Really enjoyed our stay. Petra and Dick were v friendly and welcoming. Main bedroom was lovely. 2nd bedroom was tiny but single bed was v comfortable. V quiet road. This is definitely a lived in family home with lots of books, plants and ornaments. If you prefer a more like hotel experience, then look elsewhere, but we enjoyed our two night stay. Breakfast was simple (cereals, yogurt, toast, fruit etc with coffee, wide range of teas) but delicious. Was lovely to chat with our hosts about our plans each morning . Parking in central Bath is a nightmare so was lovely to leave our car parked in the street and use the bus (bus stop just across the road) to visit the town centre.

My partner and I stayed at Olivia's to attend a PhotoFrome event. Her home is beautiful, welcoming and peaceful and in a perfect location in central Frome. Our room overlooking the private garden was lovely and comfortable. Olivia was a very obliging host and it was very easy to make arrangements with her before we arrived. She made us feel very welcome and at ease. Her dog Teddy is a sweetie and very happy around people. Thank you Olivia! We would definitely recommend Olivia's home and book her place again!

We really loved staying here - our getaways with a toddler + 2 dogs can be stressful, but this was such a great place to stay that it removed all stress. The location was peaceful and quiet, the village itself was small and walkable for the local pub and playground for our daughter. It was easy to drive to local tourist spots and all the roads were fine. The accommodation itself was comfortable and clean and had all we needed. Can’t thank our hosts enough for such a pleasant stay.

Jessica and Paul are marvelous! Quite friendly and attentive. We had good conversations and the always had left prepared our breakfast before we got down to it. The location and the city’s scape view from the bedroom is breathtaking. We strictly recommend them.

Such a wonderful find! We loved that we had our own wing of the house. Huge ultra comfortable bed with soft linen in a warm, cosy, beautifully lit and decorated bedroom. The bathroom had the same attention, with large shower and big soft towels. We had use of a living room with an enormous soft sofa. In the morning Sophie made us the most delicious muesli, that I keep thinking of since eating!, with warm croissants and extra fruits. We both felt thoroughly spoilt. There was such an amazing attention to detail, she had thought of everything we may need. We just need to find another excuse to stay there!! Thank you so much Sophie & Paddy for a truly wonderful stay!

It's difficult to 'say a few words' in the space allotted because from the welcome to the assistance with our departure, everything was perfection. I have owned a historic inn, am a participant in the Air B&B in the US and a world traveler and can say with confidence that our stay at The Cider Barn was the best Air B&B experience we've ever had. Louise is the consummate hostess and excels at gracious hospitality. She is a concierge who is not only knowledgeable but makes the experience happen. She generously provided transportation to and from a wedding reception for us as we found the small lane driving at night quite intimidating as Americans. Even finding the 'hidden gem' was a challenge for us but well worth it and we boosted our learning curve as time went on, all too quickly. The property is exquisite; it easily qualifies for submission in Architectural Digest. We are deeply grateful to Louise, our hostess, and any guest is fortunate to stay here.

David and Paul are clearly experienced hosts. Very nice, open (and funny) and super helpful. We warmly recommend this airbnb. If we ever do anything in the neighborhood, we'd love to come and enjoy the delicious breakfast again!

Fantastic place to stay! Close to bath and Bradford on Avon both very beautiful places. Helen gave a very warm welcome and was a great host throughout our 2 night stay. Accommodation was lovely, clean tidy plus very quiet and tranquil. Can walk to the local pub across the field (definitely worth a visit) and walk or cycle in to Bradford on Avon in no time at all. My partner and I cycled along the canal to bath in a few hours stopping along the way. Stopped in the town centre and got the train back with bikes. Breakfast was lovely and Helen was very accommodating for a food allergy. We would definitely stay again :) Rob & Sam

Honestly can say this was the best experience of an Airbnb myself and partner had. A very warm welcome, treated like a part of the family. The room was very spacious and a lovely bathroom. Comfortable bed and the added teas, coffees, biscuits were a great touch. The breakfast was out of this world. Everything you could of asked for. What a lovely experience, thank you Sarah and Mark. We will visit again.

This was our 2nd visit to Hilary’s, as before we had a great welcome, the room and bathroom were spotless, and very comfortable. Sometimes travelling you stumble across the right person in the right home with the right attitude with a wonderful nature. I thought the first time I visited I had found that Air BnB and now my feelings are truly confirmed. Every box is ticked for me in order to recover from the busy day. I will be staying every couple of months from now on and I would highly recommend Ali as your host if you are visiting wonderful Dorset or neighbouring counties for either pleasure or business. And what pleasure grounds you have within a short drive: Stourhead landscape gardens, Shaftesbury, Dorset villages, Georgian towns, ancient villages...what is not to enjoy. Oh and the Jurassic coast. I will shut up now but honestly you cannot go wrong if you book a stay with Ali. Thank you.

I have stayed at Lyn's place on a good number of occasions now, and they are creating a very special environment, where their guests are treated more as family. The rooms are comfortable and warm. It is a shared bathroom but they make the effort to stagger it's use through communication between the guests. Breakfast is great, and the welcome is very friendly.

Maria was a fantastic host, really responsive and welcoming. The place was exactly as described and a perfect place to stay.

We had a great stay at Claudine & David’s place, they were extremely welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and the bed very comfy with a lovely view out to sea. The location was perfect for exploring the local sites - you can walk to Lynton and the valley of the rocks (the vernacular railway is within a 5 min walk if you don’t fancy climbing the hill!)

I arrived tired after driving through lashing rain. I was made to feel immensely welcome. Everything was very fine indeed and Rachel had put a lot of thought into providing everything needed for a comfortable stay.

I stayed with Avril for one night and she is a very good host. The place was spotless, and in my room, which had a lockable door, I had tea and coffee making facilities, plus use of the main kitchen, for which she had bought me bread to toast for breakfast, as well as some chocolate filled buns. It's now my go to place to stay whenever I visit the area.

Ian and Wilma were the perfect hosts, the house was spotless and quite beautiful. We have no complaints whatsoever, thank you both, oh and the Lobster Pot in Portland was spot on.

Tudor Rose Cottage is a charming and cozy retreat with everything you need for a comfortable stay, with thoughtful goodies that were very welcome after a long trip. The cottage is well-equipped and beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere - my Australian husband’s first experience of a thatched cottage was a great one. Be sure to take note of the quirky stairs, which may not be suitable for everyone, though they were manageable for us. Parking was easy, right outside the door. The surrounding village is delightful, offering a peaceful setting and a great base for exploring nearby attractions such as Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Cerne Abbas, Kingston Lacey, and more. Recommended.
