Apartment vacation rentals in Serra de São Mamede

An ideally located apartment in Badajoz, surrounded by great bars and restaurants. The flat was clean and as shown in the photos. We enjoyed the small terrace for evening drinks. Teresa was very communicative and helpful. We enjoyed her recommendation to visit Plaza de Cervantes which is a lovely plaza to enjoy.

Great stay in the old town part of the city. One of the main plazas is a few minute walk away, various restaurants in that immediate area. Unit is new and has everything you need for a short or long stay. Bed was comfortable and couch was great to lounge on. There was also a portable heater in case you got cold at night. Yolanda was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

This location is perfect if you want to drive and spend a few days exploring the Alentejo. Multiple towns are nearby. Evora is a great all day trip, including the megaliths outside of town, and you get to leave all the guided groups behind. Elvas is a wonderful town very near the border with Spain. Villa Real is a gem. Arraiolos is known for weaving rugs. Evoramonte is close by and has terrific views. All of these towns are hilltop towns with castles. The regional wine is terrific, the cork industry is fascinating, the olives, oranges, and lemons, are great, and you are in the middle of the area of marble quarrying. The towns are predominantly full of white buildings with mustard or blue trim and lot and lots of marble. Fica’s place is comfortable, quiet, and has restaurants, bakeries, drugstores, and small shops just steps away.

Very good location in pedestrian area. In the photos the apartment seems bigger but the space is very well organized. Comfortable mattress. On the ground floor there are washing machines and a dryer. Self check-in and check-out are very comfortable.

James was a lovely host and a pleasure to get to know! We stayed here for a wedding in the area & were consistently impressed by how he went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. The surrounding area is certainly beautiful - definitely stay if you have the chance. Loved getting to chat with the host throughout our time, and he always provided recommendations or answers to our questions. Huge plus that there are two lovely dogs on the property who love to greet guests. Thank you for everything!

Very nice space, in the center of Portalegre had everything around, we will undoubtedly return.

Great stay inside castle walls! Luis was great host. We met him in town, parked our car and he drove us up the narrow streets to the apartment. It’s about a 10 minute walk down to square. Town is lovely and friendly. Highly recommend!

Excellent locale for family vacation/weekend, quiet quiet ideal to escape the madness of the city. Local with plenty to see, where you can stroll on foot and full of places with history. A thank you to Eduardo for the excellent way he conveyed the information to us and received us.
