Beachfront vacation rentals in Snelling Beach

This is an old cottage (like stepping back in time) and just as described by the photos and descriptions. It is a low key place to stay with an easy walk to a lovely beach. A good place to unwind and disconnect from the real world.

We loved our stay at Sam’s place. Island Beach is absolutely stunning, so peaceful and quiet and private, but close enough to Penneshaw and activities to keep us amused. Authenticity Beachhouse was so well situated, with great sea views, and had heaps of space and amenities perfect for our family of four…with an extra room to spare. Sam has thought of everything, and we loved all of the little extras he provided that helped make our holiday more fun - boogie boards, snorkel equipment, beach chairs and tent, lots of outdoor and indoor seating, plus the Hamptons style decor was so lovely. Thanks for a really lovely stay Sam. Our kids have already asked when we are coming back to visit again!

A lovely stay in a homely and comfortable accommodation. The fresh bread and condiments was a lovely touch. Even met a courageous echidna. A terrific place to base yourselves for island exploration. Thank you Christine!

We stayed at Sabine's Place over Christmas with my elderly Dad. The place was perfect for a relaxed summer break with lots of indoor and outdoor spaces for relaxing and eating. The house is an old bungalow all on one level so perfect for an elderly person. It was spotlessly clean and well located with a great walk into Kingscote.

Great location and charming interior. Plenty of space with everything you need. Emu bay is a beautiful area and has a lovely little cafe and playground at the beach. It’s a great place for families. We enjoyed several koalas in front, as well as echinea and kangaroos around the house. We also appreciated the local welcome goodies. The very nice neighbour next door even let us taste his yummy homegrown tomatoes. It was such a lovely stay and we would book this property again.

My husand and i stayed here for 6 days and ended up eloping at the accommodation site! It is truly beautiful and there are plently of fish to catch at the beach. Our location host tony was truly amazing and went above and beyond to make the trip unforgettable! We plan to make this our anniverasy spot! 10/10 the place is perfect for two looking to imerse themseves in the island with almost panoramic views from the bed and an almost private beach, this is your spot!

Plenty of space in this house - large bedrooms and tv in main room. Missed not having electric blankets or a dishwasher but the house stay warm enough with the heater in the ceiling of the main room. Interesting how both the main bathroom and ensuite were at the same end of the house. A secure backyard if we had taken our dogs with us. No beach view but lovely to see/hear a variety of birds.

Beautiful place, looks better in reality than the pictures. Has anything you need for a wonderful stay in Kangaroo Island. The kitchen is well equipped, the house was very clean. The owner responded immediately to any questions we had.

My family and I had an incredible stay at Kate's property on Kangaroo Island. The incredible surroundings on the lagoon, with free room to roam with the kangaroos, combined with the luxury and comfort of the property made for a perfect vacation. We can't wait to return.

Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quieter place to stay at KI. Great for walking the dog along the beach.

LOVED our stay at Jo’s place. It has such a beautiful view over the Penneshaw coastline, and we saw dolphins playing out the front of the house every day. The decor is beautiful, and the house is very well equipped. Thanks Jo!

The absolutely perfect hideaway, exactly as Hugh, the owner, describes. The house is beautifully presented with everything top quality, but also a lot of personal touches, such as ornaments and books. A great bonus was the sheer number of bird species visiting the water dishes - we identified 21 with the help of an excellent guide book which goes with the house. Good shops and decent pub/restaurant in nearby Penneshaw.

Beautiful long weekend away at Sol Hus. It was so peaceful sitting on the deck with a local KI gin enjoying uninterrupted ocean views. The home had everything we needed, enough kitchenware to make simple meals & a coffee machine. The loft was a little cramped but I found it fun getting up & down the ladder - also ocean views to wake up to. Getting down to the beach was easy & it was lovely walking along the beach plus swimming was really nice here. The focus on environment and sustainability was one of the reasons that we chose this accom. Loved the polaroid camera too. The location was very private but still only 15-45 minutes drive to explore most highlights of the north part of the island. We loved it!

Our family of six adults and two children had a wonderful week in Copperstone in early December 2024. The house is modern, clean and comfortable and has air conditioning, which is needed, especially in the warmer months. The kitchen is well appointed, and the beds are comfortable. We were privileged to experience Kangaroos in the front garden and Koalas in the back garden. As there are no places to purchase provisions in Emu Bay, we would have appreciated a welcome package/gift to include the basic necessities including bread, cereal etc. The nearest supermarket is Drakes in Kingscote, where you can purchase general groceries, meat, poultry, fruit and vegetables. There is a well-stocked bottle-shop in the next street. These facilities are approximately 15 minutes by car (4 wheel recommended) from the house. I recommend this property which overlooks beautiful Emu Bay and is well located. We left feeling that we all had a unique experience and were rejuvenated.
