Beachfront vacation rentals in Southern Shores

Ashley was a GREAT host, very responsive and a caring host. Provided high chair requested, allowed an earlier check-in to help accomodate special needs child and was very concern when access lock was having problems and responsive. Problem was pribably our mittle hands tiuching all the numbers. Pool was extremely clean and as described in pictures and notes. Had family of 17, 8 adults and 9 kids ranging in age from newborn to 13. Bedrooms were good size to accomodate and all suites having own bathroom was wonderful for 5 families.

Great location- super close to the beach and good restaurants. Having a garage to store our bikes is key for us. The pool was very clean and we even got to join a water aerobics class with the locals - everyone was very welcoming.

The place was amazing, private, really close to the beach where you could see the horses Inside you had everything you need The only thing is they didn’t have bath wash and shampoo or conditioners Only dish detergent But besides that the place was equipped with all you need

Our stay was perfect. House was so close to the beach, just a short walk. We were centrally located to many activities. Communication was great and the house was very clean and well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

Second year in a row renting the house, which was very clean on arrival. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor shower, pool, hot tub, etc. Beach access is only two houses down and there is a designated walkway for you to cross. Low tide is great for surfing with 2 sand bars. The main road is busy, but doesn't bother you while enjoying the pool or decks. The house has everything you need for cooking, grilling, playing in the pool and going to the beach. There are plenty of beach chairs, beach toys for kids, a cooler, and beach buggy to carry it all to the beach, which is a small upgrade made by the owners. Staying there two years in a row we have noticed the owners care and have done small upgrades, which is appreciated b/c we have rented houses where you can tell upgrades have not been made in years. Kitty Hawk pier is within walking distance. The pictures represent what you will get in the house and are true. Mary and Andy were great with communication and we look to rent the place again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a fantastic rental in the Outer Banks that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beautiful house, which boasts stunning views from its multi-level decks. The proximity to the beach was a major highlight! One of the standout features of this rental was the outdoor amenities. The hot tub provided the perfect spot to unwind under the stars after a long day of exploring. The fire pit was an excellent addition as well, offering a cozy atmosphere for evening gatherings and marshmallow roasting. Inside, the house was equally impressive. The beds were incredibly comfortable, with plush pillows that ensured a restful night's sleep. Having a washer and dryer on-site was a huge convenience, especially for a beach trip, where clothes often need a quick refresh. The combination of its prime location, excellent amenities, and Travis's hospitality makes it a perfect getaway spot. I would definitely return!

We enjoyed our vacation at this home very much. the description was accurate and the house very clean and well organized. We had to reach out to the host a few times and they were extremely responsive in a timely manner. The location of this house is awesome, grocery store and restaurants are just a short drive or walk. We enjoyed the 2nd story hot tub and the beach access was very convenient. The large recreational room on the 1st floor kept the kids entertained!! Overall, we had a fabulous week at this home and it was perfect for our large family.

House and host are great! The house was just like the pictures and great for the family! Great location as well. Would highly recommend this Airbnb and a 10/10!

This listing is exactly what you see and is perfect for one or two people. I loved the decor, it was very quiet, and the walk to the beach is 5 minutes on the nose (I timed it). I had a few questions and the hosts were very friendly with a fast response time. I loved the outdoor shower to rinse all the sand off. I would stay again and highly recommend.

Great dog friendly rental in OBX! Having grass and a small fenced yard for late/early potty breaks was so convenient. Our dog relaxed right away on arrival, immediately getting a drink and dog biscuit from the provided bowls. What a rare treat to find a place so special for our four-legged family members. :-D Everything was very clean and comfortable and cozy. Loved reading in the sunroom. The house was stocked with more than we could possibly imagine needing in terms of food and supplies (so it's a bit cluttered and not a lot of space for your own items, but nothing you cannot work around). As others have said, definitely felt more like HOME than a rental and we truly appreciated that! Thanks for sharing your home and for a lovely getaway!

Randy is a great host. I found the house very clean when I first got there and he had everything anyone would need for a beach vacation. I would definitely be going back next year.

We celebrated my daughter's 15th bday with a girls weekend at the Sand Pyle & had a wonderful time. The house is very nice & exactly as pictured. We stayed in the middle of January, so we were happy to find a whole cabinet full of games. b/c even though we had no plans to go to the beach or anything, it was cold & a little rainy. The house was very clean & the beds were comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes & cookware, even coffee & some seasonings. checking in & out was a breeze too. I would definitely stay here again.

The cottage was just the right size and loved that it was so close to the beach. It was perfect for the quick getaway that we were doing. The towels and linens were great, but could use some better pillows. Whitney was very responsive and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great little cabin...very close to the beach...easy walk, or just a 1 minute drive to Jeanette's Pier. All the restaurants and shopping to the north/All the peace and solitude to the south...Both are great. The house is great. Very comfortable beds and living room furniture. Patio area out front with a grill for the nice nights. We had some ugly weather roll in, so it was nice to sit out on the screened-in porch to stay dry. Would absolutley choose to stay here again on a future trip.

Had a great time , steps from beach, the pool was super nice!!! Was offered hotdogs, cheeseburgers, and watermelon for 4th of July at no additional cost for everyone staying in cottages. AC worked great!!! It was record breaking heat and we where more than comfortable!!!

My family and I had a great vacation at Gordon’s Airbnb rental. The property is not cluttered but at the same time was fully furnished as it had everything that we needed from can opener, crab and oyster eating utensils, eletric griddle for making breakfast, and etc. Its location is top notch. You cross the street from the property and you’re at the beach. You walk 20 yards north of the road and you’re at Black Pelican which is an awesome restaurant (they have the best and finest texture coleslaw and killer seafood menu). We will surely try to catch and reserve this unit again in the summer! Thanks for being great hosts, Gordon and Jan!

Owners were friendly and helpful and generous. Well-equipped kitchen. Extremely convenient location. Very comfortable house with lots of nooks and sitting areas.

Everything was perfect. Traveling alone I felt very safe. The bed was comfortable, shower water pressure was great. Everything was clean and modern. I work remote and wifi was sufficient. One day it kept dropping and Shelley came back to reset it for me. Very convenient location too.

We had a great stay. The fenced in back yard was wonderful with our dogs and was a peaceful place to sip our morning coffee.

our family of 4 stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. everything was perfect! very comfortable beds and pillows. clean bathrooms. towels, sheets and linens were high quality. furnishings are all great. and awesome hot tub. highly recommend!

Matthew and Janet were the best hosts we have ever had! From communication leading up and during the trip to everything we could have needed being available (including having all of the beach essentials so we didn't have to pack). We have an annual trip with another family and we both have a 4 year old and the location cannot be matched for families! The pool was a great addition for the littlee. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. The house was conveniently located to everything. Short walk to the beach and lots of wonderful restaurants nearby. Beverly was wonderful to work with and always responded quickly. We would definitely stay here again. The perfect little cottage for a small group.
