Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Rutherglen

We 3 old friends drove from central Victorian towns to attend a 100th birthday lunch for the mum of a mutual friend. A house with 3 bedrooms and a lounge room to share, suited us better than separate motel rooms. Access to the town centre and the venue on Gateway Island was easy. Information provided by the hosts re the nearest takeaway shops and supermarket was useful. The place was clean, beds were comfy, and showers were great. Happy to visit again!

What a lovely property! It rained on the second day, and the valley was covered in clouds, adding to the beauty. The house was well-maintained, clean, and felt homely. Everything was perfect. The drive to the property was also smooth, with a well-paved highway-quality road. And finally, such great value for money! Highly recommend this accommodation.

We had an amazing stay at Lockhaven House in Mulwala! The home was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The outdoor area was a real highlight—plenty of space to unwind. The location was perfect, close to the lake and local attractions, yet quiet and peaceful. The hosts were welcoming and made sure our stay was seamless. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We’d love to return!

We had a wonderful stay at Renee’s house. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay, including some treats for our dogs. Renee was very helpful prior to check in across our communications. Lovely house, spacious garden. We made some home made lemonade from the tree in the backyard and loved the view - with mountains all around and ample star gazing at night.

We love loved our overnight stay. Tanya was very responsive. Great location when travelling between Melbourne and Sydney. The place was extremely clean and tidy. Oven was great as had many options including an air fryer. Great for cooking for kids. Highly recommended.

This place was great! Exactly as described. 20-25min to walk into town which is what we did. Parking in town if you chose to drive is easy. Facilities at 5b were perfect. Cool, fans and AC if needed. Parking for two cars easy. Ample places to sit outside on either side of the house. Thank you Marcia and Troy!

We had an amazing getaway at Linda’s place. The house is HUGE with a huge shared living space then bedrooms down either end of the house for privacy. Super well equipped kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. We had the most wonderful time enjoying this space. Back road connected to Canyon walk and also only 4 minute drive to town. Would highly recommend

Jennifer’s place was close enough to Albury by car, in a quiet cul de sac with lovely neighbours. It was a peaceful area and her home was spotless and well furnished. We had a slight hiccup with the code for the front door but Jennifer responded immediately and we were able to get in quickly without any inconvenience. Thanks Jennifer for being so accommodating of our check in and check out times and for being a great host.

Cute and comfortable accommodation in a fantastic location. The location made it easy to walk everywhere in town! Would book here again if visiting Bright in the future.

We enjoyed a 2 night stay in this lovely apartment. It is very spacious and comfortable. Very clean with everything we needed. Plenty of kitchen bench space and loads of storage. So close to everything on main street but surprisingly quiet, particularly as bedroom is at the back. It is one of two apartments with a shared large balcony so would be great for family to have both apartments & the whole balcony. We had a neighbouring guest but with such thick walls we couldn't hear them at all. Stairs up from carpark which is off street, behind shops. Loved the decor & industrial chique feel. Wangaratta is a lovely town & the cafes/restaurants along the river walk were great. We would stay again at Marcia's apartments.

Our stay at Michelle's place was excellent, exactly what we needed and wanted. Michelle allowed us to check in a little early, and the place was spotless. Thank you for having us!

Beautiful holiday house right on the water in Yarrawonga. About a 15-20 min walk to sebel for coffee, close drive to main town and shops. Beautiful view from backyard. All cooking utensils and BBQ to use, very clean home. Appreciated the thoughtful welcome package with choccies and wine! Aircon worked well in the heat. Heaps of mosquitos so would recommend bringing mozzie stuff if you want to sit outside. Instruction booklet and things to do recommended inside the property. Would recommend staying here :)
