Farmstay vacation rentals in Rockingham County

We stayed at the farm while our townhome was being renovated. We loved it. The house is beautiful. We felt right at home. Dave was great with questions and issues. We highly recommend this house!!

Donna’s place was an incredible stay for a fall weekend. We really enjoyed being able to use the kitchen, kayaks, and fire pit outside by the beautiful foliage.

We had a wonderful visit to Shilo Farm! This was a very unique stay. There was obviously a lot of thought put into every part of the experience. The bed was very comfortable. We met with Cynthia, the caretaker who checked us in and gave us the tour. She was very friendly and attentive to our needs. We were able to have some time in the yoga studio as well and that was a treat! Thank you for such a warm and welcoming weekend! :) I would recommend this stay to any of my family or friends.

We enjoyed our stay, lots to do with in a few miles. There are some games to play while we enjoyed a fire. We had a projector so we enjoyed a movie later on upstairs in the loft. Thank you for the relaxing time.

Beautiful house on lake property. It was peaceful, quiet, comfortable, gorgeous views and great for our family. We would like to stay again in warmer weather. Sue was an excellent host. I can't say enough good things about her and her helpfulness, care, concern that we were doing well, and promptly responding to any questions . She really made us feel like it was home.

This was such a fun place to stay! Jim and Julia were lovely hosts. They gave us an official tour as soon as we arrived and a little history on the house which was lovely to learn about with it being the first house built in Candia. Our favorite part of the stay was Lila, their dog! She was such a sweetheart and kept us great company. We loved going out to the barn to see the horses and chickens. Definitely a peaceful farm life getaway. So many activities to do here. Unfortunately it rained the entire time we were there so we didn’t do much outside but there’s so many activities to do. I would stay here again!

Had such a wonderful stay in the master suite. Truly such a hidden gem, tucked away in the hills of NH - but close enough to a ton of local attractions. 1 hour from Boston, 1 hour from Maine, & 30 mins from Manchester, NH. The livestock guardian, Lyla, was such a lovely co-host as well. She was right on the porch, ready to greet us each time we returned and was always appreciative of scratches & belly rubs. Jim had a ton of great recommendations & was a pleasure to chat with as well. Thanks again for such a great stay, we will definitely be back again at again!

Our family(10 of us made of 3 generations) stayed a weekend. We arrived after a 6" snowstorm. The tour by James was amazing. It was much more than our family needed in terms of the lavishness of personal spaces and bathrooms. The kitchen and pantry were the best stocked that we had ever experienced, though we came with 95% of what we needed. The best thing for us was that it really felt like being in someone's home, a home that was loved and filled with stories, verses a sprawling, sterile space that focuses on efficiency. We had the best hide and seek game ever. The dining room table harbored hours of family board games. The kitchen made laying out big meals easy in both prep and presentation. We warmed stacks of plates by the on-going fire place. We did the sauna, billiards, and the game room. The land was exquisite! We skated, rode outdoor vehicles, sledded, and rode horses. Barn and animals a big plus! It felt like being catered to at a favorite uncle's country estate/homestead!

We enjoyed our stay at the farm while visiting family in the area and I’m sure we will be back next time we visit NH again! Our hosts Julia and Jim were super helpful and had everything we could possibly ask for activities. We stayed in the Adventure Suite and really appreciated the two bedroom space to spread out with our toddler. The beds were cozy and the insulation was great - while there were other guests staying at the farm, we never heard them or had any problems with noise disturbing toddler naps/sleep! Our toddler loved all the toys available in the playroom and also being able to feed the horses and see the chickens. Highly recommend for families and anyone looking for a cozy getaway with lots of things to do right on-site.

Enjoyed our stay with George and Ethel! George was extremely communicative leading up to and the day of our stay to make sure we arrived without a hitch. Traveling with dogs can be tough, and options can be limited, but George and Ethel made us feel right at home, including a welcome doggie basket for our pups. Nestled in nature, this is wonderful hideaway from the hustle and bustle. Feeding the wild turkeys was the highlight of our mornings there. Thank you George and Ethel, I hope we can be back to stay again!

Always wonderful to get away from the city and spend some time at the bunkhouse, I’ve gone a few times now. If you’re looking for an authentic, rustic, peaceful getaway this is the place.

The bed was super cozy, the host was responsive and friendly, and the cats were adorable! I had a nice evening with the host chilling with the cats (and petting and playing with them) while watching TV, and when I stepped out for dinner I found a great place following her recommendations. The breakfast was great! The French toast was delicious, and the timing was perfect - made fresh shortly after I came downstairs, close to the time we’d discussed the day before. Check-in and check-out were simple too.

We greatly enjoyed our stay! The airbnb was beautiful and had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing trip. Sean was a wonderful host with great communication. We wish we could have stayed even longer and definitely will stay again if we are in the area!

This was my second time staying with Jan. As the description says, this is a hostel-type stay, so be prepared to share the space and all that comes along with that. I stayed here both times for a night with my dog. Her other guests were very respectful and kind. As a single woman traveling alone, I appreciate that Jan takes the time to check in with her guests at some point when everyone is around to get a pulse on her new guests. It's a great, safe spot to stay for cheap especially when traveling with my pet.

Beautiful farm in a great location. Very cozy setting, a picturesque setting to spend a couple nights or a longer stay. The Hosts were super friendly, will make you feel at home and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Super clean from top to bottom. Loved the shower and the washer/dryer is a huge plus. Would recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely have to spend some weekends there in the future.
