House vacation rentals in Surry County

We LOVED staying in Eli's home. Our son got married this weekend, and we chose his home due to the location and the amenities if offered. It was more beautiful than we imagined! Big wrap around porch, beautiful yard, hot tub, screened in porch, a big screen TV in the living room, and comfortable beds. We felt very much at home and would recommend it to anyone looking for a home to rent in this area.

This place was absolutely beautiful! The backyard was what really set it off! So creative and cozy! Hands down one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. So peaceful and quiet at night. We grilled, hot tubbed and sat by the fire. Will definitely be back. Great relaxing getaway.

If you're looking for views from heaven this is the place! Its breathtaking. Spacious, quiet, and picturesque. House is nestled between neighbors and you'd never know. Wildlife and wilderness meets quaint neighborhood... but at a golf resort. Only downfall is if you dont get groceries prior to arrival,you're out of luck during winter since your on the top of the mountain. Its about 20 to 30min down either direction for them (I shopped on the way in). Things to do are also sparse at this time of year. But, that wasn't the point for our trip, it was to "disappear" for a few days. Bryan was an awesome host. He kept intouch throughout the entire process. I had to make adjustments to my initial occupancy number and cut our trip short a day due to weather related precautions. He was accommodating for each request. Couldn't have had a better host. He invited us back and also made us aware he had other properties on the same resort. All around pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Kay's place was great for my family, I was traveling with a 1 year old. Very spacious and clean. The pictures matched the space, neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Property is well lit and parking is very close to entrance. Overall a great stay and will definitely come again!

We were in town for a family wedding at the WinMock and this AirBnB was a perfect location. The house was very clean and Benjamin was a responsive host.

Ashley was a phenomenal host, and went above and beyond helping us with resources for finding homes (as we are relocating to the area) and recommendations for areas she thought we'd enjoy. she was very quick to respond and truly made us feel like family in her beautiful haven of peace and tranquility. everything was awesome and so was she. thank you for a truly memorable experience 💖

This house was wonderful! We went wanting a relaxing mountain getaway and that’s exactly what we got! Speaking as someone who’s 6 months pregnant the house was so comfortable, the beds, sheets, and pillows were the best! No house issues the entire stay. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. There was plenty of space for everyone ( 3 couples) and I love how each room has its own bathroom space. The kitchen is fully equipped/ functional which we used for several meals during our stay. We enjoyed the board and card games the host provided each night. While we didn’t eat out locally, we did travel to Mayberry for the day and had a great experience. Definitely recommend staying here!!

This couldn't be more private or peaceful...the grounds are beautiful with trees, flowers, two fountains, so many places to sit and relax and then you have a pool and hot tub. A beautiful area to dine outside with a grill. Our dogs loved exploring the yard. Stefi offers many ideas on places to visit and to eat, which was so helpful. We will definitely book with Stefi again.

Our stay at Granny’s House was wonderful! The house was warm and cozy, and in a great location convenient to nearby restaurants. Only a short drive to the restaurants/stores/brewery downtown…. We loved The Angry Troll. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee, snacks, drinks, etc which was so convenient for our weekend stay. The king bed was super comfy and although the home is on the main road, the provided sound machine drowned out the street noise. It rained the entire weekend, so we didn’t get to use the outdoor fire pit, but it was a very neat space with wood provided (we plan to return during warmer weather to enjoy the beautiful outdoor space:-) Dana was a pleasure to communicate with and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay!

If you want a nice spot not too far from town, this is the place. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Thank you for hosting us!

I only wish i had the words to describe how awesome it was. This was very possibly the cleanest and well maintained Airbnb I've stayed in. My wife and I both loved how Mary has such clear instructions and everything in the house is labeled. We loved how relaxing and clean everything was, I would definitely stay there again.

We loved it here! The farm is so beautiful and peaceful, you’re surrounded by the animals. The space is very cozy. Was easy to cook meals. We liked trail running around pilot mountain state park and visiting the breweries in town.

This was our first time in Mt. Airy so we had no idea where to stay. Thank goodness we came across Dennis and Ben's place. We absolutely loved our stay! It looked exactly as it did in the pictures. My wife loved the character of this warming, and comfortable home. We also loved the fireplace in the dining area, and the big dining room table. The bedrooms were very spacious, and the temperature in the home was perfect! The only thing my wife complained about was leaving to go home! We had breakfast every morning, and enjoyed the kitchen. We sent a text about a few things, and the host responded promptly and dropped off what was needed! So we will be back, and if you need a place that's nice, clean, convenient, this is your place! Thank you both for a great stay!

Carina's place was a great place to relax. We were in town for a wedding and family gathering. It is very easy to get to and close to restaurants and stores. I grew up in the area so I was familiar with getting around. Carina is very responsive and easy to get in touch with. The place was clean and well kept. The neighborhood is quite and we felt safe. I would definitely recommend Carina's place to stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay here! The house has a lot of character from the past and a beautiful history. We felt right at home. The beds were comfortable with nice linens. The furniture was also comfortable and there were retro touches throughout the home. The bathroom is gorgeous. It was spotless! A super clean and clutter free space. Just across the street is a green space with a paved walking path that lead to town. I really enjoyed the creek as well! We’d definitely stay here again.

Great location for me and the kids. We walked down to the nearby park with skatepark, playground, soccer, basketball and river walk. We walked to downtown Mt Airy from the house. Location was right on busy street and across from the post office but traffic was moderate and not bothersome. House was quaint and as pictured. The kitchen had needed supplies and it was close to a grocery store. We enjoyed our night in Mt airy.

In lieu of a hotel room, we stayed here while traveling home from vacation. It was a perfect spot for our family of 4 and our dog. The fenced in back yard was huge bonus. The kitchen was stocked with all we could possibly need, and the place was spotless.

Matt was a wonderful host! The home was very beautiful, private and gated so we felt very safe. Had everything we needed and was an absolutely great place for our dogs. If there was anything needed, Matt responded quickly and helped out. We will book again in the future! Thank you!

The Little Blue House was the perfect blend of “Mayberry Charm” and modern farmhouse! The home was immaculately clean and stocked with everything we needed! We loved it so much we re-booked right away for our next trip through. Laura is a great host- very responsive and clearly cares about her guests. 100% recommend! You won’t regret it!

Since this was a brand new rental with no reviews, we were a bit unsure about renting. Boy, are we happy that we did. Pam is an excellent host. She’s responsive, helpful and considerate. The house is exactly as described in the listing right down to the Christmas tree in the picture (for the season). The home is newly remodeled and immaculate. The bed we slept in was comfortable with fresh linens. The home was decorated very nice and seemed to be stocked (we did not cook) with all kitchen and bathroom essentials needed. Right down to coffee, tea and snacks in the kitchen to a toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom. Pam’s place is a few blocks from downtown “Mayberry”. My husband and I enjoyed the brisk several block walk. We will definitely try to stay at Pam’s place again and highly recommend it. Too bad we can’t keep this little gem a secret. Super clean, nice decoration (where are all the curtains from? Great patterns !) and a superb location - we had a little walk in nature before moving on to see Galax and the Mountain Music Centre. Very close.

My family and I rented this house while visiting family. The house was perfect for our needs and close to town. We would stay here again.

This is a beautiful, peaceful location! The house is charming and met our needs! Perfect location for us as we celebrated a loved ones wedding. Thought it might be too cold, being an older farmhouse, but the heat worked so well! (I would advice leaving the bedroom door open at night, because the return air vent is in the living room. This keeps the temp more even.) We were so glad to see coffee pot & coffee filters ready for use for our coffee loving family! Also, the shower pressure was amazing! Thank you for a wonderful time!

Very nice hillside home. Very close drive to Mt Airy/Mayberry as well easy to get to Pilot Mountain. As pictured. You enter from front deck inside to a landing where you then go down to the Living room and Kitchen area or up to the 2 bedrooms and bathroom. Was clean and not cluttered up too much with extra knickknacks. Michelle was very responsive. Thanks for a great stay.
