Cottage vacation rentals in Tasman

As our last stop on our New Zealand trip, we can say with complete certainty that The Folly was by far the best Airbnb of our trip. If you have the opportunity to book Lesley's spot in Ruby Bay, do not hesitate! The house is magical and amazingly designed. The sunrises (and even sunsets) were stunning. Lesley was a great host and always clearly communicated instructions. We wish we could have stayed longer and hope to come back some day!

River Road Retreat was a delight to stay at, and Peter and Rebecca lovely hosts. The cottage is beautiful, clean and in a gorgeous setting surrounded by fields, and with stunning views to the hills in the distance. We loved the welcome bottle of wine and yummy nibbles, as well as the delicious breakfast served every morning. The air is fresh and clean, the water absolutely pure, and after three days we’ve returned home refreshed and reenergised. Wonderful!! Big thanks from us!!!

Gorgeous little cottage in the most beautiful setting down a tree lined lane and set upon a picturesque valley stream. The cottage is perfectly comfortable with everything we needed for a relaxing little home away from home.

I felt so welcomed into Jennifer’s home, perfect home stay. The peaceful surroundings were amazing, highly recommend the outdoor bath. I would recommend this home stay.

Liana’s little cottage is just divine. The carport was especially appreciated when the rain appeared. Pipi always came across and greeted us whenever we returned home from exploring such a wonderful area. Liana has thoughtfully presented her cottage for travellers in mind. We loved staying with Liana and loved the Karamea and Oparara Basin areas. PS Pipi just loves belly rubs and lots of pats!

Innlet is a wonderful peaceful cabin on a beautiful little farm setting right next to a small rushing creek and very near Farewell Spit and surrounding coastal - and the town of Collingwood.

beautiful spot and cozy accommodation - just what my mum and I needed after a horse trek in the rain! Steve was friendly and offered lots of local recommendations (check out the market!)

We loved our stay at the Sandcastle. Rustic charm, perfectly adequate for a private quiet getaway. Great spot to base yourself to explore the area. Awesome host. Thanks Steve.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved it so much that we didn't want to leave. The hostesses were very welcoming and so helpful with great communication. The place was better thsn expected. It had everything u needed and more. It was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and feeling of home in our time here. We would definitely love to come back and recommend this place to anybody who is keen to stay in the area. Thank u once again for a wonderful stay. 😁

Positively delightful! From Caroline’s warm greeting to her fresh baked sweets to the fresh flowers, stocked fridge, and stunning garden, we couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. The house was the perfect retreat after 5 days backpacking. It was a total treat to experience this English cottage in New Zealand. It works!

Wow this really is a perfect pocket of paradise. Absolutely idyllic location with stunning views and nothing but the sound of the wildlife. Loved the retro furnishings and views from every window. Elspeth is the perfect host making us feel welcome from the minute we arrived and helped us plan our itinerary for our short stay. Mapua is a pretty little harbourside village only a 10 minute drive away and well worth a visit. We would definitely come back and this time for longer. Thank you Elspeth!

We stayed in the cottage for four days and loved it. It is just private enough, and the property is serene with excellent views and mature landscaping. Deborah and Guy were incredibly responsive and friendly. We loved being so close to town, to the beach, and to Abel Tasman. We would stay here again in a heartbeat the next time we visit the area!

Our favourite place so far..a beautiful & peaceful rural location. Spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds & perfect pillows. Large windows framing gorgeous views & a patio to enjoy breakfast whilst watching all kinds of birds. Fresh eggs/milk & fruit too. We wanted to extend our stay but it was fully booked.. Thanks Anna!

Adorable and very comfortable cottage that had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Very private at the end of a well maintained gravel road. Christine and Dave were very friendly. Would recommend this stay.

Fantastic place, off the beaten track. Gina very responsive and supportive of our very late arrival. Sadly we didn't have time to use the pool but looked gorgeous.

We had a great stay at John and Kim’s house, perfect for exploring the area or chilling in Mapua. Made good use of the bikes and the house was well equipped and very comfortable. Hope to be back.
