Cabin vacation rentals in Stamford

The Firkin Lodge was as described and displayed in photos. John met us at our arrival time and walked us around the Lodge. he owns/runs The Bluebell Inn next door that has the classic pub feel with friendly locals as well as great food. he is a really lovely chap and will happily come back again.

We had a fantastic stay at Rachel’s accommodation for our school friendship groups annual weekend get together! It was the perfect space for us and Rachel was incredibly helpful and responded very quickly to any queries we had. Thanks so much!

Wow! Where do I start! The lodge absolutely exceeded our expectations! The photos looked beautiful but it was even more amazing in person! The weekend away was a celebration for my birthday and a new job. Nat & JJ had made a real fuss with a big balloon and banners! Which made me feel lovely! The lodge was spotless! The style was quirky and right up our street! There was everything and more you could think of in the lodge and even a very thoughtful welcome basket!! The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable! Now for the views 😍 what an incredible site to wake up In the morning with a cuppa and see the wonderful lake and people on the jet ski! The hot-tub was just an added bonus! Overall we were so incredibly happy with our decisions to stay! We all had the best weekend and can’t wait to return! Thank you so much again xx

Wigwam’s was such a lovely, serene staycation for us this weekend. Very easy to travel to, an amazing accommodation which was accurately described on the listing, and Patrick was responsive & helpful when we arrived. We’d love to come back!

Great little spot, sad not to be able to swim in the lake but enjoyed the view from the hot tub all the same. The beautiful lodge is 25-35 mins from Stamford where there are lots of lovely restaurants and shops and Rutland Water where we hired bikes for the day and cycled the 17 mile circuit. Stamford also has a Cook, so great and convenient if you are eating in. Not much to do in the immediate vicinity, but some lovely walks around the lake.

Damon was an extremely conscientious host with a friendly jovial manner and attentive to my every need. The cabin was a really beautiful space well appointed with every convenience catered for. A truly restful place to break a journey or use as a base to visit the many local areas of interest.

Had a lovely stay in the lodge. Beds comfy, place was clean and luxurious, great to have robes for when utilising the hot tub. Temp of hot tub did unfortunately vary and was cold on first night but soon sorted through instructions from host. Overall a very lovely stay with beautiful views and secluded quiet environment.WiFi a bonus! Lovely touches including bottle of wine, welcome note and folder providing info on local area and places to eat. We enjoyed visiting the foxton locks, the local tearoom and the local market for some lovely fresh produce.

This lodge is absolutely beautiful inside and out. It’s one of the nicest places we have never stayed. It’s so peaceful around the lake. I really can’t fault it. The host was amazing as well. It was NYE and they was supper responsive. Loved it thank you

Had a lovely peaceful stay here with some friends, hot tub was a lovely bonus and was ready for our arrival and nice and clean.

Great little getaway in a lovely park-like location on a beautiful lake. If you like watersports, this is the place for you! (We were in the area to visit family, so we didn’t partake in any water sports). Very well appointed lodge with everything you need. A couple minor issues (eg. couldn’t find a remote) were dealt with quickly. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway or family vacation.

We visited Donna’s barn conversion for two nights as we were visiting the area with our daughter for a netball tournament. The accommodation exceeded our expectations and was like a home from home. We especially liked the full kitchen, beautiful countryside, wild rabbits, welcome food basket and the privacy that the barn provided. Thanks Donna

Host Chris was very welcoming and informative. Lodge was a lovely retreat for two in perfect location, very private and peaceful. Would highly recommend local farm shop Farndon Fields Market Harborough, great local produce and we ate a delicious breakfast there. Market Harborough itself worth a visit too. Local pub Coach & Horses Lubenham is under new management, very friendly and good selection of well kept beers. Would highly recommend, we are already looking to book again. Ian & Gee

Sunning location by the side of a small lake. Sunsets were stunning. Lodge is very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Bed is super comfortable with luxury bed linens. The shower is huge and excellent. Lots to do in the local area. Mini Meadows petting farm is very close and was very much enjoyed by our 3 year old granddaughter. Loads of pubs within a few minutes drive and the lovely market town of Market Harborough has lots of lovely shops and some great eating places. And every supermarket you can think of!

I booked this as a gaming retreat for my friend and I as a mini-stag and it was so much more than we had hoped. Super peaceful, the Alpacas and Sheep were lovely to pet and we were given carrots to feed them which was a great treat. The golf cart was a lovely novelty too. We were really well looked after before and upon arrival. The cabin is located in a private and secluded area with it's own grounds, lake and outdoor areas with a large firepit. It is very well appointed and clean with more than enough space for just us two. I'd love to bring the family here but dogs aren't welcome, other than this, the place is a perfect little retreat and I 100% recommend. Thank you, Mel!
