Family-friendly vacation rentals in Rideau Canal

Highlights of the stay were a really great backyard with pool and hot tub. Beds were comfortable and place was very well equipped. Host was accommodating and responsive.

The house was very clean, the area is in a very pleasant country area, in the house there was everything you need for a comfortable rest. I would like to point out that we were very pleased with the hot tub during the winter.

This was the perfect addition to my wedding weekend! Julie made it extra special with a welcome sign and bottle of champagne to great my guests and I! The place is absolutely stunning, so warm, cozy and just what we needed for a wedding stay with the bridal party. It surpassed my expectations and Julie and her partner were wonderful - we even had a tour and learned some history on the place. Can’t wait to come back !

Pierre’s home is lovely and well appointed. It was exactly as the photos depict. The home was spotless upon arrival and Pierre was easily reached to answer any questions. Our family of 4 was very comfortable. It was nice to be near nature but also near amenities and a short drive to downtown Ottawa.

Constance Bay cottage was a perfect getaway! We stayed in the winter but could only imagine how nice it would be in the summer. The restaurant right across the road is so friendly and tasty food. The cottage had everything you need and beyond. The hosts were responsive and attentive to all our needs during our 2 week stay. It was nice to walk along the frozen shoreline and look out across the bay! Beds were very comfy and the whole place was clean. Would definitely recommend staying here summer or winter. Also, we were able to get Ubers to and from Kanata no problem.

Chantal is an amazing host! my step daughter and I spent a great 4 days there while visiting Ottawa. we enjoyed the drive to and from Gatineau each day and we loved the space Chantal has for her guests. 10/10 experience and we'll be going back on our next trip there!

Emily’s house was a dream and is highly recommended. Our family of 5 (with 3 kids under 10) spent a week at Emily’s house while in Ottawa to help out a family member. We were so grateful for Emily’s hospitality. As we were there during yet another wave of the pandemic, coupled with virtual school, we were basically in lockdown at the house - it could have been a very unpleasant week. Instead, it was truly wonderful to have Emily’s beautiful home to feel grounded in. The house was clean, comfortable, exactly as represented in the pictures, and we were struck by the attention to detail. The communication with Emily was perfect. After a week in the house, we joked about staying a week longer! There is no doubt that we will return.

Bob and Kerri’s house was perfect! It was so beautifully decorated, light and airy and very well stocked! Plus, the location was fantastic! We loved walking to town every day and going to the bakery for delicious pastry’s! The yard was beautiful and great for sitting outside on a nice day! The house was so clean and everything was very comfortable! Checking in and checking out were both so easy! Bob and Kerri were super responsive when we had questions! They had a great on line handbook about all the good restaurants and things to do! This house and location were one of the best we have ever stayed in. Perfect location for our skating weekend in Ottawa. Quick walk to the canal. Backs onto a great park and wonderful dog walking. The apartment itself has everything we needed and was very comfortable.

Patrick was a great host, always responsive and communicated all details we needed prior to our stay and while we were there. His place looks new, is clean and is close to everything. My family of 5 were in town for the 2025 World Junior Hockey Tournament and the house was the perfect distance to Kanata and downtown Ottawa. I would highly recommend anyone coming to Ottawa stay here. Finally, we visited the Parliament buildings and museums during our stay, all within 20 minutes of the house.

Lisa’s place was great! My husband and I travelled with our dog to Ottawa to go skating on the canal. The location was the highlight of the trip, walking distance to everything we needed including stair access to the canal 5 minutes away. Lisa was very responsive and kind, even offering to extend our check out time which was very appreciated. Airbnb was clean and as described. Neighbourhood felt safe and having a parking spot behind the building was a huge bonus. Thank you Lisa!

We stayed at Bart's place for my son's wedding. It was perfect. The house is gorgeous and very clean. It's in walking distance to so many places. I highly recommend it. There is parking for one car in the garage. It may be a little tricky finding parking if you have multiple cars with you. There is a 2 hour limit as well. The only other tricky thing is the downstairs game room. It's beautiful and so much fun. It would be perfect in the summer. It was really cold in Ottawa when we were there and you had to wear a coat if you went down there. Not deal breaker at all. Again, you won't regret booking this place. Super clean and beautiful inside!

This was the cleanest place we’ve been in for sure. Right on the river, private, well laid out. I can see that in the summer it would be very beautiful with the garden beds and the nice lap pool. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
