Farmstay vacation rentals in River Dart

We had a wonderful stay at Bridesmere over New Year and it was just what we needed. Peaceful, beautiful area, lovely comfortable home from home. We appreciated the enclosed garden for our spaniel, the beautiful and spacious bedrooms and the living area which was large enough for all 7 of us, two families. WiFi was strong upstairs so no issue with all of us connected and the tv had all apps we needed to watch films with no buffering. There is a beautiful walk through the forest along the river just minutes from the house which leads to a very nice pub serving good food. As other reviews mention, the kids room smells a little musty/damp but this was not a huge issue and we opened the bathroom window after showering which helped. Kitchen well stocked but knives are a little blunt! Children loved the games barn and not having to bring bikes with us was really helpful and appreciated. Overall we couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay and we would definitely return. Thank you for having us.

We are a family of 3 and really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful area not too far from all we wanted to visit. Everything you need at the property with a massive garden to explore ! Very clean property with amazing peaceful views of the countryside. Thanks Lisa

We had a lovely weekend stay at the Barn. Steve & Tessa were very friendly and helpful. The Barn was super cute and had everything you need for a short stay. The beds were very comfy and it was lovely and clean. We loved being able to walk straight out on to the Moor & have a pub in walking distance! Beautiful family weekend. Thanks for having us!

A cosy, comfortable cottage in a very quiet location. Our two grandsons had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend it.

Marks place was a great find!! The first thing we noticed on arrival was the amazing view from the living room area, it was the best view from any Airbnb I’ve stayed in before. I stayed with my family (a group of 10) Marks place fit us well and we didn’t feel on top of each other. The hot tub was easily accessible upstairs and also had amazing views to enjoy whilst you were in there. The house was clean and tidy. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to stay in and cook. We also left a coat in the Airbnb and realised once we were home. After messaging Mark checked the house promptly, found the coat and offered to send it back the following day. Overall we had an incredible stay and would definitely recommend Marks place to anyone looking to stay in this area!

Had an amazing stay at Gary and Lisa's for the new year period. Me and my partner came to dartmoor for a nice getaway and walk without breaking the bank. The host's were phenomenal and very proactive in letting us know instructions and making sure we got there and in okay. The place itself was IMMACULATE, not a speck of Dust in sight and was really refreshing to walk into. It's a self contained small home with bathroom (shower) bedroom, living room with television and good WiFi and a kitchen with oven and electric hob and even washer and dryer. (we didn't use these but I'm sure they worked) there's also a conservatory attached with dining table for extra space! the place was lovely, peaceful and remote but around a 10 minute drive from some breathtaking walks at the moors! the price was incredibly reasonable for the area and we would 100% stay again in the future! looking forward to it! couldn't recommend this place enough!

Beautiful high standard accommodation in very peaceful surroundings. Gorgeous Christmas tree and a bottle of Prosecco left for us. Would highly recommend. Great hot tub and log burner. All round gorgeous place and would definitely return.

Sue's place was like a home from home. It had everything we needed and it was clean and cosy. It was in a peaceful location and the only sound we heard was the moos of the cows from the farm. It was the perfect base to explore Hope Cove, Salcombe and Kingsbridge. Had a very enjoyable stay.

What a wonderful place! We enjoyed our stay so much. Beautifully designed with function and comfort at the forefront (the heated floor being a personal highlight). The large open living space was lovely to be in, and great attention to detail. Peaceful surroundings, with many a birdsong. The luxurious large and comfy bed was very hard to get out of. The perfect retreat for getting away from it all and fresh country air. Thank you :)

Myself and family had a great stay here. Very cosy and unique. Despite first night being a storm with 50+ mph winds Ruby Rose was exceptionally conformable and probably one of the best nights sleep had recently listening to the storm. Denise was fantastic and checked on us the morning after. Would highly recommend

Such a lovely, cosy airbnb in a peaceful, pretty location. The barn is so beautifully furnished and spotless! The perfect location as you are 20 mins or less to great places such as salcombe, Hope Cove & Bantham. The bed is so comfortable and the large bath is a plus! Can’t wait to come and stay again!

Karen and Steve are wonderful hosts and they maintain the accommodation in tip top condition. This was our third time here and it is excellent accommodation for one or two people. Despite the main road being close, there is little noise once inside. Even whilst sitting on the patio, the traffic noise is not intrusive. The alpacas provide a peaceful scene in the adjoining field. The scones, jam and clotted cream are a welcome arrival gift.

A lovely cosy cottage that is perfect , if you want to walk so many different routes from the front door, lovely friendly village and a great pub with excellent food. The cottage was very well equipped , and the log burner was a real bonus… and the outdoor hose for our little spaniel! Mark responded really quickly, although we really didn’t need anything as it was all there! A really gorgeous area that we will definitely come back to explore some more!

This was our second time at Jenni's and our experience was as good as the first. Perfect for our needs. Cosy, comfortable and quiet. Thank you Jenni for a lovely stay and extra stars for the delicious biscuits.

We had a great trip away. Family fun with a great host and the tour guide Ralph (springer spaniel) that lead us to the pub and shop when needed. 😂 Highly recommend And can’t wait to return next summer. Thanks Chris, Tracey, Ralph and the rest of the farmyard. 👍

Great place! Would thoroughly recommend! We loved our stay, it was super lovely to have the fire going and be greeted by Frances when we got in.

We had a nice peaceful stay at Garden Cottage. The house was beautiful.,well equipped. very clean.and warm. The hosts husband was very helpful. He even offered us a lift when our car broke down. Overall we very much appreciated everything and would highly recommend this lovely house.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Although we experienced some pretty crazy weather, we still had a lovely time exploring the area. Michael had left us a print out with really clear instructions including great recommendations for food. The Airbnb is so cosy, we lit a fire every night and enjoyed being in nature. Highly recommend

We had the most fantastic stay in the Shepherds Hut! Emma was the perfect host, we couldn’t have asked for anything more - she really went the extra mile. The fire was lit for our arrival and the hut had everything we needed. We felt so at home. The Shepherds Hut was a beautiful cosy space. The hot tub was a real highlight, and we took the opportunity to also do the pizza cookery course on site, which was great. We would definitely stay here again, and thoroughly recommend to others.

Had an amazing stay. Jenny was super responsive and helpful with all questions. The farm stay was clean and as described. nice area out front with table and chairs to enjoy the sunshine in the evening and a great games room and trampoline and swing for kids to play with. would definitely stay again. Great value and perfect location to explore the South Devon coast.

We had a lovely stay at Rory’s place! Hot tub was amazing, hut was pristine & Rory was an amazing host giving us everything we needed for a yummy breakfast! Thank you x
