Vacation rentals with beach access in San José

I had this Airbnb on my wishlist for my family to go to for quite some time. It was well worth the wait. The view is incredible and being footsteps from a very empty beach was amazing. We also liked how it felt like we were truly staying in a home, not a cold apartment. All the restaurants nearby are great, there’s also a supermarket pretty close and sufficient cooking utensils and pots and pans. We really enjoyed our time here.

This location in Rio Mar was amazing. We had responsive hosts who took care of us. It is close to shopping, especially if you have a car. It was 3 minutes to a 24 hour pharmacy and other food shops and gas station. It was only 30 minutes to El Valle de Anton. The beaches were perfect and you could walk from the room to the beach in 5 minutes. The luxurious pools were very well maintained and there was lots to do for the kids and adults. The restaurant onsite would deliver food to you if wanted. There is also a spa and a great gym. We cooked a lot and the kitchen was excellent, along with games for kids and TV in the main room and master bedroom with Netflix. The internet worked great also. The staff onsite was friendly and helpful. This was a 5 star vacation all the way around. You can't go wrong with renting this place in Rio Mar!

Beautiful apartment, very well-equipped. Stunning views! Enjoyed the AS floor daily. Quiet, very friendly clientele. Great walk on the beach with fisherman offering tasty fish and shrimp. We'll go back.

We loved it! We stayed about 2 weeks and even stayed a few more days. Super clean, amazing view and very cool decor. Near the beach, walking distance. The area has everything. Jorge is a 10! Always attentive and giving good tips. He saved us on the last day by getting transportation when we couldn't find anything due to the carnival. The bed is very comfortable! The truth is that the photos fall short. We'll be back for sure and I recommend it 100%.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

This our second time renting from Carlos and we were not disappointed. He was always responsive, made recommendations and was easy to communicate with. His unit was a perfect size for my husband and me, the kitchen had everything you need for an extended stay and the beds were firm but comfortable. I would highly recommend Carlos!

Overall, our experience was excellent, the place was very quiet, the apartment was very cozy and fully equipped. Its location is very good as it is easy and quick to get there. What we liked most were the pools, 2 beautiful pools where we had a great time, quiet and very happy. I am very happy and happy to have stayed here!. Thanks Emmanuel for your attention.

I would recommend the condo any time! we were truly sad to have to leave to come back home ! It makes you want to move to Panama! If and when we’ll come back to Panama, that will be the place to stay for us 💯!

There was a minor hiccup when I arrived for check-in—due to a temporary issue with the security system (app), my reservation wasn’t listed. However, I reached out to Luis, and within 10 minutes, he resolved the issue, allowing me to check in without further delays. He was incredibly responsive and apologetic, even though the issue was beyond his control. Their hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. Now, about the condo… The pictures on the site don’t do it justice! The building is new, modern, and exactly as described—oceanfront with breathtaking views from the living room, balcony, and bedroom. The property amenities are truly impressive, featuring four pools, a gym, a playground, a sauna, and an on-site restaurant. Gorgona is a quiet and peaceful beach destination—perfect for relaxation. If you’re in the mood for nightlife, Coronado is just 5-10 mins away, offering plenty of restaurants and clubs. A huge thank you to Luis and Didi for their exceptional hospitality!

Adrien’s place is STUNNING! We absolutely loved our stay and are already planning to stay again soon! The view is incredible and the property is very well taken care of. Rogelio is one of the kindest hosts and he went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The kitchen is well stocked, the beach is quiet and pristine, and the internet is very strong. It is truly the perfect place to relax with family or work remotely. We also loved watching the iguanas all day! I cannot wait to come back again!

Our experience at this house was simply wonderful. From the first moment, the host exceeded our expectations with their attention and courtesies, always being willing to make sure our stay was perfect. The house is just as shown in the pictures: beautiful, immaculately clean and with a very well equipped kitchen. The rooms are spacious, cozy and tastefully decorated, while the pool was always in perfect condition, ideal for relaxing. We had a couple of encounters with local wildlife, but the host handled the situation with great concern and professionalism, sending someone to fumigate and review the entire house right away. This level of attention and care left us delighted. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience, and we are sure we will return in the future.

I stayed for 10 nights in mid-December and very much enjoyed my stay. Short 5-minute walk to the beach and everything was pretty much as described. Thank you!

Classic Playa Coronado Beach House. Older open air home on the beach with pool, and playground for the kids. The house was as described, reviewed and as expected. Each bedroom had comfortable beds, A/C, and bathroom. It was perfect for our 5 day stay with family and kids. Marcela was a responsive host for any questions/problems. Daniel the grounds keeper was very nice and helpful as well if you needed anything. My kids loved the beach, pool and especially the playground. Great location and many restaurants and groceries stores within 10 mins or less. I would stay here again.

We spent a few days very relaxed, quiet and family. The house with very good conditions, everything was very clean and there was nothing missing. Mrs. Silvia is very attentive all the time. We will definitely be back!!! Excellent vacation!!!

Really enjoyed the peace and quiet here! The place was easy to find and super spacious! The beach club is close and very private basically all to yourself!

My family and I were very happy; since, the place is very nice, private and with beautiful pools. The pools were super clean and with variety for all sizes. The facilities are very nice and very homey, they make you feel quiet. I am very grateful to our host for their sincerity. The photos show exactly what the place is like. We will definitely be back!

A beautiful view of the shore but difficult access to drive to the beach. When we arrived after a long drive I just wanted to shower and bed but no soap or shampoos and limited towels for 2 people. People at the pool were so friendly and you can tell its being maintained well. This is the first time ive been asked to pay for electricity and not run the air. We could not get the air working but actually ramn the ceiling fans and it was very comfortable. We were in town during the 1st week of November and lots of celebration of panamanian music and it was fun to hear from afar. Very wonderful if your golfers as the course is directly below. Id love to stay longterm and enjoy the wonderful pool , covered palapas and crocheted hammocks. great access to markets and street vendors.

Eugenia is an excellent host!. We spent a fantastic 4 weeks at this condo and could easily have stayed another 4 ! Security and staff were great and there are a few restaurants a short walk away. The condo has absolutely everything we could want and more! We appreciated the power outlets for our wireless devices. The views from the balcony are breathtaking and there is shade to enjoy the balcony at anytime of day. We will miss our morning coffees on the balcony and the walks on the beach. This is the second time we have stayed at the Bahia complex, but this is the first time in this condo. We have friends who have also rented other units in this complex and this one is definitely the nicest! There are many upgrades and it feels more like a home than a "rental". Pride of ownership is evident throughout. We hope to have the chance to return to the area in the future and our first choice will be this condo as the unit is excellent and Eugenia's efforts as host are outstanding !

From the moment we walked in to Elennay's home, we felt relaxed. The space is modern, very well-decorated with furniture and accent pieces - definitely FELT like we were at the beach and on vacation! The kitchen is super-modern and spotless and included everything we needed to make wonderful meals and snacks. We loved being able to open the window at night and listen to the waves - amazing! When I had questions about anything, either Carlos or Elennay responded right away. We loved the pools, walking on the beach, meeting other tenants/visitors, and just relaxing. I would highly recommend Elennay's home and would definitely come back. Thank you for being such amazing hosts!!

We stayed me , my wife and our two children 3-5 years old at Nikki Philip's for 7 days and loved the place , Philip and his team were always there when we needed their help , a 5-star team! the unit of a beautiful size and bright , huge outdoor terrace. Extremely quiet place perfect for our family , only 2 mins from our room the pool and the 1 min from the beach the perfection , the only small negative is that the accommodation is certainly very in demand so all the kitchen amenities are very worn or damaged and there is no longer a children's park as in the photos but this did not prevent being a perfect place for us . Would I definitely recommend it!

Jorge Luis’s place was excellent, the complex where it is located is beautiful, well organized, and the beach is amazing. The apartment es really well equipped, has everything you need and more. I would totally recommend this place whether you travel as a couple or with your family.

The accommodation at Punta Caelo exceeded my high expectations. Fantastic nice beach and the apartment was great for us. It was very easy to communicate with Priscilla and partner. Highly recommend this location for a family seeking a quiet and beautiful resort.

My family was very pleased with this apartment; it is very nice, well decorated and comfortable, but the sea view is second to none. I really liked that we were able to use the beach bohios and pool chairs; which doesn't happen in other complexes. Definitely the place is beautiful for a family vacation. Full recommended and Miriam is very helpful and pending.

Had a lovely stay in Nuevo Gorgona, very well equipped and peaceful. Lovely pool areas and beaches. Can walk down the beach to buy fresh fish or shrimp off the fishing boats in the morning, Restopub Hawaii in Gorgona is excellent with a good menu, responsive staff and great music. Thanks for an excellent stay
