that you had two different types of pillows. Soft for those who like a of pillow and a firm pillow for folks like myself who prefer the firmed pillow. I had a restful and relaxing weekend and will definitely be back again. We had the most wonderful stay at Hamid and Vida's house! This place is the definition of a 'home away from home'. Hamid and Vida were so welcoming that it felt like staying with friends you’ve known your whole life! The room was nice and cozy, the bathroom is perfectly clean. You can see everything is well taken care of. The shared kitchen has everything you need and Vida is always around if you ever need something! We highly recommend spending a few days at this place if you want to feel at home and meet incredible people!
