Benicia, our cozy & handy get away for your group
This home was in a convenient location and had enough space for my family with two young kids and my parents. We really appreciated the kids toys and books! They also loved playing basketball in the backyard.

Beautiful Home. Gorgeous Views. Five Bedrooms.
Wonderful place to stay with family and friends for a new year’s vacation in the Bay Area. Beautiful views over the city and a private and peaceful location. Great host that was very accommodating while maintaining our privacy. A great experience and would definitely stay again.

2 Bed Mountain View House
Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The home was peaceful and located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood with beautiful views. One of the biggest highlights was how welcoming they were to our pups. It made our stay even more enjoyable. Communication was excellent; they were always quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we would definitely stay here again!

Noe Valley entire guest suite overlooking downtown
Veronica’s place was absolutely perfect for our stay. We were traveling with my parents who are in their 70s. The neighborhood was super quiet, clean, and safe. It was centrally located so it was easy to get everywhere we wanted by public transport or by car (there was free parking on the street). The apartment was clean and tastefully decorated, and everything worked well. The beds were comfortable and the place was spacious. The deck outside was wonderful—we enjoyed our coffee with a beautiful view. Would definitely love to stay here again!

Casa Duca Wine Country, Discover More!
Tim and Margo's place was perfect for our family Christmas trip! Beautiful, clean house, nice decor, with a big kitchen, plenty of space, and very comfy beds. Location was also ideal for visits to San Francisco and Napa Valley. Hosts were always responsive and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Large Charming Home Surrounded by a Vineyard
The best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. James and Nicky were the most responsive hosts - any question we asked was answered in an incredibly timely manner. Incredibly clean. Well stocked kitchen. And a great location with views over their grape vines. We all hope to return again.

Clean, Private and Safe San Francisco Apartment
Andrew and Irene's place was beyond perfect and they were fantastic hosts! We arrived late due to unexpected delays and check-in could not have been easier thanks to their clear instructions! The apartment was pristine and Andrew and Irene had even set out dog bowls and a mat for our dog, Wilson. They have a lovely enclosed backyard which our dog loved and are within walking distance of so many charming trails and dog-friendly restaurants. We used to live in San Francisco and Andrew and Irene's place reminded us of why we love the city so much! Book it if you can!

Classic Bungalow at Dillon Beach
We enjoy an annual trip to Dillon Beach the days leading up to Thanksgiving, this was our first time in this home and it was perfect! Plenty of space for our family of five to comfortably spend time throughout the house and outside. We relaxed in the hot tub and around the fire pit. Coastal Kitchen and the market are an easy walk as well as the beach. The house was clean, up to date, and well stocked. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make a small early Thanksgiving dinner. We felt very safe. We’ll be back!

Your guide to Sausalito
All About Sausalito
Just past the northern tip of the Golden Gate Bridge, the bayside city of Sausalito boasts colorful homes, a dynamic arts scene, and heart-stopping views of the San Francisco skyline. Once a factory town that built ships during World War II, Sausalito has cultivated a creative community where artists and artisans show and sell their work in the town’s galleries, shops, and art spaces.
Only 20 minutes from downtown San Francisco and some of the best mountain biking in Marin County, Sausalito sits on the shores of Richardson Bay and has a laid-back vibe all its own. Cafes and coffee shops fuel passing cyclists while local seafood restaurants make the most of their waterfront views. Sausalito is also a convenient base for exploring the nearby Napa and Sonoma wine regions. And within an hour’s drive, you can also reach such heavyweight California attractions as Muir Woods and Point Reyes National Seashore.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Sausalito
No matter the season, Sausalito sees its fair share of wind from onshore breezes, and fog is a way of life in this bayside town, although it tends to burn off in the late morning before returning later in the afternoon. The best time to plan your trip is between September and October when there is less fog and the temperatures are more pleasant. Winters can be rainy and extra windy but with pockets of beautiful, warm weather. It’s always a smart idea to pack layers when planning a trip to the San Francisco Bay Area as temperatures tend to fluctuate throughout the day, even during the summer months, where it can still experience cool temperatures in the evening.
Top things to do in Sausalito
Muir Woods National Monument
Just 20 minutes away on a scenic winding road, you’ll find Muir Woods National Monument, the only old-growth coastal redwood forest in the San Francisco Bay Area, and one of the last remaining ones in the world. You’ll find various loop trails of varying lengths in addition to trails extending to Mount Tamalpais State Park. The deeply shaded forest is home to black-tailed deer, Sonoma chipmunks, northern spotted owls, and coho salmon — a federally protected species.
Sausalito Shipyard & Marina
Visit Sausalito’s historic waterfront to learn about the area’s maritime history and culture. You’ll discover old wooden shipyards that produced nearly 100 Liberty Ships during WWII and the iconic floating docks on Richardson Bay that are home to a thriving houseboat community. A self-guided tour beginning on the Bridgeway Promenade takes you along a one-mile stretch with six stops featuring placards and photos that will guide you through the waterfront’s history.
Golden Gate Bridge
Drive to the Golden Gate Bridge View Vista Point to take in magnificent overlooks from its northern end. Along the way, stop off at the Bay Area Discovery Museum, with various interactive exhibitions on local landmarks suitable for all ages, and Lime Point Historic Lighthouse, which once served as a guiding light for sailors navigating their way through the fog.
