This was such a lovely stay! Rein was there upon arrival and really welcoming, friendly, and hospitable! I couldn’t recommend staying at this place more. I felt very cared for during this stay with everything provided and it’s such a great spot just to relax and chill out amongst the orange trees, birds and nature! If you’re looking for a place to be at ease, this place is perfect!

Chittering Heights - A Luxurious Romantic Retreat

Rating, 5 stars1 month ago
This is a wooden house located on the hilltop of a private farm. It's extremely peaceful, with only kangaroos in the woods for company. There's no light pollution in the vicinity, allowing you to admire the beautiful Milky Way and starry sky. In the early morning, you can lie in the bed on the second floor and watch the magnificent morning glow and sunrise. It's a truly unique and wild experience. Although it can get quite hot in summer without air - conditioning, the romantic owner has prepared a surf pool, where you can enjoy the coolness alone in the forest. There are also entertainments like billiards. It's really wonderful.

We had a lovely break away at Claire & John's farm stay. Our kids enjoyed feeding the animals and we appreciated the peaceful location. The home was spotless and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Thank you for being wonderful hosts :)

Dylan the tiny cabin in Chittering

Nice little cabin out the back of Nesci Estate. Cellar door is well worth a visit, particularly if you’re lucky with the timing and they have some live music and a food truck there. Their opening hours aren’t always exactly as expected though so don’t necessarily rely on the cellar door being open (I.e. bring a bottle of wine just in case). Access to the cabin is a couple kms down a gravel road through a working farm. The road can be a little rough - you won’t need a 4x4 but i’d recommend some ground clearance on your vehicle. Also keep in mind that it’s a working farm with cattle and there are a couple of gates that may need to be opened (and closed) on the way out. The cabin itself is quite nice, and feels secluded. It does get quite warm through the day but if you drop the blinds down the AC cools the small space down fast. Cooking facilities inside and outside (bbq) were quite workable, though the bbq needed a clean. Don’t forget to bring food, there aren’t many cafes nearby.
