Pet-friendly vacation rentals in San Luis Obispo

This is our favorite place on the planet, and we've traveled extensively. In fact, we like this place so much and have stayed multiple times, that our conversation now has become whether we can pull it off to long-term rent the place and stay!

Our family stayed at Summer Place over the Thanksgiving holiday. Upon arrival, the home was just as it was pictured. The yard is fully fenced so no worry about our dogs getting out. The house was equipped with everything you could think of, even Tupperware! The spa was beautiful and so relaxing. PRVR had the best customer service. Our spa had some issues that they sent someone out to fix on Thanksgiving day. Highly impressed with this BnB and with the rental company. Will probably stay here again.

Claire's home was a fantastic location for folks coming in from out of town looking to enjoy downtown Paso and the wineries. It was a "no frills" location but it met the description. It was quite spacious and fit our whole group quite comfortably. I didn't downrate the property for the following things (again, the space fit the description), but good for folks to know who are booking: - The hot tub didn't get very hot, I reached out to see if I could bump the temperature, but I didn't receive a response - Pots/pans/knives were outdated, but they did what they needed to do! - The entry code was provided in a message but it was also provided in the "check-in instructions" via the app. The codes were different so I got locked out (only 60 seconds), so just make sure you use the code in message I did love the fenced in yard for the doggo + firepit! Overall I would stay again.

Very cool older home, perfect for a family with a dog, and easy walking distance to downtown SLO. We loved the look and feel of the house, and parking was very easy, so it was a great place from which to explore SLO and the coast. The hot tub was pending a repair so we were not able to use it, but Michelle did adjust the price accordingly for us.

We had such a lovely stay at Wild Rose Farm! A spacious house with a well stocked kitchen, amazing views and animals on site which the kids loved. It was amazing to feel totally remote but then have all that Paso has to offer just a 10 minute drive away. A fabulous find for 3 families going on a weekend away with 6 kids under 4 :) Would love to come back someday!

Easily one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve had over the years, with its many thoughtful extras, modern updates that added to the fun and being stocked with everything we could want and more! My kids especially loved the hot tub, fire pit, toys and hillside view. My husband and I enjoyed all these and the espresso machine!! The location was perfect for us being very near all of the 5 cities but more peaceful than the touristy areas. Thank you Julie and John for a wonderful stay.

The Squirrel Cottage is a very cozy clean and peaceful place. We really enjoyed our time there! The greenbelt across the street made it feel like we were deep in the woods. Her place was quiet and clean and had everything we needed to make it a comfortable and enjoyable stay. And the backyard is so unique and lovely! It was like being in the woods. We can see the love she puts in all the details. We would definitely stay here again!

The home is even more beautiful than the pictures give it credit. On a gorgeous plot of land, very spacious for 9-10 guests. Wish we had even more time there

We enjoyed our stay the Fischer house. It is evident is a well loved home and we were very comfortable. Laura was kind and hospitable, letting us borrow boogie boards for the kids and the house is very convenient for our walks to the beach and to the main street for dining. Don’t miss the blue corn waffles at Hidden Kitchen.

The place was great for my family and my furry friends. Beautiful outdoor spaces and the house had everything we needed.

We were very happy with the host, very clean, quiet place. Would definitely recomend!!

Karen's place was easy to find, walkable to the west end of Cambria, a short drive to the beach (also walkable) and very clean. Enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and private access to the patio just outside the unit. Very spacious and reasonably priced. A great place to get away.

Rental company was very communicative, house was very clean and well stocked. Very pleasant stay and loved Morro Bay! Visit the state park: golf, canoeing, hiking etc.

Marilynn's home was spacious, comfortable, and well stocked with everything our group of 8 needed for the weekend! The inside was big enough for us all to hang out together comfortably, and the outside area is beautiful and private: great for enjoying the sunshine and some bird watching! One night we even decided that instead of going out we could just stay home and enjoy the game room! Marilynn was also very helpful and responsive! Our whole group was flying in from out of town for a bachelorette weekend, and I appreciated being able to arrange for some balloon and flower decorations to already be waiting for us upon arrival. Last note is that all the beds were very comfortable- which is never a given at a vacation rental, and was appreciated by all :)

This property is an absolute gem! Out in the country with very little traffic. Greatc360 degree views of the local wine country. Bill and Julie's dining recommendations were spot on. The only recommendation we would make, is to have a key pad on the inside of the gate as well. We had to drive a car down to the gate so my wife could get out to go for a run. We would highly recommend this property for a couple or family! Cheers, Andy

We had a great stay here. Lindsay was very friendly and communicative. The house is beautifully decorated and well appointed. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen, high quality linens and comfy beds. One of the cleanest houses we’ve stayed in.

I had an amazing stay at Whitney's home! The space was beautifully decorated, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect - a short drive to the stunning coastline I loved relaxing in the backyard, which was a peaceful oasis. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking to explore San Luis Obispo.

As always, a fun visit for our fur babies 🐶🐶 with well needed rest and relaxation for us! An absolute “win-win” every time that we’re grateful for!

Beautiful house and surroundings. Very roomy and clean with plenty of places to sit and chat with family. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the spacious backyard was a dream come true for our dogs. We would definitely stay here again!

The place looked even better than the pictures! Great outdoor area to hangout, and plenty of space inside.

Diane and Mike’s place is like a private little paradise. It’s quiet and peaceful. The view of the sunrise from the bedroom window is nothing short of breathtaking. Nights are clearly visible and gorgeous. You can even occasionally see the rockets from Vandenberg SFB. 10 min from the beach and hundreds of trails. Diane & Mike are incredibly kind and generous, with homemade scones to greet arriving guests and sweet bowls of fresh fruits & veggies from the garden on my doorstep, like a secret garden fairy. Oh, and Bear!! What an absolute love he is! Being here is like winning the lottery. You’ll never want to leave. It’s an incredible thing to find the right match between a peaceful long-term stay and budding new friendships.

Thank you for our stay! Josh and Kim were some of the kindest and most responsive hosts we’ve ever had. The property is well taken care of, clean, and private (yet close to many fun activities and restaurants). Would 10/10 recommend staying here

What a wonderful home! The backyard was particularly fun for the kids, lots of games and space to run around. We had a great time.
