Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Salamander Bay

This was the perfect place to stay whilst our boat was being worked on in the marina shipyard as it was so close. It was a lovely house with an amazing outlook over the water, plenty of space and nice backyard for our toddler to play in. There were plenty of amenities within a short walk and beautiful coastal board walks right from the door.

Couldn't have been happier with our stay. Super friendly host and everything was exactly what we expected from the photos and description.

Highest recommendation possible for Armando & his gorgeous home. We had issues with another airbnb & Armando was very understanding & accommodating last minute. Our teens were surprised & delighted to find A had left some chocolate bars for our arrival, a thoughtful treat after our holiday disruption. The peaceful and well thought out gardens, complete with water feature & large goldfish really are amazing. The home & beds are very comfortable, tastefully decorated. The ducted air conditioning made the difference in the heat, with sleeping and during the day when we were resting after being out at the beaches, shopping 5 mins up the road at Westfield Kotara, op shopping at various vintage 2nd hand stores, finding bubble tea or visiting Taronga Zoo in Sydney. There's so much to do and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Having 2 showers with toilets & a bath is always helpful. This home truly is amazing, as is Armando. Grab some cooking oil, your food & luggage & enjoy this home!

Had an amazing stay while travelling up the coast with my floofers. The house was beautifully appointed, utterly spotless, and quite comfortable. I wish I could've stayed for longer. The private yard was also extremely appreciated. Thank you for letting us stay in your home!

In a spot where you can walk to essentials plus multiple choice of beaches. Parking can be an issue if you take more than one car, but still doable. The cozy cottage is the correct name for it. Feels like a warm hug after a stressful day. Considering how small it is, there are about 4 or 5 different spots to unwind depending on you taste.. balcony, back courtyard, front sun room, lounge. It also has the old wood smell that you can only get in older houses.

The location is great, place is clean and modern. Street parking was a bit tricky on a sunny weekend as it is minutes from the beach, but we managed.

We highly recommend 18 Cooper street, the property had everything you needed, lots of unexpected extras. A lovely property for a group of friends, close to town, a short drive to everything the Hunter valley has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay.

Rose's apartment ticked all the boxes for our recent stay in Newcastle. The apartment was pristine clean, light filled and very comfortable. And its location is the best in Newcastle, with short walks to Darby St, Bar Beach, Hunter Street and the Cricketers Arms literally just around the corner (a bonus surprise and perfect for that relaxing post activity schooner in the afternoon). As regular interstate visitors to Newcastle we have stayed in Port Stephens, Merewether, Honeysuckle and Hunter Street but Cooks Hill generally and Rose's apartment specifically is the pick of Newcastle locations. It is also simple and easy to get to from Newcastle Airport. Thank you Rose for allowing us to stay in your lovely apartment and we have now found our 'go to' apartment for our future stays, of which there will be many.

We had a great stay at Caves Beach - the apartment was well appointed and had everything we needed for our brief stay. There was plenty of space for 3 couples, and despite some average weather, we enjoyed using the balcony which had some awesome views. It was in walking distance to the beach, and we were so appreciative of Donna for accommodating our additional request needs! Thank you! The only suggestions I can make for future guests stays would be cleanliness - There was sand in the main bathroom, and the sofa had quite a few stains, as well as the carpets. I know these things happen over time with airbnb's, so it didnt affect our stay, but would suggest a deep clean!

We stayed here for two nights to wrap up our two-week holiday, and it was truly the cherry on top! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the room was beautifully laid out and spotless—such a perfect place to end our adventure. The hosts were fantastic—so friendly and easy to communicate with, making our stay even more enjoyable. Just a little heads-up: Newcastle is quite hilly, so while the walk down to the cafes and beach is a breeze, the trek back up is a bit of a workout—but we didn’t mind the extra exercise! Also, the little basket of snacks and cereal you get was the cutest touch. We were too busy being tourists and eating out to enjoy it, but it was such a thoughtful detail. Honestly, we couldn’t fault a thing. Thank you for making the end of our trip so wonderful!

We had an amazing stay at Steve's place! The apartment was clean, cozy, and exactly as described in the listing. The location was perfect—quiet, yet close to all the local attractions. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the welcome chocolate and local recommendations. The communication with Steve was excellent from start to finish. He was responsive and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, and we would love to stay here again!

Bianca's apartment was gorgeous. It had everything we needed plus! The mood created with decorative lamps, plants and luxurious fabrics was warm and inviting. The bed and linen, beautiful to look at and sleeping was a dream. We really enjoyed the privacy of the balcony, it was like another room of the apartment. Comfortable and again lots of plants and special fabrics and cushions. We walked everywhere, watched huge container ships coming into the port. Lots to see, beaches, historical buildings and lots of areas to walk or ride along. Restaurants & coffee shops and of course, unique boutiques and retro shops to explore. We would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic stay at Connie’s apartment. There were clear instructions as to entry and car parking and entry to the apartment was via the lift from the basement car park. Everything in the apartment was perfect for us with comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms, and full facilities. Lovely private outdoor area with a relaxed ambiance. Certainly the best Airbnb we have stayed in and worth every penny!

Mark and Leah provide accommodation which is superbly clean and comfortable and has many little touches (such as the beach umbrella and towels, and the welcome drinks in the fridge) which make for a very pleasant stay. The highlight is definitely the wonderful view of the bay, the foreshore, the headlands and the pier, which always has something interesting to watch. They also provide excellent information for self check in before arrival, and access to the apartment and nearby parking is really easy. The location is excellent for access to cafes and restaurants nearby and also for some beautiful walks in the local area. For a week's stay, the washer and dryer are very handy too. There is also an excellent TV with Netflix, YouTube and Foxtel. The kitchen is especially well equipped, with both pod and a grounds coffee machines. We are well travelled and this was one of the most comfortable apartments we have stayed in. Thank you Mark and Leah.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience staying at this Airbnb! The condo was clean and had everything I needed for my little ones. Location was beautiful and quiet. My little ones absolutely loved seeing the kangaroos. The host was welcoming and provided clear instructions and was quick with communication. Overall I had a great experience. Would definitely recommend for small families!
