Experience local culture while enjoying amazing views from our beach hammocks. Our Teal Cabana is set up as a duplex. Both sides are similar: Each side has its own king bed, kitchenette, bathroom. While sharing a large porch. Perfect for couples. Only a 1/2 hour boat ride to the reef. Only a 20min. car ride to rain forest and waterfalls.

Three purpose built guest rooms downstairs from my home. They share a veranda with two hammocks for each room. Seashell is an end room. We are located on a lovely beach with shady palms - in the Garifuna fishing village of Hopkins. Hopkins is a village that gives you access to kayaking, snorkeling, diving the barrier reef, jungle treks, and Mayan ruins. Open your room door. Step right out onto the beach. I booked one night just for transfer to another place near by hopkins, but ended up with staying 6 nights at tricias place. the place is very relaxed and beautiful, has a feeling of home. it was only a few people staying there, but it was very easy to meet the other people. tricia makes sure travelers connect with each other. she makes dinner every night, which was really tasty. Tricia is a very kind and helpful woman who takes care of you and do that little extra. wouldn't stay anywhere else in hopkins.

When you dream of a sweet little place on a beautiful beach, you are picturing Tricia's apartments. It is such a happy place, with hammocks on the porch, an oceanfront view, gentle breezes and lovely energy. Tricia was one of the most helpful hosts I have met on my journeys, she had a ton of information and was always quick to respond. I had everything I needed for a comfortable and restful break and there are plenty of adventures and excellent places to eat. The people in town were super friendly and kind, and the local culture is lively and very interesting. The only downside of this place was that I had to leave it to come back to work. Thank you for a lovely time Tricia!

Gaston welcomed us with his own very warm Dutch Caribbean charm. very quirky, friendly, arty, delightful beachfront spot, which is closer to the water than any other place we saw in Hopkins. fabulous breakfast, gorgeous puppies, and outstanding value. if you have a love of horizontal life, and don't need glam, come here! happy place

This is a perfect spot; quiet, private, beautiful, and still safely walkable to the center of things. Tricia creates a great environment and is available and helpful as needed. The only problem - it’s so lovely it was hard to leave the hammock!
