Cape Roc condo #319

LeoRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Condo was in a a beautiful , upscale part of Cape May with extremely easy access to the beach. In fact you could see the beach from the bedroom window. Pool was big, heated and well-kept and was great to have in addition to swimming in the ocean. Easy parking with luggage carts and elevator that provided easy ingress and egress. Altogether, a great place to stay!

AHHH!! Stress Free Vacationing at the Beach

KevinRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a great time at Rick’s place. We were there for the parade weekend so although it was busy Rick’s place was situated far away enough from the hustle and bustle of downtown yet only a quick 5 minute car ride. Rick was extremely accommodating and the place is exactly as described. Looking forward to staying again!

Bayfront Beauty

NancyRating, 5 stars4 months ago
A wonderful place to enjoy the fall amenities. Loved the gas fireplace and fire pit. The pit on the deck kept us toasty while we read and watched birds. The linens were fresh and plentiful and the wine cooler was a nice addition. Thanks so much for a terrific space to enjoy the shore.

Erin was wonderful to work with + so kind. Their home is so so family + kid friendly! They really thought of everything for children and that made traveling so much easier. I love all of the local products in their home - we fell in love with those too. It was a lovely little home to stay in.

Deborah's Beach House

KellyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Deborah's place is so peaceful and quiet. You are literally ON THE BAY. Every window has a view. I spent my time walking and staring at the water. With the sliding doors open, you can hear the waves. HEAVEN. Important to note: You are on a beach with only several houses — adjacent to a coastal preserve. It's a private beach. This is not your typical beach town location. This is exactly why it's so delightful and perfect. The house was super clean, beds were comfy, kitchen was well-stocked. I almost don't want anyone to know how great it is. Ha! Thanks for sharing your home Deborah!!!

Charming Beach Cottage

RynellRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Upon entering Brenda's delightful cottage we were greeted by the warmth, coziness, and spotless interior of a wonderful beach house! The rooms were exactly as advertised, and the fenced in backyard was perfect for our golden doodle to romp. What an added luxury the Salt Shack is! We did not use it, but I'm sure in warmer weather the enclosed space and covered patio would be thoroughly enjoyed. Brenda thought of all details as far as incidentals and amenities in the cottage from the treats on the dining room table (which our grandsons enjoyed, thank you), to the towels, linens, and toiletries. Everything was well marked and easy to find. The notebook was also appreciated. We had a wonderful family celebratory weekend in Lewes, and Brenda's charming cottage was definitely the icing on the cake!! We would absolutely return.

Broadkill Beach House- Sandbox Unit 1

SarahRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The place was as described and served our purposes. We very much enjoyed our stay and the host was really quick to respond to any questions we had. I was so happy to be able to bring our dog and have an easily accessible yard to take her out and spigot to clean her with after the beach. Having to bring all of our own linens, beach chairs, toiletries etc was a little tough for just the weekend. It felt the price of the stay was a bit high given that our stay was after labor day, on the bay, and required us to bring so many things. That may just be what the pricing is in the area, this was our first time staying, so I don't have a great frame of reference. Overall a very nice experience.

DorisRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a great time! My family decided to book this place for a little thanksgiving getaway. Although it was cold and could not enjoy the area as much, the view from the house is incredible!! Waking up to that view was so peaceful. I would imagine during the summer and spring is breath taking.

Tuckerton Bay Paradise

SusanneRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Our stay at Tuckerton Bay Paradise was relaxing, peaceful, and comfortable. From grandparents, adult children, grandkids, to grandpup, there was something for all. The home is well organized and beautifully decorated. The garage is stocked with water toys. The back yard and dock area kept up us well entertained. The best airbnb thus far for me! Thank you for sharing your home!

Footbridge Hideaway

SusanRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We really enjoyed our stay at TJ’s place. The house is very comfortable and spacious. We appreciated the extra touches like the record player and welcome baskets for humans and pets. The kitchen was very well-equipped and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed sitting out on the decks and hearing the birds. Our pup enjoyed walking around the community. Highly recommend!

Your guide to Sea Isle City

All about Sea Isle City

With 130 miles of coastline along the Jersey Shore, Cape May County’s Sea Isle City is one of the more popular destinations, thanks to its wide range of activities. For water sport lovers, there are surfing, kayaking, and parasailing options, while birders can enjoy the wetlands, fishing fans can cast into the waterways, shoppers can browse the many boutiques — and everyone can converge at the outdoor bandshell, which showcases free live entertainment in the summer. And for those looking to explore the entire shore area, to the south, there’s Avalon about four miles away and Stone Harbor nine miles away, while Ocean City is 16 miles to the north.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Sea Isle City

Temperatures in Sea Isle City can range from the upper 20s to the mid-80s Fahrenheit, so it’s essential to plan accordingly when booking one of the area’s vacation rentals. The summer months settle in a mid-60s to mid-80s range, but come with that muggy feeling, making midday temperatures uncomfortable at times (so maybe it’s the perfect time of day to take a dip in the ocean!). In the spring and fall, the range is from the high 40s to the mid-70s, but it tends to feel cold. The winters really bring the chill, with lows in the upper 20s and highs just barely hitting the 50-degree mark. Rainfall averages tend to be fairly consistent throughout the year, with the peak chance of precipitation in August.

Top things to do in Sea Isle City

Sea Isle City Beach

The star attraction in town is no doubt the white-sand beaches. Beach tags are required and can be obtained at the Welcome Center’s beach tag office on John F. Kennedy Boulevard daily from April to Labor Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and are required on the beach from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They can also be purchased via the Viply app or at the beach tag vending machine in the City Hall lobby 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but note the machine only accepts cash. Tags can be purchased for the day, week, or season. And if you’re there on a Wednesday, you’re in luck — it’s a free beach day.

Sea Isle City Promenade

Running from 29th to 57th Streets, the 1.5-mile oceanfront boardwalk has shops, arcades, and plenty of places to indulge in beach treats.

Sea Isle City Historical Museum

The Central Avenue museum documents Sea Isle City’s history, including a display of bridal gowns going back to the 1880s and photos from more than 200 family albums.
