Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Staffordshire Moorlands District

The property met our requirements which was within walking distance to my daughter's. A very comfortable property with the space that we needed. Alison was a great host and would certainly stay here again.

We recently booked a much-needed break and were on the lookout for somewhere within 45 minutes from home, with good walks nearby. After some searching, we found a hidden gem in Jess’s place, and it turned out to be the perfect spot for our little getaway! From the moment we arrived, Jess’s place impressed us with its cleanliness, warmth, and comfort. The property was well-equipped with a variety of teas and coffee, which was a lovely touch. The kitchen was fully kitted out, so we were able to prepare all of our breakfasts and evening meals with ease. We made sandwiches for lunch, which we took with us during our walks. The beds were really comfortable, and there were plenty of clean towels and blankets available, though we didn’t really need them as the place was wonderfully insulated. A special mention goes to Jess’s thoughtful gesture of leaving treats and a towel out for our dog, Rhori—he was thrilled! The home is well equipped and decorated to a high standard. The area is peaceful and perfect for a getaway. We was here for a friend's wedding, so didn't get to explore the area too much but the house was a great place to relax after a long day. Thanks to Robbie & Kelly for being excellent hosts.

A beautiful cottage in a great location. The hot tub next to the river is just fantastic after a long walk. Plenty of walking both easy and challenging. The walk to the pub was easy and accessible through a public footpath. There are lots of charming villages to explore. We got the bus out one day which was very easy from the cottage, over the bridge at the top of the road, and walked back via plenty of pubs… A marvellous long weekend.

We were looking for somewhere close to where we needed to be, and would allow us to bring our 2 well behaved dogs. So glad we did. The house is beautifully presented, the attention to detail was outstanding. There were many thoughtful touches including the flowers, chocolates and donut dog biscuits. The log burner was lovely and the supply of wood much appreciated. Very comfortable bed and quality bed linen was again much appreciated. And the overall huge tick in the box for us was the house top to bottom is spotlessly clean. Highly recommend and we will be back.

This was easily the best airbnb we have ever stayed in, it was perfect in every way. The private field for our dog Queenie to run around in was the cherry on top of the bakewell tart! We have never come across this when searching for a place... she just loved it! Hopping Cottage was divine... quiet, peaceful and immaculate! The hot tub was super lovely and private and a real treat.. we stayed for three days and went in it 8 times so we must have loved it! We will definitely be returning here... there's no need to change a thing it was just perfect in every way! Thank you so much, we've had the best time. Place was exactly as advertised. Easy access and host communication great. Right on a bus stop or walkable to town centre. All in all great stay

Charlotte is a fantastic host - very welcoming and has a fabulous apartment with quality amenities. Had everything we needed for our stay and more. Castleton is a perfect location for exploring the Peak District. Highly recommended.

Absolutely perfect place for our overnight stay with a friend and my dog! The property was very accessible and dog friendly with lots of walking spots on the doorstep. Easy to find and the place itself was very comfortable. Hosts were very accommodating and communication and clarity of instructions were 10/10 :)

It is a perfect place to relax, after a busy schedule sightseeing in Stoke-on-Trent, and so nice to meet you and your ponies. Thank you for hosting us, I recommend your cottage highly.

Man’s communications were excellent and the stay was exactly what we were looking for. Given the location the price was extremely reasonable for the size of the property. Mak was even kind enough to gift desert which was delicious!

We stayed here for a weekend away as a group of school mates all turning 30. The property was the perfect base for us, providing us with the best possible experience. We’re an active, activity based bunch and this stay had something for everyone. Multiple activities, from the pool table, darts board, table tennis, air hockey, and yes the Pool and Sauna. Many of my friends couldn’t believe just what we had found for this stay. Private use of the pool is a great bonus. All beds were made, fresh linens and towels provided. We used the kitchen to cook our breakfast each morning. There’s ample parking for 3-4 vehicles inside and plenty on street right next to the property, which is a quiet street so not a stress. Whilst the decor is aged, we are not particular on this and found it added to the charm. Plenty of beds, bathrooms and spots to relax. We would stay again! The host was fantastic in communication and response to questions posed and made the whole process easy.

Me and my family had a lovely stay at David’s place for the weekend. A great spot in the heart of Loughborough but still on a quiet road. David was very responsive and helpful.
