We loved staying here and Steve was a great host! There were some plumping issues (something apparently the city has struggled with since the hurricane) but Steve was so responsive and helpful and had it fixed in no time! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing beach weekend!

Perfect location, right on the beach. Home had the perfect layout for multiple guests - 6 bedrooms/6 baths - and entertaining. Would definitely rent again! Thank you!!

This house was PERFECT for our family of 8. Everyone had a bed! The kitchen was full of everything we needed and then some! The kids did wish there was also a tv in the 3rd bedroom but that was not important to mom and dad. Kiddos loved having so many games available for the times it was rainy and night time, and all the extra beach toys available already at the house. We grilled out for dinner downstairs and loved that we had that option. The mosquitoes are HUNGRY and that was the only thing that affected our very short walk to the beach (not the hosts fault and a problem anywhere there) the front porch came with plenty of supplies to keep the mosquitoes at bay so we were able to enjoy coffee with the sound of the waves in the mornings. We had an absolutely great time and felt right at home here! During hurricane Beryl, Donna was responsive answering my questions about power and water and such. We are thankful the house was spared! We cant wait to come back already!

This is our second time staying at the house and it was just as amazing at two years ago. I loved watching the sunrise on the front deck with coffee (they have normal coffee pot and Kurig). The beds were comfortable. The house was very clean. Carla was helpful and responsive with questions. We also loved the sunsets from the back deck. There were tons of mosquitos, so be prepared with OFF!!

Staying at The Gem was like being invited into your friend's vacation home. We felt like we were welcomed guests and not just renters. The home itself was lovely, clean, and had everything we needed for a week of relaxation, connection, and fun with our teens. The beach view from the fully enclosed porch made for peaceful mornings and relaxing evenings with our dog by our side. The kitchen was well-equipped with good quality wares making preparing meals as easy as if we were at home. Instructions were clear and communication was top notch. It is clear the owners love their property and place a great value on providing a great guest experience. We hope to return!

What i love about surfside how quiet and peaceful it is and the water is clear nothing like the big city like galveston and dirty water and this home was extremely spacious and loved how tall the ceilings were ! They had a playpen and several baby things which was extremely helpful for our stay with our infant ! I would definitely recommend this place to anybody !

Great place to stay near Surfside Beach. The home was clean and has two storeys to stay. The home was clean with all the necessary amenties.There is also a bunk bed in one of the bedrooms which our kids enjoyed. The beach is a short walk but you have to cross the main road. There is also public beach access for cars in Freeport which is a short distance. The host Amanda is very responsive.We had an issue with the coffee maker during our stay and Amanda replaced it with a new one right away! Would highly recommend staying here.

Tk was a wonderful & responsive host! Our originally booked place was in poor condition. Tk took our reservation for the next day, letting us check-in early. The house was perfect for our group. There's plenty of room for a large family. The dining tables are ideal for board & card games. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, varied pots & pans, & was easy-to-use. Everyone said their beds were comfortable. Tk let us know the city water wasn't usable for cooking and drinking (maybe because of the recent hurricane?). I would say, it's not great for bathing either. We ended up using gallon bottles for hair & hands. This house had quick easy access to the beach. The beach had other visitors but was never crowded. Everyone was responsible & respectful (no crazy music or drunken behavior). It was a very family friendly area. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed the slower pace in Surfside!

Melissa’s place had everything we needed. It was so nice to sit on the balcony and watch the ocean or relax in the cozy living room and watch a movie. We enjoyed walking down the beach and ate at The Seahorse Grill several times. I recommend their queso and coconut shrimp.

We had a great stay with our family at Tonya's rental. Everything we needed was there. The beach was a three minute walk away. Things I liked: - Plenty of sleeping space (6 beds if I remember correctly), and lots of blankets and pillows. - Kitchen had plenty of cooking items. - Bathrooms were super clean. - Fans in all the rooms. - Outdoor box full of beach items - cart and chairs. - Handy cleanup area downstairs.

Andrea and Milann were great hosts and very responsive. This house was perfect for our family. It’s very spacious and has a great layout. The decks were nice to relax on in the evenings. The location is the best, with easy access to the beach and restaurants. Bonus, the neighbors are also friendly.

this stay was beautiful. the canal was so peaceful, me and my hubby fished off of their deck, had a few drinks - later relaxed in the hottub, and went upstairs to hangout by the indoor fireplace while watching our favorite show. it was very relaxing, much needed weekend! would definitely recommend and come back! The restaurant 1 mile down the road (bayside bar and grill), was also very good!

Great value and proximity to the beach. The place was cozy and inviting. Great deck for watching the sunrise (front) and sunset (back). We loved the neighborhood and the beach access most. Owner was very responsive. We had brain freeze (and/or we're old...ha!) and couldn't get the Roku to work, she called AND sent a message on this app. Just Great service on top of a great place. Highly recommend for families. My grandkids loved the place and being able to see the beach from the living room area. Would definitely rent again!

We have stayed at Terry and Katherine’s place before and as always WE ENJOYED!!! The beach front is awesome. The deck is PERFECT for watching boats, people, but for us, it was the sunrises!! The house isn’t cluttered and there’s lots of room in the living area! They allow my fur baby too which was amazing! The master bedroom was large and bed was comfy!! The kitchen had all we needed and overall we enjoyed their place! Definitely recommend to stay here! You just can’t beat the view!

What an amazing place to stay! You feel right at home the second you walk in the door. Walkable to the beach. Our favorite part was drinking early morning coffee on the front deck watching the sunrise and the waves come in. Beds were super comfy and plenty of space for multiple families. We will definitely be back!!

We were 3 family units, coming from northern states, to enjoy some warmth . Texas delivered. Sliánte house was perfect for us! Sitting on the deck was nice as was the very short walk to the water. Our grandkids loved the waves and loved getting ice cream from the ice cream trucks. The house had beach toys and corn hole, full kitchen, 4 baths!

Great place to stay house was very clean and definitely would recommend to anyone that is looking to get away for the weekend. They help you through the whole process and communicate really well definitely will be back.

Beautiful space, very nice to hang out with the friends. I saw previous reviews saying the fridge was small, but they must of changed, because it's a full sized fridge with a mini fridge upstairs. Hà was easy to communicate with and helpful. The bbq was charcoal not gas. Rooms were nice, kitchen had plenty of items and a lot of fun random DVDs. The beach is easily accessible, and it was a pleasure to sit on the deck. Nice views
