Cottage vacation rentals in Rutland Water

We stayed in Oak Cottage at Elms Farm Cottages and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Carol was a fantastic host - very communicative, flexible and helpful and the cottage was perfect - very comfortable and with excellent amenities - all the small things taken care of. We would highly recommend staying here and would love to come back one day.

Bumblebee was an excellent property. Ideal for my husband and I our 2 adult children and their partners .....not forgetting Dave the dog to have a family get together. The property was spacious, clean and extremely well equipped. The beds were comfortable. The addition of an enclosed garden, hot tub and outdoor cooking area was great. There were thoughtful additions such as a welcome pack and items for pets. The surroundings were peaceful. Can't recommend highly enough it is certainly somewhere we intend to return in the future.

A great stay in Adam’s gorgeous house. Kitchen was really well equipped, beds comfy and great shower. The village is really pretty and Stamford only a short drive away. Would definitely recommend; we were 4 friends but would be great for a couple of families too.

Great stay we really enjoyed our time there. The place was immaculately clean and described accurately. Brilliant communication with the host and a great range of suggestions in terms of food and sightseeing etc.

What a lovely few days at Rose Cottage with our family. Rodalyn was the perfect host, friendly, helpful and accommodating. On arrival we were welcomed with a thoughtful hamper of treats which the kids loved, the private “garden” is HUGE & was great for the children and our dog to explore, we loved the hot tub, outdoor speakers & lights. The full bookshelf and games in the Cottage were great to keep the kids entertained in the evening too. Also, thanks Rodalyn for the walk recommendation which we all enjoyed. Hope to be back again soon.

We’ve just got home from Merlin’s Lodge, and what a place it was! Super clean and as described. Really private location, peaceful and relaxing with the hot tub. I’ve already had friends ask me for the links based on the pictures they’ve seen. Would definitely stay again.

Laurence and Fran made sure we had everything we needed, and checking in and out was so straight forward. We will absolutely be coming here again, thank you so so much!

This is a great base to explore Lincoln, Newark and Sherwood Forest. Lots of walks and history in the area. Philip recommended 2 great pubs, Prince Rupert in Newark and Hare & Hounds in Fulbeck. We also really enjoyed the Alpacca Farm and Doddington House. Philip lives close by and came to greet us on arrival. He is very friendly and helpful. The hot tub was great and accommodation very clean.

We had a really enjoyable stay, beautifully clean , comfortable cottage with everything you need. Lovely treats 😋 even a doggie treat bag. Great places nearby and plenty of places to walk. Wonderful view out the main bedroom window. All in all a great place. Thank you to Dean and Annette x

A beautiful and very cosy cottage in a lovely little village. Elizabeth was fantastic from the moment of booking, really friendly and helpful. The hamper was a really nice touch and bringing treats for the dogs was very thoughtful, they definitely approved! Ample parking, very easy to check in. The cottage was absolutely immaculate. Reclining sofas, very comfortable beds, a great shower. Well equipped kitchen. The garden was perfect for our dogs. There was not one single fault with our stay and I was rather sad to leave! We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you so much 💕

We had a great stay at Caroline and Roger’s Airbnb. Communication was extremely good. Fiona gave us great directions and gave us lots of recommendations on where to eat and go. Roger was there when we arrived and gave us a really warm welcome and showed us around our accommodation. Beautiful location, we would highly recommend staying here

Had a great stay at Stoop Cottage. Really appreciated Rachel's thoughtful extra touches. Location was excellent - great local shop, lots of places to eat and drink nearby and fantastic walks for the dog. A very relaxing stay and hope to be back.

Very comfortable stable conversion, warm and clean, with high quality furnishings and well equipped kitchen. Peaceful and private, we spent a quiet New Year playing board games. Caroline is a wonderful host, friendly and helpful.

Mia's home was decorated tastefully, well equipped, very comfortable and quiet. Plenty of room for 2-3 people. Just the ticket for a weekend get away. The village is very small, quiet, almost sleepy, with a pub within walking distance. Nice trails for long walks in the countryside.

Family visiting for weekend. The Cottage was ideally located for visiting relatives (which was a perfect coincidence). The cottage was perfectly sized for 2 adults and a baby. It was cosy. Very neat and tidy. Lots of amenities all within walking distance. We were all very happy.

Returning to this lovely Airbnb was like stepping back into a great memory. Everything was just as cozy, clean, and welcoming as we remembered. The space had that same comforting charm, and it felt even better this time around. It was so nice to relive the calm, the vibe, and all the little touches that made our last stay special. Truly a home away from home. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience—we’ll definitely be back!

Very quaint house in a quiet secluded area, just what we needed. House was clean and tidy. Rachel was very responsive to any queries or questions. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

We had SUCH a lovely stay. I think the listing here doesn't do justice to how private, beautiful and quiet the Lodge is. The sounds of the birdsong outside was magical, along with cockrell crowing and the sound of lambs playing in the garden! The accommodation is also stunning, decorated to an exceptionally high standard for an airbnb property. The kitchen is well-appointed and everything worked perfectly. There are some lovely walks and local pubs/restaurants and we tried the outdoor spa and sauna which is a short drive or 30 minute walk away, in the same village - Paus. It was heavenly and fun to have it so close. Overall, would definitely recommend this place which has been put together with such care and attention to detail - we hope to be back!
