Valentina is always willing to help, her personal as well, delicious breakfasts, a great place. We felt right at home. I highly recommend this place to stay, a cottage off the beaten path, so peace and quiet around.

Renuka is such a gracious host. We stayed in a family room on our first night when we landed in Colombo. She gave us a great recommendation for a dinner spot. Our room initially had only 3 sleeping spots (we were 2 adults and 2 small kids) but she gave us a second room when we requested an extra bed. She also made us a lovely breakfast the next day with some delicious butterfly pea tea she had made. She even gave me some seeds to sow at home. A great first stay to kick off our Sri Lankan adventures!

Jagath is one of a kind. He was such a welcoming host and always had a good balance between being helpful and supportive without intruding your own space and plans. If you are interested he can explain a many things about this part of Sri Lanka. He has huge knowledge about history, traditions, food, plants and also current issues. Also the whole estate reflects his interests with a beautiful garden, historic artefacts and an excellent cuisine, we are still missing. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Madu’s place was fantastic—peaceful, quiet, and perfect for a relaxing stay. The house is fully private, with its own kitchen and bathroom, offering great comfort and independence. The host, Madu, is incredibly communicative and helpful. Whether you have questions or need assistance, he’s always reachable, either in person or via phone. One thing to keep in mind: if you want to be close to the city center, it’s about a 20–30 minute walk, as the house is situated near the second river up north. However, this also means you get to enjoy a quiet, secluded space with almost no neighbours. (bonus: you get to see some fireflies at night) If you have a scooter, getting around won’t be an issue at all!

Recently stayed at this homestay in Panchgani and had an unforgettable experience. The hosts, Atul and Mandakini, are absolutely wonderful engaging, warm, and full of interesting conversations. The property itself is a gem, featuring a forest-like garden with over 300 varieties of plants and trees, serene fish ponds, and captivating art installations and sculptures. The breakfast was delicious, and every detail of the stay reflected care and creativity. It’s truly a haven for nature and art lovers alike. Highly recommended!

From the second you set foot on his property, he makes you feel like you are a member of their family. He does not only show concern towards his guests but rather he leaves no stone unturned in trying to fulfill the guests' needs. This level of attention is indeed something that is difficult to find elsewhere. His property is secluded from all the noise maintaining a calm environment because it is surrounded by trees. If you're overwhelmed by city life and want to take a break and start fresh, then look no further. Regardless of where you place him, Ganesh would always make you feel welcome. He and his family would treat you with hospitality that can only be described as genuine. Speaking of food, the home cooked meals served are delightful. They are really nice - both to look at and to eat. So they add a nice touch to the stay. Staying over at Ganesh’s is not just about being a visitor for a couple of days but a wholesome experience. Staying at Bishnu Homestay in Pokhara was a wonderful experience! Here’s why: 1. Safety: The homestay is in a very safe and peaceful location. We always felt secure, and the host, Bishnu, goes above and beyond to ensure guests are comfortable and well taken care of. 2. WiFi: The internet connection is strong and reliable, which was a pleasant surprise. Whether you need to work or just stay connected with loved ones, you won’t have any issues. 3. Pool Table: One unique feature that stands out is the free pool table! It’s a great way to unwind and spend some fun, relaxing time with fellow travelers. 4. Food: The meals served here are amazing, thanks to Bishnu’s wife, Laxmi. From delicious traditional Nepali dishes to satisfying breakfasts, the food is fresh, homemade, and absolutely delightful. Overall, Bishnu Homestay combines genuine hospitality, excellent amenities, and a warm atmosphere to create a truly memorable stay. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Pokhara.

Lovely place, very well maintained and comfortable. We spent a very enjoyable weekend. The host was very responsive and the caretaker Tulsi did was super friendly and an excellent cook! The place looks better than the pictures, very spacious and clean. Definitely recommend!

We had a lovely time at Lova and Lee's ....very relaxed place set in quiet, beautifull surroundings. The pool was a luxury and you can get an intro to diving with Lee, the co host too. Breakfast was so nicely presented and tasty. We loved our stay. I would book again without hesitation !

We had a lovely week staying at Mingomango. The location is off on a side street away from the main road with a lovely chill out area facing the river. The beach is a short walk away and you’ll be at the main part of the beach break in 20 mins. The place was as advertised, clean and with all the amenities needed. The hosts are very nice, responsive and have a lot of helpful tips for the area.

We were in Lucknow for a friend's wedding. This was our first time in India. Ms. Meenakshi, Mr. Tiwari and their household truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The garden breakfasts were such a wonderful (and delicious) surprise. Everyone was regularly making sure we had everything we needed. The hosts were very generous with their home. We felt very safe and rested very well.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay here, Champ is a super responsive host and genuinely couldn’t have been more helpful. The breakfast provided by his friendly parents was absolutely fantastic. Champ arranged a driver to take us to and from the airport as well which made it easy to find. The bed was very big and comfy. It wasn’t quite hot enough to take advantage of the pool but it’s exactly like the pictures, large enough for a short swim and great to dip in and cool off. It is a short (15 mins) walk to the lake where you can then access the city. We would recommend using Uber to book tuk tuk, hassle free as the price is already arranged in the app. Definitely visit Mandiya for lunch if you want the best local food at local prices. There’s a supermarket opposite for any essentials you need. Overall we enjoyed a fantastic stay just outside of the main hustle and bustle but close enough to reach everything in short time. If you’re staying in Kandy, this is a great place.

The accommodation was as described. The view from the terrace is beautiful! This one is shared but it was not an inconvenience. The staff is adorable, always at your disposal and the breakfast served is delicious and hearty. We recommend this listing without hesitation:)

This is by far one of the most memorable and beautiful stays I have had with Airbnb and I have had a few, the thing that differenciates this place is its people, they are so helpful and they make sure you have a comfortable stay they attend to all the queries and go out of the way to help you. The food specially the breakfast spread is superb not to be missed. Lastly the property is well maintained and in the heart of French town being a 200 year old French Villa it has a charm and my partner and me thoroughly enjoyed our stay a big shoutout to the management for allowing us to experience the property and the hospitality.

Had one of the best experiences at Sunrise palace, we missed our flight and needed a quick booking for a place to stay, I bumped into Sunrise Palace and instantly was booked in. I got to the air bnb it's in the inside street but once the gate opens it looks beautiful, the place is big, sleeps alot of people, extremely clean, balcony in the rooms, extremely clean washrooms, impeccable stay I had the service was phenomenal, the food was fresh and tasty, we all had the omelet and wow it tasted so healthy and gave us fruits and fresh juice, as well as water bottles. This place is just amazing and I will be back in March thank you so much !

Had a wonderful weekend at Neetus place along with wife and kids . Surely something to cherish upon backwaters of Alappy . Apparently neetu is out of the country on her behalf joseph did a great job assisting us through out the staycation . Will do a re visit later . Highly recommend

I had an amazing stay at birdsong. I was there for a few days and honestly I didn’t feel like leaving the property. From the minute you walk in, you are taken care of like you would be in your own home. The staff was sweet and hospitable, making the stay very personal. The room was spacious and super comfortable. The swimming pool and its surrounding areas were perfect to spend the whole day. Lots of options of great food, to be eaten in a community/family setup which made the experience that much nicer. Tiya and her family have curated this beautiful home , which fulfils both the aesthetic and practical needs that one might have. I feel it’s important to get both right, and rarely does that happen. The art, the lighting, the furniture, all came together seamlessly…as did the trees, the birds and the 3 lovely dogs. Thank you for everything ! Hope to be back soon.

Beautiful spot and very relaxing. Almost like a private beach compared to the overcrowded tourist trap of Hikkaduwa. There is a pool and beach access from the garden. Lovely deck area facing the ocean. The hosts live on site but are very helpful and welcoming yet respectful of privacy. The downside was we didn’t realize it was a shared bathroom but it wasn’t a problem as we were the only ones there and it has hot water. I would come again and it is a great place to chill if you want some down time.

We had a wonderful time at this place which is just outside the center while here you can relax in absolute tranquility. The rooms are well equipped, with a very comfortable bed that ensures a good night's sleep. We were particularly impressed by the pool – refreshing and perfect for relaxing, with beautiful loungers in an idyllic setting. The whole team was exceptionally friendly and thoughtful. An absolute highlight was the food: the small menu offers excellent dishes in the evening, and after four weeks in Sri Lanka we can say that the Rice & Curry here was one of the best. Breakfast was also a pleasure – rich and tailored to our needs individually. Sitting under the tree in the morning in the garden, starting the day in peace and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere was just perfect. If you are looking for a first-class accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of the heat, this is the place. Absolutely recommended

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The place is a true reflection of Indian culture and heritage, with beautiful sculptures, traditional paintings, and an authentic design that instantly made us feel at home. Every meal felt like a comforting embrace of local flavors. A special mention to Akka, who took such great care of us with her warmth and hospitality. She made sure we were comfortable at all times, and her kindness truly touched our hearts. Indra, was always available at a moment’s notice, ensuring our stay was seamless and peaceful. I was only here for two nights but everything was great. The view was very nice and the bed was really soft. It was a very pleasant stay.

Tamarind retreat was an absolute delight , tucked away in quiet corner of Kihim, this place is equipped with everything you would require for a quiet weekend getaway at an amazingly affordable rate. Both Manjusha and her husband were gracious hosts and made us feel at home. The whole property was very clean and nicely maintained. They have two swimming pools as well, which is quite a perk for private gatherings. Their kitchen provides yummy home cooked meals, my only qualm was they don't allow any outside food into the property or the rooms. Regardless, the stay was splendid. The property also houses their cutest pets who are difficult not to fall in love with. Will definitely plan to come back here again.
