Gorgeous spot Peaceful location and lovely view! Definitely recommend a torch for the evenings as location is on a slope but all part of its idyllic location and special beauty spot! Would definitely return again.

We have just returned from a lovely week at Stuart's cottage. It was the perfect spot for our week away with friends and family. The cottage is very welcoming and beautifully decorated. It was also lovely to use the woodburners for those extra cosy evenings. The cottage was lovely and clean and it felt like home away from home. lots of pretty walks straight from the door as well as a bakery, pubs and a couple of fish and chips shops down in the village...and a co-op! All in all a great week away and we fully recommend.

We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this listing. Pamela was a very attentive host, making a birthday getaway very special and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the stay. The place is in a great location for getting around Bakewell by foot and was very fairly priced.

The property was really lovely and in a great position just outside Bakewell. Parking was a bonus and it was really easy to find. The host didn’t have anyone booked in after us so kindly enabled us to check out at mid day which was much nicer.

This is a perfect place for a group get together. In the heart of Bakewell but also still feels private. Really good kitchen so you can cook breakfast in. The lounge and dining area was perfect size for 10 of us to sit around and have a wholesome night. Pizza place underneath the Airbnb was amazing and the pubs in Bakewell are good traditional pubs

We had a lovely stay at Ruth's cottage, we felt really welcome and at home. Ruth had lots of information about local walks, pubs, restaurants etc and was really responsive to messages. We stayed over Christmas and Ruth had decorated the cottage with Christmas decorations which was a really lovely added touch. We had a fantastic break and would definitely stay again.

This was a great find! Thank you Jemma for a lovely weekend stay - it was so cosy to come back to and plenty of space for five people. The lovely welcome basket and free breakfasts were especially appreciated! We will definitely stay again if in the Bakewell area.

Myself and my partner had a lovely stay! Super quiet and peaceful, with a lovely local pub just around the corner and a short drive from bakewell. We will definitely be back in the summer, would recommend staying here if you need a little break. Thank you so much!

Perfect for our girls weekend. Everything we needed, and more. Very responsive host and helpful with our questions. So close to Chesterfield, Matlock and Bakewell for a lovely day out. Only down fall was no paths near by for walks, but still managed to get out for a run this morning and it was fine. Loved every minute, thank you.

An excellent base for exploring the Peak District. Although our time was short we got to visit different towns and enjoy Baslow as well. The cottage itself was great for us as a couple but would also work well for 2 couples as each bedroom has it's own bathroom on separate floors. Lot's of extra little touches was included in the property including a welcome basket with bread, butter, biscuits, wine and milk, all tea and coffee making facilities and enough wood for the burner for your first night although the central heating kept the place toasty on it's own too. Their are plenty of pubs and restaurants in walking distance with one just over the road which was excellent quality. We will definitely look if this cottage is available when looking to return to the area and would recommend to friends and family if they are going without hesitation.

Stayed here at the weekend with 2 friends. The cottage is lovely and clean and cosy. Everything you need home from home. There were eggs and milk and bread etc in the fridge and enough wood for the wood burner…very cosy . Ideally situated for exploring the Peak District and Chatsworth . Would definitely recommend !

Rosie's place in Youlgreave was beautuiful. The views from the back of the cottage were stunning. So many interesting walks all close and some starting within a short distance of the cottage. From the back of the Cottage everything slopes right down to the River Bradford. Lovely walks along there so close! Nice Pubs in the Village and within easy reach of Bakewell & Chatsworth House & Estate. Rosie's Cottage was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed. Lovely & warm. Would not hesitate to recommend this little gem to anybody! The only small problem we had was parking in the Village but there is a parking area at the top of the Village which we found later.
