Upon arrival, it was easy to find and easy to get into. It is right on Lake Huron and the beach itself is immaculate. The space was beautifully decorated and had all kinds of useful amenities. It was really cozy. :) Amazing experience! Will be back!

We stayed at this charming cottage for a weekend with our family of 11, ranging from 17 to 74 years old. It was the perfect place for all of us to come together and enjoy quality time in a peaceful setting. The booking process was quick and easy, and check-in was seamless. From the moment we arrived, we felt immediately welcomed by the host, who had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The cottage was incredibly neat and tidy. I personally loved that there were limited televisions, which meant we spent more time playing family games and bonding. The cottage was very well-stocked with all the essentials, and we never felt like we were missing anything. Situated in a peaceful and beautiful area, the cottage offered a relaxing atmosphere perfect for unwinding. Although it rained the entire weekend, it didn’t dampen the fun—there was still plenty to enjoy indoors, and the scenery was stunning, even from the comfort of the cottage.

We had an excellent time on our moms’ trip! Amanda has excellent communication. Everything was great! We didn’t find ourselves in need of anything not provided. Everything was as described or better! Beautiful views of the lake from both floors! Five queen beds is like a unicorn in the rental world! We loved the three queens in the one large room! Ultimate sleepover! The only thing we wished was different was the bench seating at the table because of our old lady backs during craft time 😂 We would definitely stay again!

My friend and I stayed at the little house with the yellow door for a weekend. It was the perfect home base for exploring the northern Thumb area. We highly recommend visiting Thumb Brewing, which is less than a mile from the house.

I had a wonderful time here! So peaceful and private, great outdoor space, and the home was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated! I felt right at home and was able to be comfortable quickly! Rachel was quick to respond, provided recommendations, and the pricing was perfect! Highly recommend for a family getaway, couples retreat, or even a solo mom trip (like myself)! I booked this beautiful home after my first reservation and host cancelled on me due to the storms. Well, I can say… we are so happy with our stay. It was exactly as described and even better than expected. April really is a one of a kind host, so good that I had to take notes for my own Air bnb adventure. She thought of everything! I’ve never had a better stocked kitchen. We always cook and make a big meal and we sure did not want for anything. We were even greeted with a local baked good and extra sheets and blankets for the dogs. These hosts were the best I’ve had in Michigan, if not the whole country. I’m thankful for people who truly consider someone’s stay and thinks of it all. Thank you again to the hosts. The Cabin was spotless and one of my favorite features was the deer lights.

Such a great stay! So close to a great beach and tons of stuff close for last minute grocery runs etc. House was very clean and spacious! If staying making sure you bring extra paper towels, trash bags, ziplocs, and those sort of things cause they are sparse (this do tell you this when you book!)

We had another great time with my brothers and a few close friends for our annual ice fishing getaway. This house fits our needs perfectly. It was a very snowy weekend, but was still able to get out and ice fish and enjoy the Houghton Lake area! I would highly recommend this home when visiting the Houghton Lake area.

My family with a newborn, 2 year old, and 8 year old, made a last minute booking with Nancy and she still went out of her way to make our stay special. The place was clean and smell free. All of the tools needed to cook were present. We had enough towels and linen and extras if needed. We made use of the washer and drier and had no issues. Although we visited in the winter, I can see why Nancy's place is a desirable location for summer visitors. We loved having a Family Fare across the street and a Walmart and a local butcher within a 3 minute drive. We also loved the public playground at the school 5 minutes away and hiking at Marl lake trail 20 minutes away. If we're ever back in the area, we will definitely stay with Nancy again! Thank you for everything!!

This Airnb was spacious and clean with all the comforts of home. Our host was promt with entry information and departure task reminders. We were minutes from town for groceries and dining out. We enjoyed a relaxing beautiful sunny day kayaking on the river. Definitely would love to stay again.

This was our second time staying here in just over a month. We loved it again and will be back in the spring hopefully! Super convenient walking access to the center of downtown and we can’t wait to stay when the ice cream shop below is open in the summer. That will make it even better!

Kids had a great time playing in snow and it was exactly what we needed. Anddddd the host and her husband went ABOVE AND BEYOND and showed right up to pull and rescue my car out of the ditch as I was leaving. Forever grateful for peace 🖤

This was our first Airbnb experience, and it exceeded our expectations! My family and I had a wonderful time at this home. The house was cozy, well-stocked, and truly felt like home. We especially enjoyed sitting outside by the beach, which was such a peaceful and relaxing experience. The house even had extra beach items that made our stay even more enjoyable. We only needed to bring a few extra items since everything we needed was provided.
