What a delightful stay! Leda is a fantastic host, and her home is absolutely a great find. So quiet and safe. The house backs up onto a salt water lagoon—it’s a nature lover’s paradise. The beds are the best, excellent sleep is in your future here. The location is conveniently located to jump on the light rail to the ferry building and then San Francisco, or go to the Marin coast, or Sonoma. One should not let this opportunity pass by.

I booked super last minute, and Henry was great. Very chill. His place matched the photos exactly. Neat, clean, and the w/d was a nice bonus! Close to the lake and vegan options (Vegan Mob was amazing). Although I couldn't take advantage of it, I appreciate the 3:00 check-in and 12:00 check-out. Neighborhood is pretty quiet with an occasional dog barking. Street parking was available. I will definitely stay again. 💜

Always a great time when staying here. Jessica is great she responds every time within 5min.. and always has an answer and the solution. It’s a great place to go to get some peace and quiet. Love it.

the house is super " zen". clean, neat, just sunlight and stylish. Naomi took me to hike the mountain nearby. without her, I would not hike that far and get to enjoy the magnificent beauty from top of mountain. she is super knowledgeable about tree, animal around the mountain as well. like I got private hike walk.

This is such a great rental! Keeping it bookmarked for future needs and sharing with friends. The house was very clean and comfortable. Ruby was very responsive when needed. It’s close to so many places, but is also on a quiet street — best of both worlds. Would be happy to recommend this place to others!

Lois is a fantastic, generous, and very hospitable host. When we called her, she responded immediately. The place is nice and tidy and both the area and the household are quiet and peaceful. The surrounding neighborhood is walkable, and SFSU is super close, making it perfect for anyone visiting the university (and anyone else too!)

Roble Rd was the perfect place for us to land for a very long stay for a botched all house remodel. The private, gated location was perfect as we had to park bicycles and two cars and my dog had more room to run than ever. The nearby Berkeley shopping and restaurants were wonderful - it's a great location and a very nice house....

Quiet cozy neighborhood, convenient travel and comfortable living spaces.

Lovely peaceful 1 br cozy unit w large veranda settled in the hillside. Eucalyptus scented breezes and backdrop of nearby park preserve a great refuge from hectic world below. Very accessible and convenient to get back and forth while on call at nearby hospital. Police substation at base of hill and peripheral location near Chabot Lake Park adds to feeling of secure location. Reconfirm entrance instructions, Meg is a very helpful and caring hostess.

Very spacious home and Roland was a very kind and attentive host. Comfortable beds and couches, brand new oven in the kitchen, and the patio in back was a nice retreat at the end of the day. Roland was always available when we had questions. The house is also easy to reach, especially if arriving by taxi or bus. A corner store across the street was great for a couple things we forgot, and some ingredients for cooking. This neighborhood is pretty rough, though, and you should keep this in mind when booking. It was not a big deal for us as we used to live in this part of Oakland and knew what we were going into, but for a young family or someone not familiar with Oakland, this might be a shock. The home is a great home base for a trip, and it is very close to public transit (huge!), but this neighborhood isn't somewhere you'll enjoy exploring on a walk as a tourist. Parking is also pretty bad, you are unlikely to find a spot on the block the house is on.

It was great staying at Rin and Lynn's place! I stayed here with my Dad and sister. I appreciated that the photos accurately recapitulate the home itself, and size of each room (unlike many other listings where a fishbowl or zoomed out effect is used to feign the appearance of large rooms). This is one of the most functional AirBnB's that I have stayed in too (e.g. kitchen, parking garage, guest parking, etc). Safe/nice location, and easy for us to run quick errands or commute to our family nearby, across the bridge, or south of the city. We'd love to come back!

The accommodations were accurately explained in the listing. The neighborhood is quiet and a quick walk to restaurants.

Had a terrific time in this little apartment just off lakeshore. Very comfortable, with lots of space and a decent kitchen. Location also terrific.

Thomas is a great host and is great with his communication and very responsive. His place has a great location. It is on the corner of a semi-busy street, but still felt private inside. AC units were great to have on the hot days we were there. Cooled down in the evening quickly as we were close to a winding lagoon with a beautiful trail for walking. Thank you, Thomas. We'll back next time we can make it down there.

This is a great place to stay for anything you want to do in Oakland and a fabulous place if you enjoy scenic walks, being one block to the lake. My family stayed over Thanksgiving and there was plenty of room, comfortable beds and a great layout. Seemed to be everything anyone would need inside the house for all ages. We didnt use the outside porches etc but they also looked great. Place was extremely clean when we checked in and plenty of supplies and towels etc. Only caveat is that there are about 2 flights of pretty steep steps to get into the house which could be an issue with heavy luggage. Area felt quiet and safe. Definitely recommend.
