Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Ruby Bay

Bob and Koniko were awesome hosts. They were warm and welcoming upon our arrival and throughout our stay. The arrival instructions were clear and on point and Bob had some great intel on area beaches, restaurants and other attractions. They were promptly responsive to any communications or questions we had and they were accommodating and helpful to a fault when we had any inquiries or requests. The property itself is incredible-very nicely furnished and equipped with a stunning vantage point and view over Pohara Bay and Farewell Spit. The location could not have been more convenient with easy and quick access to beaches, walks, and other amazing destinations such as waterfalls, natural springs, and unreal rock formations. There were several cafes within easy walking distance and Takaka is a 10 minute drive if you're looking for more variety or want to spend a day browsing some very cool and interesting shops and other restaurants and dining options.

We loved Meredith's place. It was spotless with homely and artistic touches throughout. We didn't want for anything. Super central location, easy walking distance to so many lovely spots to eat, drink, shop and wander. Comfy beds, cosy living spaces, full self-catering supplies, music and books aplenty. We could easily have stayed the week!

Birdsong was perfect for our biking needs for the week. Great parking, every utensil or pan you may ever need in the kitchen, and loads of different places to sit and relax. Very sunny. Oh and the beds were very comfortable too. Thanks Ina!

We have just arrived back in the UK after a three week stay at Lucy and Matt’s glorious home. Having their home as a base enabled us to see our family (who lived nearby) and host our family too. We had many many happy times relaxing in the garden and hearing the children (and adults!) splashing in the pool. The property was perfect. It was light and spacious and very welcoming. There are two lounges and four bedrooms so everyone had their own space. The patio and garden are a perfect size and the pool was certainly an added bonus. Lucy and Matt are very caring and responsive hosts and we are extremely grateful to them for sharing their beautiful home with us 🩷

The location of this home is incredible! Beautiful sunsets, close to penguins and a number of stunning beaches and hikes. Check out the baby fur seals, caves, natural spring, waterfalls and abundant bird life. Piwakawakas at every hike! Garry was very accommodating and responsive. Rent with confidence!

Caroline’s home is spectacular for so many reasons! She has a beautiful home inside and out and the decor was top notch! Caroline was a very gracious and welcoming host … will definitley be back!!! Thank you Caroline we truly appreciate you!

Kimberly’s house is fantastic! My family and I had such a great time enjoying our downtime in the home. The upstairs living room and kitchen are perfect, a great layout and the TV has all of the bells and whistles. The gas stove is amazing! There were plenty of toilets for my family of five, and the backyard had plenty of space for my kids to run around and play. The patio is very spacious and would be great for a barbecue. The beds were super comfy and we absolutely loved the couch. The washer and dryer were put to use after a long day being active. Best of all the home is in a quiet neighborhood but close to downtown Nelson and the beaches.

I’ve stayed in many air b and b,s over the years and I can honestly say Joanne’s was the best I’ve ever stayed in! The accommodation was excellent! Beautifully decorated, homely, and she thought of EVERYTHING when stocking the kitchen. Better than what I have at home! Joanne and David were very welcoming, kind and friendly and provided us with lots of local information. I wish we could have stayed longer.

While staying in Nelson NZ for several days, Matt’s place offered everything we wanted plus more. Checking in and out was a breeze, and communicating with the hosts was warm, timely, and informative. The flat was super clean, had a spacious layout, and (a real treat) luxurious linens and several pillows. Both the kitchen and bath were well-equipped. Matt’s place is a 5-minute walk to Sublime Coffee and a few more minutes to ample shopping and dining at Trafalgar and along the beach. It’s a short drive along 6, outside, to access some of the region’s most memorable cellar-door experiences. We especially loved the floor-to-ceiling slider with picturesque views of sailboats across the street. The generous outdoor patio has everything you need. We also enjoyed having a reserved space in the parking garage.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Carmel & Dan’s place. What a beautiful spot! Carmel & Dan are so lovely & friendly which makes you feel immediately at home. The place is furnished beautifully and was in pristine condition. It had all the amenities we needed. We really enjoyed walking around the beautiful property and feeding the sheep and goat. We loved exploring the area and did day trips to Abel Tasman to hike and kayak! We also enjoyed dinner at the Moutere Inn. We would highly recommend booking this spot!

It was our second time to stay at Garth’s place. The place is always spotless, tidy , cosy and comfortable. Garth is very approachable, friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again next time we head up to Nelson.

Great apartment for multiple people sharing. Plenty of cutlery, crockery etc.. Close to town centre and restaurants, shops, coffee etc. Easy instructions for entry, clean, and enough space for 7 people. Would recommend to other guests.

April's place was a great place to stay for our visit to Nelson. The city center was just a short drive away and there were plenty of shops and restaurants there to choose from. It was about a 1 hour drive to Able Tasman NP. The property was clean and comfortable, especially the beds, and the kitchen was well equipped. We did not cook any meals there but there seemed to be enough equipment to do so if you wanted to. The laundry facilities were very good and we made use of them. We didn't get to meet April as she was away while we were staying, but she was excellent at communicating and checking that everything was ok. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again if we were in the area.
