Castle vacation rentals in Rhone-Alpes

We had 2 wonderful weeks in historical ambiance and beautiful surroundings. The reception by Catherine was super friendly and her many tips very helpful. The possibilities for exploration and activities are numerous (cave visit, Lyon, visit to medieval villages in the area, swimming in the Ain, paddle excursions) Thanks to Catherine and family!

Beautiful estate, we had a great time with the family. The place is very quiet, suitable for young children who appreciate the contact with the animals present on the site. The gite is spacious, well-equipped. Would definitely recommend.

The place is very pretty, surrounded by greenery. The terrace opens directly to the chapel which is beautiful, and the castle on the other side. The sound of the river is relaxing and it is a very good setting to rest. We were very well hosted on top of all that. Only small negative, the humidity due to the river, and a little noise sometimes because of the nearby road, but it's still light. I highly recommend, our group of friends had a great stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Chateau de la Chambre. Dominique and Alain were wonderful hosts - we had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The area is stunning - not very touristy but that was a positive for us! Beautiful villages and easy to reach Lyon, Vichy and the Puy de Dôme. Thoroughly recommend!

We had a great time at Catherine's place: the accommodation is impeccably clean, very pretty, functional and really very comfortable (especially the bedding!). The kitchen is extremely well equipped and we loved hearing the bell tower mark the hours. In terms of location, the accommodation is in the center of the beautiful and picturesque village of Vogüé. It is close to many other beautiful villages and all kinds of activities and visits to do that we were able to happily enjoy thanks to the valuable advice of Christophe, Catherine's husband, who welcomed us with great kindness and generosity. Thank you!

We booked part of the castle for my partner's 30th birthday and I can just say that he will never forget this moment, in large part thanks to the beauty of the accommodation and the warm welcome from Yves Michel. I would highly recommend staying there for a night or a few days. The setting is beautiful and Yves Michel and his son are great hosts, flexible, available and warm. Friendly hosts beyond our expectations enchanting or even magical place, accessible for people with reduced mobility or the elderly, and impeccable if you have children, they can only enjoy themselves in the castle garden or in the pool which is protected by a barrier Large apartment where everyone can find their privacy, very practical and carefully decorated with a rustic modern mix Wonderful stay, everyone was delighted (the Pal next door is the icing on the cake). thank you

We had a great time at this beautiful mansion, spacious, bright and warm. Its cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for hosting people or for a family stay. Despite a view of factories across the street, with continuous smoke and a little noise, we were fully satisfied with the standard offered. The interior design is a clever mix of old charm and modernity, which brings a lot of character to the place. We strongly recommend this mansion. It would certainly be even more pleasant in summer, especially to enjoy the pool. Again, thank you for this great experience!

It is such a wonderful house to stay. We, 10 of us prepared almost every lunch and dinner at home and sat outside table to eat together. Everything of the house is very nice french taste including the old furnitures. I highly recommend if you want to spend holiday in a real French setting. Walking distance to a great river swimming spot and a very nice local store which has everything. Thank you so much to the house owner, the nice neighbours and Justine the manager of the house.

A nice place for a weekend get away. Kitchen is full with cooking utensils, place is very nice. Pascal & Virginie are both very friendly and responsive! We would definetely come again

We proceeded our time at the chateau with three days in Nice. We found it to be a very pedestrian-friendly city: the Promenade des Anglais, the old town, the newer portion beside it, and the castle hill were really pleasant to wonder through. French friends joined us and we proceeded on the half hour drive to the Chateau. In fact, it was to another world. Once we entered through the gates and drove up the cedar-lined driveway, we easily found the Pavillion following the excellent instructions given by Caterina. The gardens were magnificent even in mid February. We were fortunate to have outstanding weather so we were able to take full advantage of the spacious grounds. Our friends are runners while we are walkers, so we were all able to enjoy the property itself plus adjacent quiet laneway. The Pavillion has been beautifully renovated and modernized, with exceptional attention to detail. It was a joy to spend time with our friends in the evenings over bottles of wine. We left to visit Monaco, Menton for its unusual Lemon Festival and Nice again to visit the old Port area and try the local speciality socca at Chez Pipo. In the end, we would have much preferred to stay in the beautiful tranquility of the Chateau. We had the pleasure of singing a few ballads in the little chapel, accompanied by our friend who is an excellent violinist. Such a treat! And the acoustics were excellent. My wife is a spinner of wool, and she had several hours spinning on the sunny terrace. The property is perfect for writing, reading, or painting. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
