Barn vacation rentals in River Thames

We had a wonderful break at this beautiful place, waking to the dawn chorus every day, listening to the owls in the evening, and even saw a couple of deer in the garden, absolutely beautiful. The spa was lovely, and was such a great experience to have it to ourselves, we felt very relaxed after our long weekend stay. Fordingbridge not far to eat and drink/shop for groceries, and beautiful New Forest walks only a few minutes in the car, would highly recommend, thank you so much… and the welcome cake was lovely too!

Stylishly decorated Homemade jams and granola, honey, yoghurt, and bought-in croissants, tea and coffee left for us Very good log burner Natasha recommended a great pub nearby Slight quibbles- (hyper critical): Shower room a little functional Fair amount of owner's stuff about - e.g material swatches, 'Dad rock' albums and hifi . Overall, I recommend highly.

We had a wonderful quiet few days spent chatting and enjoying the beautiful surroundings the area had to offer. For a quiet getaway I could not recommend enough.

Myself and a few friends were looking to escape and have a private beautiful place for a relaxing new year break and the barn was exactly this! We felt at home straight away. The barn is stunning - it’s somebody’s home with books, artwork, rugs, lots of life. Once you’re settled you won’t want to leave- we didn’t!

We were a family party with ages from 5 to 75 . Lots for everyone to do ( swimming , tennis, billiards/snooker & beautiful walks all there) There was enough space both inside the wonderfully converted barn and outside in the extensive grounds to enjoy each others company without being overcrowded. Thanks Sarah for enabling a lovely weekend .

A fantastic and very cosy place. We went there as a group of four. The Boxing Hare is just around the corner and is an amazing restaurant.

We stayed at The Barn for three nights over half term, with our two boys. We all absolutely loved our stay and Gwyneth and Peter made us feel very welcome in their home. The Barn is amazing and had everything we could ever have needed, with the fire and the table tennis table being especially well used! Gwyneth and Peter have made an exceptional place to stay and we would definitely recommend it as a place to stay when in the New Forest.

Beautiful converted barn with stunning scenery, especially on the very sunny weekend we visited. Great location for travelling into Bourton-on-the-Water. The barn had everything we needed and Sarah was really proactive in communicating with us about directions and accessing the barn.

Wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. Perfect for a peaceful stay. Emma was ver helpful and provided everything that was needed.

3 of us stayed this past weekend along with my friends dog, we were travelling to the area as we were going to visiting Soho Farmhouse and Daylesford Farm. We received instructions from Neil and Janet on how to find the property and gain access the day prior to arriving. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised to find the property was much larger than it appears in the photos online, it was warm and inviting and very peaceful. We were kindly left bread, milk, eggs and a bottle of fizz (which was a very nice touch and welcomed after a 3 hour drive). We were out and about for most of the weekend so didn’t use the kitchen other than for drinks but it had everything you could need to prepare a meal. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms clean with great showers. The dog was very happy to find a safe and secluded garden to run around with his ball. For visitors coming in summer there is also a BBQ and fire pit. fab location, great property, I have no doubt we will return!

Beautiful accommodation, unbelievable value for money. Cathanne (Host) was incredibly friendly and helpful. Small touches throughout which made for an incredible stay. Thanks again Cathanne.

We thoroughly enjoyed our staycation/weekend getaway at Mel’s place with our dog. Everything was as described in the listing and we felt at home straight away. Mel was super helpful when providing information on local walks, pubs, restaurants, shops etc. I would highly recommend Mel’s place to family and friends for a cozy and peaceful getaway, likewise would stay again if in the area. Just returned from a long weekend, staying at The Barn at Rotherwood. We were a group of 4 adults (2 couples) and had a great time. The Barn was perfect for us - really comfortable, clean and very well equipped. Debbie was very responsive and left us a really generous welcome hamper for our arrival - thank you Debbie! It was perfectly situated, on the edge of Itchenor, and was easy to get to Chichester, Bosham and the Witterings from there. We would recommend staying here!

Beautiful views in what was a superb place to stay. Modern, clean and everything that you could need. Would definitely stay for another visit.

My huso and I truly enjoyed our stay in the Old Barn House. The place is beautiful, and cosy. The hosts are friendly and even welcomed us with a very nice Apple Crumble cake, orange juice and milk which is always nice to find. The bed is comfy, looking at the cows and birds chirping from the upstairs window was one of my favourite things. We also loved the chimney and the fact we had a couple of hiking trails a couple of steps away from the barn.

What a beautiful place to stay! The attention to detail was amazing and it had all the possible amenities you could need. Diewertje was incredibly responsive and even left a little gift for our 1 year old which was extremely kind. We really enjoyed using the log burner on some cold and windy evenings. The location is also great for exploring the local area. We would not hesitate to stay again!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Green Park Barn. It’s like a brand-new home nestled on a quaint little farm in the countryside of England. On check-in, we had no issues finding the location and getting into the home, and we found everything beautifully clean and even a homemade cake from our hosts! A welcomed surprise after a very long day of travel. The beds were comfy, and the place was spacious for our family of 4. The location was very quiet and fairly close to two towns. My only wish was that we could walk to more shops/restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Edwin’s place was even better than in the photos! We had a great time and felt right at home from the beginning. You can tell Edwin and his family have put a lot of thought and care into making their property feel welcoming. I would be happy to come back!

Kingfisher Barn is a true hidden gem. Georgina has beautiful taste and the barn is decorated and presented beautifully. It’s spotlessly clean, has everything you need, lots of board games and books and is incredibly cosy. Kids loved the bunk beds and the dogs who popped over to say hi from the main house. It’s positioned perfectly with lots to do in the local area. We spent everyday at various local beaches. All of which are about a 20minute drive from the barn. The sun shone so we got the outside sofa cushions out and enjoyed the sunshine with a slice of homemade lemon drizzle cake left for us for our arrival. Thankyou for a wonderful stay Georgina.
