Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Scala di Furno

We were two couples on vacation to tour the Puglia region, Giulia arranged to leave us two private apartments in the villa so that we were comfortable, the two apartments were absolutely impeccable, rarely seen such cleanliness, the pool ditto, her dad came every morning very early to fix the garden! She was very responsive to our questions, and also offered us a very convenient self-check-in and check-out. We highly recommend Giulia's place! We were there the first week of October, it was perfect for us visiting the surroundings and if you want to be quiet otherwise it is better to come in high season, more lively 😉 Thanks again Giulia! We arrived very late, midnight, and Cinzia was waiting for us. The house is high, so you have a magnificent view over the sea. A nice supermarket can be reached on foot in 15 minutes and 4 minutes by car. There are even 4 terraces, so you can always sit in the sun or in the shade. The pool was small but very clean and reasonably warm. The house is spacious, and all windows have screens against the mosquitoes. Spacious bedroom, large bathroom with washing machine, full kitchen. We enjoyed Alberobello, Lecce, Gallipoli and Ostuni. You do need a car for that. Paolo is very helpful and takes care of everything and also takes care of the garbage!

Apartment with great sea view, holiday-friendly, great location with short distances to the sea (also in August there is a quiet place) and to the village.

Our family stay at Cosimo's was perfect. From start to finish the experience with Cosimo was easy and pleasant. He was very quick to respond to any questions our family had before arrival and during our trip. His father let us in and showed us around the house when we arrived. He was such a nice man, going out of his way to try and make sure we were comfortable. The house itself is even nicer when you're there. The outside area is amazing, we spent most of our time here. Everything you need to have a relaxing vacation is there. The beach is literally across the street, you can view it from the roof of the house. It takes less than a minute to walk there. We had a rented car so going to the stores and food shopping was very easy to do. There are recommendations at the house for restaurants and other things to do in the area. Overall the experience was perfect, and my family and I hope to return here one day for a second stay.

Giorgia was communicative and lovely. Check-in/check-out was seamless and she even provided extra linens! Location is perfect if you want to be in the historic center and the views from the light-filled bedrooms and sunny terrace are gorgeous. We had everything we needed and so much space for a wonderful visit. I’ve stayed in multiple apartments in Lecce and this was the loveliest! We stay in Lecce often so we didn’t take advantage of her recommendations but I’m sure they would have been excellent! Grazie mille!

We loved our stay here, the property was absolutely stunning, the staff Aida, Maria Atonietta and Mirko were very friendly and responsive, and the meals they made for us were incredible. Priscilla, the host, was very responsive and was able to accommodate last minute requests from our group. The town is small, but beautiful and the restaurant in town Nonna Rosa had upscale dining which was delicious and a 5 minute walk from the villa. The town felt very safe and friendly, and the bar/cafe in the town center had everything you could want, including the local pastry pasticiotto. The local salumeria was run but the kindest couple who were so helpful, welcoming, and patient despite us not speaking much Italian. This is close to Lecce and Brindisi, which made travel very easy and driving through town and fining parking was easy.

The home was a beautiful place to stay. Hosts very helpful and quick at responding. Would recommend hiring a car to get to near by towns/cities.

We loved the quietness & the sound of sea. The views of sea were amazing. You need to have a car to visit the lovely locations nearby. All in all we very much enjoyed our stay.

The apartment was perfect for our family’s visit to Lecce. With two young children it was great to be a five minute walk from the train station as we came from Bari by train and visited Ostuni by train whilst we were in Lecce. Gennaro and Maria were so friendly and helpful, gave clear instructions for check in & check out, met us at the apartment to show us how to get in and were very responsive to messages. The little touches such as breakfast jams, milk, juice etc we’re so appreciated! The beds were very comfortable and the apartment was very very clean - we would definitely recommend this apartment when visiting Lecce with a family 😁

We had a very nice stay, location near incredible beaches, the center of Lecce is very close, supermarket and bar are very close, my children enjoyed the PlayStation and Arcade, we really felt at home, in general everything was good, we hope to return very soon. Thanks Jonathan

Pasquale was a great host and greeted us as arranged. The place was comfy and had all we needed with some lovely extra touches to greet us too. Good location with short walk into town and easy access to main roads out of Lecce. There are local amenities 5 min walk from house too with a decent supermarket, bars and restaurants. We stayed for 5 nights which was great. 😊

Francesco was an impeccable host, his property is really for those who want to escape the chaos of the city. The apartments are small but have everything you need to live peacefully for a week or more (I would only suggest putting in a small microwave so you can heat up some dishes on the fly). The property is magnificent, surrounded by greenery and tranquility, and is extremely well maintained; in addition, Francesco provides bicycles so you can reach the nearby beach without having to use the car. I would definitely recommend it to those wishing to stay in San Foca and its surroundings. Thanks Francesco!

We had a really nice week at Giulia and roberto’s place. There was plenty of space, it was well equipped and completely spotless. Giulia was very helpful in aiding us when we had questions and gave us some very good recommendations (including the very good market below the apartment which sells many regional specialities and the nearby ‘bar stop’ which has some of the best bar snacks I’ve ever tried!) The location is a bit further from the centre than others but it’s well connected by bus or you can walk in in about 30 mins. Overall it was a great experience and would really recommend… thank you!

Giuseppe's representative, Ilario, was excellent. He met us at the door and did a thorough job of showing us around and making us feel welcome, and he was very quick to respond when we had the occasional question. The apartment is clean and spacious. The location is well-placed in the old town, with many great restaurants nearby. It's about a twenty minute walk to the train station, which is convenient for day trips, and there's a good supermarket (Conad) about fifteen minutes away, outside the Porta Napoli. Our only problem with the place was that the dryer did not work, but there's a good drying rack which was fine. You'll need a couple of days for the clothes to dry. We highly recommend this apartment, and we would certainly stay here again.

Everything was excellent. Very clean and well appointed accommodation. The jacuzzi is really great and that's why we rented here. We don't regret it!!! We can only recommend it!

Although we arrived late, check-in was completely hassle-free - as was check-out. Giovanni was always available and responded quickly and always found a good solution when we had questions. We felt very comfortable, the apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and a huge terrace with sea views where we could enjoy our breakfast. The mattress in the bedroom was impeccable, so we could sleep well. The apartment is centrally located yet quietly in a side street - you can quickly walk to the city and the sea. Giovanni and his wife Francesca are very friendly and helpful hosts. We can recommend the apartment 100%

A tasteful and charming apartment in a fantastic location, perfect for exploring Otranto and its surroundings. Just a few meters from the beach. Highly recommended!

The accommodation was exactly as described, with every comfort available. Communication with the host was excellent and he gave us great tips on what to do in the area. Highly recommended!

We will definitely be back with our kids. This place rocks. The hosts were amazing. Georgio was so helpful with local restaurant recommendations and tour recommendations. Truly the sweetest man. The view from the room was spectacular.

Staying at Alessandro’s was perfect for our vacation. It is very peaceful and quiet, the terrasse and private access to the sea were worth ot already. Also it‘s a great location to explore the region from a less touristic starting point. Would have chosen this airbnb again! Alessandro and his father were always there for help, super friendly and the place was more spacious than it looked. Can highly recommend - thank you for everything!
