An amazing house for family vacations! The house is very well equipped and very spacious with a large swimming pool to enjoy the sun. Isabelle was very responsive and pleasant during our stay. I totally recommend it!

We loved our stay at this charming farm! The beauty and tranquility of this place is beyond words. The houses on the farm are beautifully decorated and the host was super welcoming. The highlight of our stay was definitely the chance to disconnect from daily life and simply enjoy nature. We visited the nearby villages and hiked to the top of the Serra da Estrela, which was an unforgettable experience. We spent our days exploring the vast lands and admiring the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. In the evenings, we kicked back in the hammocks, enjoying the mountain breeze and the sound of birds chirping in the distance. The local cheese was a real treat, it was one of the tastiest cheeses I've ever had! All in all, our stay at this farm was an experience we will never forget. We returned home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I would highly recommend this farm to anyone looking for a natural getaway. Thank you so much for sharing your little slice of paradise with us!

The home is large and comfortable, the kitchen is very good. The backyard is very beautiful, everything was fine.

Could not have picked a better place to relax and embrace a more authentic area of Portugal. Maria and Goncalo made us feel right at home. We enjoyed the grounds, the puppy, the wine, the visit with the gracious hosts, and the morning bread truck delivery. The facilities are incredible and would be perfect for a couple or a small family looking to enjoy a peaceful retreat. Felt really lucky to have found such a gem. Thank you Maria and Gonzalo! The place is absolutely wonderful. We joined a group of friends and spent a weekend at this house, we were surrendered ! The house is stunning, as is the landscape that surrounds it. We recommend to everyone who wanted to spend a quiet weekend, with family or with a good group of friends.

Very beautiful home in the heart of a winery, surrounded by beautiful hills and vines. The home itself was very cozy and accommodating for us as 4 persons. There was a fully stocked kitchen, so we were able to make food for ourselves. The hosts were very friendly and had a lot of recommendations. We didn't use the pool since it was a bit chilly, but it looked well maintained and refreshing for hotter days. I would definitely recommend!

Beautiful apartment with plenty of space. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this location. The host was friendly and forthcoming. The house was clean and fully equipped. Fortunately there were heaters all over the place, so even during our winter stay, we stayed warm and cozy.

Great hosts make a stay fantastic. Puri and Paulo are certainly the greatest hosts we have encountered ever. They elevate their quiet and peaceful apartment by their incredible generosity and friendliness. We arrived late afternoon to a welcome plate of local meats and cheeses all of which were delicious and the best that we have had on our visit to Portugal. We were expecting to have to find a local restaurant for dinner - however Puri had a roast chicken ready for us due to the late arrival! A proper free range country chicken - full of flavour. The fridge was stocked with breakfast items including lovelly fresh fruit and jams made by their small company - some of the best blueberry jam I have ever eaten. Paulo very kindly found a winery visit that was open (during harvest) and booked it for us and suggested some view pionts we should visit. Quanta Terra is in a must see building with great wines and a perfect host. Saddly that we only could stay 2 nights - we will be back.

A warm welcome, Dario not being present he passed the relay to 2 people including the cleaner to our great surprise, she brought us a beautiful bread and homemade jam for our arrival. The house is very clean and pleasant fresh for perfect summer! Provsende is a small, typical and pleasant village. We are always afraid of the people's eyes with our dogs and everything went very well, you just have to organize with Fernanda the cleaner so that she can do her work every 3.4 days the beds and bath towel are changed. We were pampered like a hotel! Parking is relatively easy, just do it at the bell tower on Sundays mornings at Mass😉. Thanks for everything!

We enjoyed our stay. The property features several out buildings that are serviced by a main building where food is prepared. Our out building was lovely, made of the local granite and sturdy as a mountain. The furnishings have a traditional vibe & we felt very cozy. Bonus: there was access to a washing machine & drying rack we made use of. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Our stay at Lugar das Letras was nothing short of magical. This beautifully restored house, once an old school, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards—a true feast for the eyes. The rooms and bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, thoughtfully designed to make us feel at home. But what made our experience truly unforgettable were Carla and Paula, the two wonderful ladies who took care of every detail. Every morning, they prepared a memorable breakfast for our entire family, filled with warmth and care. Their kindness and hospitality turned our stay into a dream. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise in the Douro Valley. Highly recommended!

This was our favourite airbnb in Portugal! From the moment we arrived we were treated like this was our home away from home. Pedro's hospitality went above and beyond throughout our stay. This property is truly stunning and the pictures do not do it justice. Our family of four each had our own bedroom and bathroom (one for me and husband and one each for my teenage kids) which was a real treat. The kitchen was well equipped and the recently installed AC was a bonus. The property sits high atop the Douro Valley overlooking the stunning Douro River. It's like you're looking at a postcard, so peaceful and serene. From the pool you can look out onto the beautiful vistas. We were brought pastries in the morning and a fantastic cocktail while we swam in the pool, both of these were a highlight. If traveling to the Douro Valley look no further and just book this place!

I can't say enough about how incredible this Airbnb was, Carla and her property were so beyond expectations. My family and I felt extremely comfortable there, it is remote but absolutely beautiful. We were not able to use the pool, because the weather was a little bit cold. I jumped in for like 20 minutes and even though it was cold it was very nice. Carla was so communicative the entire time we were there, she made lots of helpful suggestions and helped us to book a tour around the Douro Valley and surrounding areas. She and a friend also cooked us breakfast every morning, which was delicious and helped us to start our day. 10 out of 10, I would absolutely return.

Almost a dollhouse... with everything we need. Very nice place. The entire surroundings of the farm convey a peace and a pleasant feeling of isolation. Here you can enjoy the silence and a very beautiful landscape. A walking tour in the middle of the apple trees is very good. I recommend for rest.
