Places to stay in Svalbard and Jan Mayen

We had an amazing stay in Lornts' place. It was spacious, well equipped and the location could not be better. Lornts was also very responsive and accommodating, letting us check out later which was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend this place for families or larger groups of travellers.

Morten is an amazing host. we really enjoyed staying at his place and he went beyond expectations to make our stay comfortable. He even came to pick us up at the airport upon arrival and gave us a tour of the town and its sights! Beautiful apartment with everything we needed and Morten is an amazing host. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I loved staying here during my 11-day trip! Remi was very responsive and helpful. Everything about the apartment was clean and comfortable. All the kitchen appliances worked, and there were enough pots, pans, dishes, and enough basic cooking material (salt, pepper, herbs, oils, etc) available!the washer and dryer was great to have. Would definitely stay there again!

I was going to write a review about how this apartment is awesome (which it definitely is), with amazing views (it absolutely has), in great condition, well-equipped, NASA-level clean (check, check, and check), but what was most impressive was how efficient and professional Anna is as a Host. Want to know how to run the stove? She has prepared: 1) Instructions are printed out + 2) laminated + 3) taped to the appliance + 4) include step-by-step photos! And she does this for *everything* in the apartment. Whenever I had a question, Anna responded instantly. She even welcomed me personally, carried my luggage, and gave a full detailed tour of the apartment. Very proactive. And she is very knowledgeable about Svalbard, and can answer any question about the area. And the apartment itself was perfect. Exactly matches the photos. When you are in Svalbard, you expect to be challenged and "roughing it" a little bit, but this felt like being pampered in luxury the whole time. 100% recommended!

Kristin was a great host, always available and welcomed us with great gifts. The apartment was even nicer and more welcoming than it looked in the photo. 900 meters from the main clubs you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Longyear, we were also able to see the Northern Lights from the windows on the roof. A great choice for those who want to enjoy a quiet vacation, without having to settle for the small spaces of a hotel room. Highly recommended, look forward to coming back
