Ocean View House w/ Golf Cart

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at John's place. It was centrally located making walking to the beach and playground so convenient. There was also a golf cart which was appreciated for those runs to the convenient store or over to Jetty's Shack for amazing hamburgers!! (highly recommend). We were a family of four adults, two parents and two grandparents with a a 3.5 year old and an 8 month old and there was plenty of room. We loved sitting on the porch watching the white cap waves roll in and seeing the sunrise. Bonus for us was we were there just before St. Patrick's day and a parade rolled right in front of the house, which was awesome for our 3.5 year old! Our host, John was very friendly and responsive to any questions we had . We will definitely look to stay here again when we are in the area.

We spent our anniversary at this cute little beach house! The location is perfect. The porch is shaded and perfect to sit outside and enjoy the sights and sounds of the beach. The kitchen is stocked nicely if you want to cook and there is a nice gas grill outside if you want to grill. We bought some firewood from the local store and sat around the fire pit the last night we were there. This place is so comfortable and host was very easy to communicate with. We will be back very soon! :)

It was truly one of the best places we’ve stayed. The only issue was that the dock lights didn’t work on the first night, which was a bit inconvenient since the kids were eager to start fishing right away. However, the host was very proactive and worked hard to resolve the problem. By the second day, an electrician had fixed the lights, and the host even provided lanterns just in case. My family had a wonderful time at this house, and we would definitely love to come back!

We had an amazing stay! We got married on the beach and having the beach house so close made things so awesome and convenient. We highly recommend to stay here anytime you come to Surfside. Only issue we had was the lights for the outdoor area shorted out the day of our reception so we weren’t able to have the benefit of that when it got dark but still was a wonderful time!!!

The house is exactly as described. It was clean, neat and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and cooking utensils. Our senior dog did just fine on the steps and enjoyed the big backyard. We enjoyed our week with our family.

One of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed at. Beautiful property on the water with an outstanding spacious clean house. The back yard is fully fenced for your pups a major plus (fenced yards are hard to find on Airbnb). The property is very well kept and there are no briars in the grass. The fire pit is conveniently positioned off the enclosed back yard, near the lake. Bring fire pit tools: long poker, long log grabber, and a shovel. Fishing is exciting, there are so many fish to catch. We were merely fishing for fun, catch-and-release, so we only caught small catfish and bass. There are lights near the doc/firepit area, but we could not figure out how to turn them on, so we purchased battery powered lanterns. The house is beautiful with plenty of room. The kitchen is fully equipped. Wifi works great and there are 3 big screen TV’s downstairs. The bedrooms all have extra pillows and blankets (major plus). The owner is great and responsive.

One truly wonderful spot! Perfect for kids since the walk to the beach was very convenient, as well as very close to two beach restaurants on both sides. The house was beautifully decorated and comfortable and the game table gave the 5 kids so much entertainment! We will definitely book the same house on our next trip to Surfside!

TripL and co-hosts are very responsive! The RV park is well kept. It’s quiet and safe. Gas station and convenient store is right across the street, Dollar General is less than 1 miles away. Near by Lake Jackson has plenty of restaurants and stores from the big city and it’s less than 20 minutes drive. There are boating ramp, fishing docks and wildlife preserves nearby. I will be back in October. Highly recommended!

Great location, space for extended family, and nice touches throughout. Very short walk to the beach, which wasn't crowded at all. We were there over St. Patty's Day weekend and a big parade goes right by the house, which made the kids' weekend.

There a few minor things to improve. The water heater produces stained rust colored water when turned on. There were very few towels available. The downstairs area is super big and could be a great place to spend time with the group, but there is only a picnic table there. Everything else about the house is great and we would definitely recommend it! We plan to stay here again next year if it's available. 9.5 out of 10!

What an amazing place to stay! You feel right at home the second you walk in the door. Walkable to the beach. Our favorite part was drinking early morning coffee on the front deck watching the sunrise and the waves come in. Beds were super comfy and plenty of space for multiple families. We will definitely be back!!

My boyfriend and I along with our 7 year old sons had amazing time here! We wanted a peaceful spot to fish and this provided just that! We caught a lot of fish & crab. Every cast we caught fish or crab. It was so exciting! Our boys loved it! The house was clean & equipped with everything we needed. The private pier was big, lit up & fully equipped. Michell was very accommodating, attentive and answered any and all questions right away. Upon arriving, there is a binder located by the tv that has you covered with all the answers to any questions you might have. It was an added little touch that you don’t see often in rentals. Neighbors were nice & neighborly. We plan to return in the future! This will always be where we stay when visiting Sargent. It was such a pleasant stay we didn’t want to leave. Thank you for such a wonderful place to make memories with our kiddos!

We had a birthday gathering for Grandmother and everything about this place was the perfect location to celebrate. From the nearby walkable Seahorse and On The Deck Restaurants, to the balcony overlooking the ocean having key lime pie, to the pink flamingo decor reminding us of Miami, Florida we had a great time. The beach was only moments away from the by foot as well. The host was a delight. Very responsive and always there if we needed anything at all. The home was cleaned pristinely. We were happy to make this place our home away from home for a bit.

Great place to stay! Absolutely loved the studio, it is perfect for me and my bird. They gave me a broom to help keep it clean and a starter kit for laundry and the kitchen. Very friendly staff, and loved that there was a bar, live music, theatre, pool, table tennis, and gym available on the premises. Extremely convenient, very clean, great prices. Loved everything from start to finish!
