Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Ruby Bay

Bob and Koniko were awesome hosts. They were warm and welcoming upon our arrival and throughout our stay. The arrival instructions were clear and on point and Bob had some great intel on area beaches, restaurants and other attractions. They were promptly responsive to any communications or questions we had and they were accommodating and helpful to a fault when we had any inquiries or requests. The property itself is incredible-very nicely furnished and equipped with a stunning vantage point and view over Pohara Bay and Farewell Spit. The location could not have been more convenient with easy and quick access to beaches, walks, and other amazing destinations such as waterfalls, natural springs, and unreal rock formations. There were several cafes within easy walking distance and Takaka is a 10 minute drive if you're looking for more variety or want to spend a day browsing some very cool and interesting shops and other restaurants and dining options.

Beautiful home! The house was clean, private, and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and flatware, etc. Loved the windows/doors that opened right out to the large deck with view of the water. Just a 5 minute walk down the hill to a great bar/restaurant. The beach is really great too, and just a short walk from the property. Clear instructions from the owner, and easy entry to the property. Quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed our time here - wish we could’ve stayed so much longer than we did! Would absolutely return if we are ever back in New Zealand!

Wow! This is what an Airbnb should be like, definitely felt like “home away from home“. Beautifully presented, matching online description and photos. Meredith’s accommodation is certainly quiet, private and has a superbly stocked kitchen with utensils and dinnerware etc. you need to cook your own food. Lovely private outdoor courtyard which enabled us to enjoy the sunny Nelson weather. A bonus was an additional seperate toilet from main bathroom, technically it’s a 1.5 bathroom. Thanks so much for the wonderful treat and nice card Meredith left for my Mum who was celebrating her birthday during our stay. I would have no hesitation in recommending Meredith’s accommodation.

An absolute GEM - both the home and Ina & her family! There is not a single thing I could fault them on, it truly is a gift to have them open their home for others to enjoy. With all the home comforts you need to stay in, and several cosy nooks to settle into both inside and outside, you will be hard pressed to leave the house (and that’s saying something because Nelson is a stunner). Hospitable and thoughtful hosts who communicated excellently and were so accommodating and lovely. This weekend getaway was so desperately needed and your home was the perfect place to disconnect from life’s busyness and truly relax. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, we would love to come back! xx

Amazing place…have not had a better view. Definitely need a AWD to get up the hill, but host (Tamarin) made sure that she communicated that before confirming booking. Property has a cat, onyx, very friendly and makes you feel right at home. Huge property to wander around, see sheep, cattle and feed chickens.

Caroline’s home is spectacular for so many reasons! She has a beautiful home inside and out and the decor was top notch! Caroline was a very gracious and welcoming host … will definitley be back!!! Thank you Caroline we truly appreciate you!

Great space, we booked this home for our family Christmas Day 2024, and had plenty of space for the family, the large deck area was perfect and plenty of outdoor seating space for everyone.

Amazing view of Nelson harbour and airport (great for plane enthusiasts)! A quiet street that provided a relaxing stay.

Possibly the most beautiful BnB we've ever been too. Highly recommend staying here as it will not disappoint. Exceeded our expectations! Incredible views, with an amazing sunset. The apartment it so well thought out, Lisa and Owen have thought of every detail and should be very proud of the space they have created. Will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful 4 day stay at the Tides apartment. Great view, perfect location. The apartment has everything you need . It easy to relax there but it is only 1k to the start of the Abel Tasman track, and water taxi and kayak options are abundant. Dave and Heather are great onsite hosts, and Jessie dog is a sweetheart. It is entertaining to watch the tractors haul the boats in and out at low tide. Marahau is SO much more peaceful than Kaiteriteri. Highly recommend this place!

I would highly recommend staying with Joanne and David. Lovely people who greeted me when I arrived. Very modern well appointed apartment with plenty of room and a well stocked kitchen with everything needed to cook a meal. I look forward to staying with them again.

Matt’s place was great for our visit to Abel Tasman National Park, and convenient location from the airport and to restaurants. Spotlessly clean, well-appointed, and comfortable beds. Matt & Jocelyn were very responsive and great hosts!

Carmel and Dans stay is very special. They are excellent and welcoming hosts and the accommodation is top notch. We loved the location and the tranquility. We will miss Sammie too. 🐶 Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

An immaculate, modern, spacious and very comfortable apartment which has an expansive outlook and everything we needed for our weekend away. We were delighted to have the opportunity to meet our friendly and helpful hosts, Garth and Sandra, and had a couple of lovely chats with them. We wish we could have stayed longer and wouldn't hestate to recommend this lovely accommodation to other guests.

April and Ian are delightful hosts. Easy to work with and very resourceful. They made me and my local family members feel welcomed. The place is fabulous, well stocked with all the amenities to make a long-term stay feel a bit like home. The place was clean and airy. The furniture well made and the beds comfortable. Great hosts, great place and great location. Would do it again!

Very comfortable, clean, super-easy check-in. Friendly hosts who made a point to say hello and give tips about what to do in Nelson. Liked the sweet and peaceful terrace with a view, perfect for enjoying a drink or meal. We enjoyed this stay.
