Family-friendly vacation rentals in Shawlands

We had a wonderful stay at Linch Tree Lodge. The place was idyllic and had everything you need. We enjoyed the outdoor tub and the animals on site as well as the beautiful scenic walks!

Beautiful stay. Hosts were lovely and accommodating. The lodge was easy to find as per instructions and we were blown away by how clean it was, spotless! Very useful amenities provided too and a helpful book on everything they had, places we could go etc. We had lovely views and the hot tub was great. Close drivable distance to Loch Lomond too with lovely walk with our dog. I couldn’t fault it.

A perfect stay. We spent the weekend here and it was everything and more from the listing. The cabin was beautiful and cosy and was just what was needed for a quiet few days away. The hot tub was a dream especially in the cold weather and snow. Lynda was a great host. I would recommend this to friends and family; we would look at coming back in the future.

Had a great, relaxing four days. House was easy to find and had everything you would want and more. From fresh fruit and flowers to milk in the fridge. House was lovely and warm on arrival too which was great on a cold wet day. Kitchen was so well stocked. Large casserole dishes to slow cookers all in there. No shortage of glasses or utensils which at times can happen at rentals. Plenty of clean fresh towels in every bedroom and bathroom. We had our dog with us and he wasn’t missed either with a nice pack of treats. Well kept garden and a big open space for the kids to run around in also. Only small thing was you had to drive out for walks as the house is not on a route and has no pavements to walk out on. Strathaven itself has enough to keep you busy and has some nice little cafes and bakers! Just a great place to get away to. Yvonne was brilliant and so responsive. Kindly dropped Halloween baskets off for the kids too. Loved it! Neil

This is an amazing city centre flat - such a perfect location. Walkable to high st station, George square, merchant city restaurants, st Enoch centre… and includes parking if you need it (which I did)! VERY secure - literally seven or eight different keys and codes for doors, garage, parking, etc! Parking was a little challenging to figure out at first (of course I arrived in the pitch black and pouring rain on my own which made it more challenging) but the pictures and descriptions were spot on and I got there in the end.

Tom and Cathy were amazing with me for my two nights stay at his property over New Year Couldn’t fault it - the place has actually been re-decorated since the pictures and is done so to a lovely standard. Such a home away from home and a great base to explore local attractions. Will definitely look to stay again for. Thank you so much for having me.

Pauline has created a beautiful little place, very peaceful and relaxing. Was perfect for my short trip as a birthday surprise for my partner. The host went above and beyond to make it special by putting up birthday banners and leaving a birthday cake on arrival for us.

We had a lovely stay at Tin Lid Cottage due to some damage at our own place. Catherine made everything so easy for us, the flat itself is lovely, very comfortable and homely. Banton isn’t too far from our own place but we felt like we were on holiday. 10/10 would stay again x

An extremely spacious main door apartment in a great location. Well appointed kitchen, very comfortable beds, good bathrooms and comfortable lounge and snug. A bonus was a Christmas tree and some decorations 🎄 Walkable to shops, cafe, restaurant and train station is a few minutes away, just one stop to Glasgow Central station. Lesley, the host, was easy to communicate with and very responsive to any questions during our stay. Highly recommend this property.

I had a very comfortable stay with my dog Bud and Liz was very helpful checking us in. The room had everything we needed and there was a park nearby which was great for dog owners.

This property has the three ‘C’s’ - clean, comfortable and convenient. The property was just what we were looking for and the hosts were great, we would come back again.

The most perfect location for a hen party! Chris was the most amazing host with all his information to ensure the stay was as perfect as it could have been! Chris was always on hand if anything was required and always ready to answer questions along with giving recommendations! Location was perfect in a very quiet neighbourhood with a 5 minute walk to the train station to get straight into the centre of Glasgow in no time! Would highly recommend staying here to anyone!

This was our second year and we love it even more. Amazing location with 5 star facilities.

We had a brilliant time at Loudon Mains. David and Eileen were so helpful and even gave us some teabags and milk on New Year’s Day to save us driving to the shop. The lodge was beautiful and the hot tub was great. There was all the amenities you could ask for - from clean towels to gin goblets. We’d love to come back next year 🫶⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
