Beachfront vacation rentals in Southern Shores

Ashley was a GREAT host, very responsive and a caring host. Provided high chair requested, allowed an earlier check-in to help accomodate special needs child and was very concern when access lock was having problems and responsive. Problem was pribably our mittle hands tiuching all the numbers. Pool was extremely clean and as described in pictures and notes. Had family of 17, 8 adults and 9 kids ranging in age from newborn to 13. Bedrooms were good size to accomodate and all suites having own bathroom was wonderful for 5 families.

Our stay was fantastic. The house was gorgeous and the view of the waves was so stunning. Very clean and comfy. Had all the cooking things we needed and everything else we could need. Will definitely be coming again!

Our stay was perfect. House was so close to the beach, just a short walk. We were centrally located to many activities. Communication was great and the house was very clean and well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

Second year in a row renting the house, which was very clean on arrival. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor shower, pool, hot tub, etc. Beach access is only two houses down and there is a designated walkway for you to cross. Low tide is great for surfing with 2 sand bars. The main road is busy, but doesn't bother you while enjoying the pool or decks. The house has everything you need for cooking, grilling, playing in the pool and going to the beach. There are plenty of beach chairs, beach toys for kids, a cooler, and beach buggy to carry it all to the beach, which is a small upgrade made by the owners. Staying there two years in a row we have noticed the owners care and have done small upgrades, which is appreciated b/c we have rented houses where you can tell upgrades have not been made in years. Kitty Hawk pier is within walking distance. The pictures represent what you will get in the house and are true. Mary and Andy were great with communication and we look to rent the place again.

I can't say enough about Carrie's place... It was perfect for what we were looking for. There were still some Christmas decor remnants that made it even more cozy and special. The place is beautifully decorated and feels like home. Location was private and in an area that isn't TOO commercial, but still close enough to some great places that are walkable, including fine dining, great breakfast, golf... Oh, and the beach! Going to try to figure out when we can get back in slightly warmer weather... Looking forward to a re-visit!!! Thank you Carrie. 😊

This was the perfect first vacation to take with our baby! We had such an amazing time. The house was fully stocked with essentials, everyone had their our own bathroom, the location and short walk to the beach was so nice! It was such an amazing value, just all around, perfect. We had a very memorable vacation and everyone kept talking about how much they want to come back and how great of a pick the house was ! HIGHLY recommend!!! :)

Fantastic stay! Everything is as advertised and the hosts were very responsive and accommodating. My family and I stayed here over Thanksgiving and were happy to find a well-stocked kitchen, games galore, and TVs in every room - something for everyone. The hot tub is new and in great condition - a fantastic winter treat! Worth noting that the beds were very comfortable and having laundry access was an added bonus. The beach is just steps away and you can hear the ocean from every room in the house with windows open. A quaint cottage nestled into a private neighborhood but still not too far from shops and restaurants. It was everything we wanted and we’d definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at Flip Flop Life! The place was spotless and we felt right at home. There was plenty of space for 4 adults and a baby. We were close to great food, beach access, and we highly recommend checking out the sound park. Cathy was super friendly and helpful. I hope to visit again soon!

Super place to stay. The view was Awesome and the place itself was very clean and inviting. There was nothing they missed . They had thought of everything and our stay was really enjoyable ! The kitchen was very well stocked , for us to cook a great dinner one night to stay away from a storm , and the sunsets were breathtaking. We hope to return.

Great location- super close to the beach and good restaurants. Having a garage to store our bikes is key for us. The pool was very clean and we even got to join a water aerobics class with the locals - everyone was very welcoming.

The place was amazing, private, really close to the beach where you could see the horses Inside you had everything you need The only thing is they didn’t have bath wash and shampoo or conditioners Only dish detergent But besides that the place was equipped with all you need

Daniel did a great job communicating with us. The house was clean and as advertised. He gave us a nice complimentary gift of wine glasses and a free dozen bagels at a local bakery during our stay. He was great to work with and really enjoy the stay and overall experience. Really appreciate all the hard work and extra touches that Daniel put into making our stay so nice.

Great spacious house, responsive hosts that seemed eager to fix issues.

We’d planned a Valentine’s couple’s retreat for 3 nights there. Everything went according to plan and was lovely! The large common area provided lots of large group space for us. The bar area was appreciated as was the well stocked kitchen. The bedrooms were nice, some with more amenities than others. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Atlantic Diamond…the beautiful view of the beach was TOPS!

The perfect home just a few steps from the beach. Our family of 7 with 2 toddlers had a wonderful time. The amenities were perfect and the overall layout of the house was just what we needed to feel comfortable and at home for our 6 night stay. The furnishings and touches of the space are extremely thoughtful (live plants and decorations) and little kid specific things like a toddler seat, pack and play, and baby gate were a necessity during our stay. The property itself is the perfect base for any and all adventures we set out to do during the day but honestly the best part was how close to the beach it was and all the sand toys that were available for our kids to play with and enjoy. Travis was an extremely responsive host whenever something came up and took care of anything we needed. We really appreciated his open communication. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Outer Banks area, especially if you have a larger group.

I will definitely stay here again! The host was extremely helpful and responsive when I had difficulty locating the place. Take the time to read the directions given in the booking - Google maps had me do something different. I loved the location and the clean home. It was nice having an inside that was comfortable and without the tacky beach decor. I loved the location’s proximity to shops, parks, the beach, and restaurants!

We stayed here for a girls weekend away and couldn’t have chosen a better house. Having such proximity to the beach (even seeing the water from certain rooms of the house!) was so wonderful. We were also within walking distance of a coffee shop and it was only a short drive to stores. The house itself was spacious and we loved having an equal number of rooms and bathrooms. The hosts gave great info on the home and the check-out process was so easy which is always a huge pro for a rental. We would definitely recommend to anyone!

This listing is exactly what you see and is perfect for one or two people. I loved the decor, it was very quiet, and the walk to the beach is 5 minutes on the nose (I timed it). I had a few questions and the hosts were very friendly with a fast response time. I loved the outdoor shower to rinse all the sand off. I would stay again and highly recommend.

Great dog friendly rental in OBX! Having grass and a small fenced yard for late/early potty breaks was so convenient. Our dog relaxed right away on arrival, immediately getting a drink and dog biscuit from the provided bowls. What a rare treat to find a place so special for our four-legged family members. :-D Everything was very clean and comfortable and cozy. Loved reading in the sunroom. The house was stocked with more than we could possibly imagine needing in terms of food and supplies (so it's a bit cluttered and not a lot of space for your own items, but nothing you cannot work around). As others have said, definitely felt more like HOME than a rental and we truly appreciated that! Thanks for sharing your home and for a lovely getaway!

The cottage was just the right size and loved that it was so close to the beach. It was perfect for the quick getaway that we were doing. The towels and linens were great, but could use some better pillows. Whitney was very responsive and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

what a beautiful place. the 4 cottages are perfect for a large family gathering while still allowing independence. they cottages are newly renovated and the outdoor showers are must. they have fenced area for your job to play and that is priceless in this day and age. the close proximity to EVERYTHING is amazing and makes for quick trips out. the host were extremely professional and responded quickly. I cannot wait to stay here again.

Had a great time , steps from beach, the pool was super nice!!! Was offered hotdogs, cheeseburgers, and watermelon for 4th of July at no additional cost for everyone staying in cottages. AC worked great!!! It was record breaking heat and we where more than comfortable!!!

We were in town for a duck hunting trip and the house was perfect for us. The location was good and Joseph was very responsive to my questions.
