It was perfect. So glad we found it. We came to see our daughter play her conference basketball championship and they won!!! More than enough room for everyone and we had great family quality time together.

We stay at Vontae's place often. This stay was no different than the others...clean and well-appointed. We even noticed some updates from previous stays. It was always a pleasure to talk with Vontae and he is very proactive and communicative. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

We were comfortable from the moment we walked through the door of this house. It's welcoming with an ideal balance of private and communal space, inside and out. The kitchen had everything we needed, so over three days we ate every meal at the house. We didn't always need to cook because there was prepared food within a few minutes' drive. Susan provided plenty of suggestions for groceries, restaurants, and activities at Veterans State Park. We all slept great and attribute that to the quality of the bedding and mattresses as well as the sense of peace in the neighborhood. We spent evenings working on a puzzle enjoying a cozy fire and the fairy lights around the mantle. The wifi allowed remote work. Susan communicated well and was quick to respond to questions. She was personable and welcoming. We look forward to returning in warmer weather when we can take advantage of the pool and spend more time on the dock watching the sunset. We couldn't be happier with our stay. Thanks, Susan!

The pictures don't show how beautiful the lake house is, inside and out. The kitchen had everything we needed and beds were very comfortable. Tje house was super clean and charming. Faye was very friendly and flexible regarding check out timing which made our stay even more special. We loved out time at the lake house!

I stayed for two months. The cabin is very cozy and the bed is comfortable. Barbara was always available if I had questions. The kitchen is well equipped, and plenty of linens. Barbara made sure I was stocked up on the necessities, paper towels, toilet paper. The cabin is in the country with hunting during this time. Be prepared for daily gunfire. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Review: Our stay at the lake house on Lake Blackshear was nothing short of incredible! My family and I traveled 12 hours to spend Thanksgiving with my father-in-law, and this home provided the perfect setting for a truly memorable holiday. The views were absolutely breathtaking—watching the sunrise and sunset from the porch quickly became our favorite part of the day. The house was well-equipped with all the amenities we needed, making our stay both comfortable and convenient. We spent our days fishing and relaxing by the water, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. It was exactly what we needed to unwind and reconnect as a family. The host clearly put a lot of thought into making the home welcoming and enjoyable for guests. If you’re looking for a serene getaway with stunning views and everything you need to relax, this lake house is the perfect choice. Would highly recommend.

Perfect quiet place to relax. Plenty of room for a large family or multiple couples. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning sunshine with the brisk Fall air! The location was perfect for our weekend adventures- Georgia Veterans Stare Park, Andersonville, downtown Cordele, and Montezuma.

We had a wonderful time! Dana was very responsive and welcomed us when we arrived, making sure we had what we needed. The cottage was cozy and cute. The surroundings peaceful. Dana even set out hot chocolate and peppermint and the winter-themed flannel sheets were perfect on a cold night!
