Lake house vacation rentals in San Francisco

Steven & his wife were wonderful hosts. The space is super clean, the room is large, and the connected restroom was a major plus. The kitchen was huge and had a nice vibe to it— as does the whole house, which is lovely and tranquil. Wonderful location, plenty of parking, walkable to the supermarket, and access to the bay trail. Overall, highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was so comfortable and clean plus Capt Kirk was friendly and helpful. The location, just blocks from the beach, was amazing and would definitely look to book again in the future.

I booked super last minute, and Henry was great. Very chill. His place matched the photos exactly. Neat, clean, and the w/d was a nice bonus! Close to the lake and vegan options (Vegan Mob was amazing). Although I couldn't take advantage of it, I appreciate the 3:00 check-in and 12:00 check-out. Neighborhood is pretty quiet with an occasional dog barking. Street parking was available. I will definitely stay again. 💜

I enjoyed my stay at Steven’s home. Very friendly household. He rents out several rooms and everyone I met was friendly, kind and considerate. Bed was very comfortable. Only side note is if it is a colder month, bring warm clothes as they use the heater during restricted hours. I don’t mind bundling up and I prefer to not sleep with heaters on, however, it gets very cold. Plenty of blankets to stay warm. Home is immaculate- that is my only concern. Definitely a great location and nice place to stay. I will stay here again for future visits.

Lily’s place was great for a weekend getaway. The patio scenery was beautiful and the weather was amazing. I would definitely recommend staying at Lilys place!

I will stay here again just to take in the view. One of a kind. Unit was as described, check in is easy and electronic. The bed was quite comfortable, and though it’s a bit cold at this time of year there was a nice extra blanket to snuggle in. Cell reception is rough, but super fast Star Link internet is provided throughout the property.

I had a wonderful long stay at this beautiful home, located in a peaceful and safe neighborhood. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping each morning was such a delight! The nearby lake is perfect for walks. Steven and his wife were incredibly hospitable, always quick to respond and assist whenever needed. Their warm hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable.

Karen is a wonderful host! She took great care of us and her home feels cozy and comfortable. I would absolutely stay again at this beautiful Oasis in the woods!

the house is super " zen". clean, neat, just sunlight and stylish. Naomi took me to hike the mountain nearby. without her, I would not hike that far and get to enjoy the magnificent beauty from top of mountain. she is super knowledgeable about tree, animal around the mountain as well. like I got private hike walk.

This is such a great rental! Keeping it bookmarked for future needs and sharing with friends. The house was very clean and comfortable. Ruby was very responsive when needed. It’s close to so many places, but is also on a quiet street — best of both worlds. Would be happy to recommend this place to others!

Beautiful place.

Roble Rd was the perfect place for us to land for a very long stay for a botched all house remodel. The private, gated location was perfect as we had to park bicycles and two cars and my dog had more room to run than ever. The nearby Berkeley shopping and restaurants were wonderful - it's a great location and a very nice house....

Quiet cozy neighborhood, convenient travel and comfortable living spaces.

Lovely peaceful 1 br cozy unit w large veranda settled in the hillside. Eucalyptus scented breezes and backdrop of nearby park preserve a great refuge from hectic world below. Very accessible and convenient to get back and forth while on call at nearby hospital. Police substation at base of hill and peripheral location near Chabot Lake Park adds to feeling of secure location. Reconfirm entrance instructions, Meg is a very helpful and caring hostess.

Very spacious home and Roland was a very kind and attentive host. Comfortable beds and couches, brand new oven in the kitchen, and the patio in back was a nice retreat at the end of the day. Roland was always available when we had questions. The house is also easy to reach, especially if arriving by taxi or bus. A corner store across the street was great for a couple things we forgot, and some ingredients for cooking. This neighborhood is pretty rough, though, and you should keep this in mind when booking. It was not a big deal for us as we used to live in this part of Oakland and knew what we were going into, but for a young family or someone not familiar with Oakland, this might be a shock. The home is a great home base for a trip, and it is very close to public transit (huge!), but this neighborhood isn't somewhere you'll enjoy exploring on a walk as a tourist. Parking is also pretty bad, you are unlikely to find a spot on the block the house is on.

This is one of the cleanest and well thought off Airbnbs we’ve stayed in. A lot of thought has gone into the small things to make ones stay very comfortable. The place is immaculate , lean and welcoming. You just can’t go wrong staying here. The host was very responsive to all communication.

Stayed for a weekend to go to a wedding. Location was amazing and felt very safe!

Emily’s house is beautiful and was a great place for our family of 3 to stay for a few nights. Our toddler loved the toys, books, trampoline, and the kid-sized picnic table in the backyard, where we ate many of our meals. The adults enjoyed the short walk to the many excellent restaurants on Park Blvd, the simple and elegant furnishings and decor, and the Samsung Frame TV. Emily was an excellent and responsive host. We will definitely consider staying here on our next visit.

Had a terrific time in this little apartment just off lakeshore. Very comfortable, with lots of space and a decent kitchen. Location also terrific.

great space to crash when commuting to school. the bathroom was well-decorated and they provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. multiple bath towels were given also! kitchen was stocked with dishes & utensils, paper towels, and coffee. view was beautiful from the bedroom too, so overall a great experience!

We really enjoyed our stay at Fouad’s lovely house. It is charming, tastefully furnished and full of every amenity you can think of. As well as lemon trees and flowers in the garden, a cute neighborhood and beautiful views across the bay to San Francisco. Six stars.
