Vacation rentals with a fire pit in St. Tammany Parish

Whispering Oaks was not quite as advertised. From the moment we walked in, it was obvious the photos did not fully capture the beauty and spirit of the space. Surrounded by nature, well stocked, comfortably furnished and lovingly decorated, Whispering Oaks was the perfect setting for our girl's weekend getaway. We enjoyed Carrie's thorough yet completely unintrusive communication and quick response times. She was friendly and gracious and simply blew us away when she invited us to return to the property after checking out to search for a lost ear bud. On finding the offending device, she offered a tour of another of her listings that sparked our interest during our stay. Very Highly recommended.

This was our second stay at this location and loved it. We will stay again on all future visits. Jenna is so easy to work with and very quick to respond to any questions or concerns.

Needed a house in this area and it fit our needs perfect. Quiet and nothing fancy but clean with comfy beds and that's the most important thing. Would stay again for sure. TK

Great little house for my husband, 1 year old and I. Very quiet, easy to locate and close enough to Folsom. Our baby enjoyed crawling around in the enclosed porch in the morning while my husband and I had our coffee.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Beautiful cozy house. Felt right at home and the host was so helpful with ideas on what to do in the area. The neighborhood was quiet and the bonfire pit was cozy! Thank you for creating a very welcoming environment. Definitely home away from home. The shower pressure was amazing and better than it is at my actual home!!!

Marvin met us at the cabin to show us everything down to the light switches! When we arrived it was already very dark so this was very helpful. He was onsite as we were driving out of the area to ask how everything was and to help us with the gate. The property was so peaceful!!! There are wild animals in the area that Marvin let us know about when we arrived. So we knew what precautions to take. We didn't use the canooes because it was too cold but we would have! The cabin was well built and very cozy! Super clean bed linen with extra towels. The cabin had everything right down to a first aid kit! And there were plenty of board games, puzzles, and games outside! We told Marvin we will be looking towards booking this cabin in the summer when we can canoe! This was one of our most peaceful stays! A great getaway from the business of Houston. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

This cabin is awesome clean quiet with fast internet. It’s the perfect get away and way nicer than any hotel within 50 miles. It’s by far the nicest fish camp I’ve ever stayed at. Very simple nothing over the top just a nice place to stay. I’ll definitely be staying here again if it doesn’t stay booked up. Host are very friendly as well.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this beautiful cabin! It was warm, homey, had a very comfortable bed and couch. We had plenty of beautiful sights to go see around the cabin within walking distance. Our pup really enjoyed getting to meet Beau and play with him. David was a wonderful host and made sure we were satisfied with our stay and asked if we needed anything at all. I appreciate a host that goes above and beyond with checking on their guests. We will absolutely stay here next time for our next event in this area!

Very private. Walking area with pond. Stars were very visible. If you want homey and quiet, this is the best place. About 30 minutes from town but nice drive. Terry was the best to rent from.

Was very peaceful getaway. Loved every minute here!!

Will was very accommodating considering the area had the biggest snow storm since 1895 happen days before our check in. We were struggling to figure out how to get there with every interstate closed. He allowed us to cancel and not lose money. We will definitely be rebooking to have our weekend getaway as planned minus the snow!

if you like camping, but you want running water a toilet and a shower and a comfortable bed. This is a place for you. You’re still going to be bothered by your regular pest that you would have outside but not nearly as much and there is Internet, but it’s out in the country so I hope you would enjoy the surroundings instead of trying to be online!

Our stay in the Bromeliad cabin was fun and cozy for our young family. The boys loved exploring the woods and creek behind the house and the campfire made for good memories as well. There is plentiful indoor and outdoor space to enjoy. The house is well-stocked which enabled us to make a delicious dinner, and while we stayed during a cold snap, the provided heaters kept us nice and toasty. Communication with the hosts was always quick and easy! We hope to be back in the spring to explore some more. Would recommend to anyone seeking a quiet, peaceful getaway.
