Vacation rentals in Rhiconich

I was on a post redundancy, solo trip & needed to be near the sea and create a wee bubble of peace for myself. Tanya’s caravan is perfectly situated, with an incredible, unencumbered view. You can even see Tarbat Ness lighthouse out in the distance. Clear starry nights, the sound of the waves and seabirds. This is a busy holiday park for most of the year & wouldn’t really suit me in the peak season but at the beginning of November, it was quiet & peaceful. I didn’t use the park facilities & the one day I did venture to the shop they were just closing at 2pm. I took a wander into Dornoch & had a lovely afternoon in the local charity & book shops as well as the very well stocked Dornoch Stores. Tanya’s place has absolutely every convenience you could possibly need & that made the stay so much more comfortable. And with Tanya herself being so friendly & helpful it made for the perfect stay. The only difficulty was unreliable wifi but I had unlimited phone data and a great signal.

This is a spacious, cosy, comfortable place to stay. It's peaceful, remote, in beautiful surroundings - the Atlantic to the West, the mountains of Torridon to the East, and views of Skye from beautiful local beaches. Onie and Ally were friendly and helpful (above and beyond after I'd gone knee-deep in a bog on a walk, making sure my boots dried by morning). The apartment is, if anything, better than in the photos - the comfortable sitting room/dining/kitchen area really spacious. I slept super-well here and had some great walks and drives in the day - taking hundreds of photos.

The place was spotless and well equipped, we weren't sure whether to bring cutlery, pots and pans etc but you will find that you only need to bring your foods to cook as the kitchen has everything you need in there. The hot tub was in a fenced off 'mini forest', so you can enjoy it whilst your dogs roam around in a safe enclosure of nature. We have decided it's the most perfect getaway stay for us and will be back again when the weather is warmer, as we came in February and it was perfect, can't imagine how good the place would be in summer!

We had a lovely stay at Avril’s place. It was very clean and comfy. The rooms were large with plenty of space. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were so grateful for the welcome hamper that was waiting for us. Really enjoyed the cozy fire on a chilly night! It’s a lovely walk to the beach and there were so many interesting things to see and do close by. We particularly enjoyed the lovely walk to St Mary’s Chapel which was not far away.

The cabin is superbly located with fabulous views across the loch and mountains beyond. The kitchen was equipped with everything we might need, and the bathrooms were pristine. The steam room an added bonus. We enjoyed trips to the local villages of Lochinver and Scourie, and walks along the beautiful white sand beaches in the area. Then hurried home for cosy nights by the woodburner, watching the deer approach and night fall over the loch. Wonderful! One of the very best places we have stayed in, and Tanya & Sonia always helpful and responsive before and during our stay. February here is very quiet and peaceful, just what we needed to recharge the batteries.

We had such a fantastic night away, we're gutted we only had the one! the cabin was so cosy and the fire lit for our arrival. everything has been thought of for the perfect escape.

A lovely stay (2nd time) and everything we needed for a restful break. The accommodation is top class and the view is unbeatable. Linda was also really helpful when I had a query. I can’t recommend enough if you want a relaxing stay in quiet, gorgeous surroundings.

William’s place is wonderful, lovely accommodation, very peaceful & private, we did visit in October probably busier in the summer! Great location for touring around, good places to eat nearby, a truly amazing break, we hope to come back soon.

Ann’s house was just right for us. Me, my husband and two little kids stayed for one week. Spotlessly clean and so comfortable. A lovely feel to the place. Always nice and warm, the beds were comfortable and the views were gorgeous. We had everything we needed - a good amount of thought has been put into making sure you want want for anything. We’re really happy and will come back for sure. Thanks Ann!
