Vacation rentals in Sekigahara, Fuwa District

Very nice host. We really loved the apartment. But we'd recommend to add some isolation at the entrance door, because the entrance was very cold during our stay. Also we'd recommend to add some curtain at the entrance door and balcony because everyone was able to watch inside. Thank you miki that we could stay at your appartement and we're looking forward to come back again.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Junko and Philip were amazing hosts and made us feel right at home. It was a great place to adjust to the time difference after such a long journey and the beds are some of the coziest I’ve ever seen! There are beautiful walks very close by, Philip suggested biking routes and walks which was very helpful and Junko was so lovely and helpful messaging us the easiest way to get there from Tokyo! Nara is a 10 minute train ride away so we did a couple of day trips there. The supermarket is in walking distance and has a huge variety of vegetables and food. Thank you so much for being so accommodating and lovely! :)

The home was clean a good size for our party of 6. The washing machine/dryer was convenient. It was a great location, close to bus and trains. The river around the corner is a nice place to go for a run. Only thing is that there were not a lot of places to eat close by that could accommodate our group of 6. We would stay again!

Beautiful home and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay in Kyoto. Great walkable location to train, Gion area and restaurants. The best AirBnB we have experienced!

Akarisou’s place was spacious enough to accommodate my family of six, including my parents and two kids. The kitchen is well stocked to cook. I liked the dishwasher a lot. The first floor room was traditionally made with Japanese house style, which my parents enjoyed. The rooms in the second floor were pretty spacious, and the mattresses were comfortable! The bathroom is also spacious with a large tub and clean shower facilities. The location was safe and close to an awesome grocery store and pharmacy (drug store). The owner is very communicative! I’d recommend this place for a family with kids!

This is a lovely traditional home in a small, quiet town, attractive to stroll around and admire. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-stocked for a night or two with friends and/or family. It suited our group of five adults and two 12-year-olds extremely well. The fact that it has so many bedrooms is a significant advantage for groups that don't all want to share the same sleeping space, as is often the case at Japanese Airbnbs. The friendly hosts were waiting for us at check-in and gave us an extremely detailed tour and explanation of the property. There are not many services within walking distance, so we were glad we rented a car. We cooked dinner and breakfast, and found many useful condiments and spices in the kitchen. Really, the only disadvantage of this home is that it is rather expensive, but the experience of staying there is unique, making it worth the cost. Airbnb prices in general seem to be rising, so it is not dissimilar to others like it.

The bathroom downstairs was amazing. It was super clean—linens, fluffy towels, Dyson hair dryer. The only difficulty I had was figuring out the washing machine since it was all in Japanese. I tried using Google translate and I couldn’t toggle the washing setting to my liking. But, that’s really an issue with not being able to speak or read the language. It was conveniently located which easy access to Ubers and taxis. We went everywhere from the Golden Temple to the Bamboo forest and even made a day trip out to Osaka. It sucks to transport luggage to the Airbnb because they can’t just leave it up front. I tried getting them to let me pick it up from the train station but that wasn’t possible. However, the transport person stayed until we got there which was so nice. The host was amazing as well. One of the kids left her stamp book from the temple behind and she contacted us about it. She was so nice to send it to our next destination and messaged us with the confirmation.

The location of the apartment is very convenient, Bus stop is less than a minute walk !! Toji temple (the must see site) is just 7 min walk. It takes 20 minutes for a bus to reach Kyoto Station. Kitchen is well equipped. Japanese style beds on floor where 4 can sleep very comfortably. Owner is very proactive and responsive. I recommend it for your short stay at Kyoto.

Shi's place was exactly what we were looking for—a true Japanese home stay experience! We weren’t after a modern hotel, but rather the feeling of living in an authentic Japanese house, and Shi’s home delivered just that. At the same time, the house had all the modern comforts: a Dyson, separate bathrooms, automated toilets, a beautiful garden, high-quality linens, great bathroom amenities—even bathrobes. The place was actually even better than the photos! We were a family of six and slept on futons, which were very comfortable—it honestly felt like a brand-new house. We absolutely loved our stay here and only wish we could have stayed longer. So glad we chose Shi’s home for our trip!
