Family-friendly vacation rentals in Rensselaer County

Condo was in a great location and easy to get onto the slopes (5 second drive really) but also quiet and peaceful. Loved being able to use the wood fireplace since that is not always an option (they also had plenty of wood available). Beds were comfy with extra bedding/pillows available but we did not need it. Decor was homey and cozy but not too much to make it cluttered. Everything was very clean and kitchen had all the amenities you could possibly need. There was a gas grill on the back deck that we were able to use as well. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

The place is spacious and clean. Small issues were fixed quickly. I recommend connecting to the host via text message, rather than the Airbnb app, because some Airbnb messages were not received. The house is located close to Jiminy Peak and sits on a secluded lot, quite a distance from the road, so you don't hear passing cars. I highly recommend using a car capable of 4-wheel drive if you arrive in the winter. Even after the host had the driveway plowed, it tends to be icy and very slippery in the winter, as it is very long and steep. The beds and living room were very comfortable. The wood fire stove is in the vestibule, when you take off your shoes. It is not like a fire place in the living room. We have a nice stay.

Great time had by all. Very convenient and spacious unit- right by the bunny slope. All amenities we could have needed were right there - including ski lockers and arcade. We also enjoyed the hot tubs (though wish the indoor/outdoor pool was hotter).

We love the cozy cabin! This was our third time back and it just gets better each time! The cabin is perfect for our family of five. We love the fireplace and full, well-stocked kitchen. While the rest of the family skied, I took advantage of the nearby Elle Day Spa. Dawn is super responsive and gives great local suggestions. We can’t wait for our next trip.

A peaceful, private, comfortable, extremely clean, place to stay. Pretty much has everything you need with the exception of “personals”. Perfect place. This was our second time staying and Miriam is fantastic to communicate with. Very friendly, welcoming, and responds quickly if needed. We enjoy the friendly atmosphere each flat provides. Definitely worth the price.

The apartment was very clean, very comfortable, and really spacious. Though not close to downtown, restaurants, and so on, the neighborhood was quiet and it was only a short drive to dining options and activities. We would definitely stay again, and we may well do so in future, as we have family in the area.

We always stay with Frank when we visit RPI. He's place is a great value and he's very responsive and helpful. Great for families who want more bedrooms for privacy. Shop across the street is handy for last minutes snacks or ice cream. Thanks Frank!

Kori was an excellent and very responsive host. Was very helpful when I needed to extend my stay. Will definitely be staying with her again.

A rustic, charming, and treehouse-like stay in the Berkshires. The house is not modern by any means but has a wonderful, well-loved, and lived-in feel. Elissa was an incredible host and very responsive. We really enjoyed exploring Jiminy peak, Cherry Plain State Park, rowing and swimming in the pond, exploring the Farmer's market in Troy, kayaking along the Hudson near Albany, and hiking to Kinderhook creek. Our family also enjoyed berry picking at Berry Patch Farms (and getting their CSA). I'm sure the trees here would be incredible in the fall. We were lucky enough to catch the Perseid meteor shower, Saturn, Jupiter, and the super moon while we were here. The Wifi was good enough for zoom calls but definitely would cut out whenever we used the microwave. All-in-all a lovely getaway and very close to hiking trails.

We just had another wonderful stay in Buskirk! Constance is the best host! She attends to every detail and makes it all so comfortable. The house is very clean and well equipped. We look forward to another stay in the future.

Frank was very responsive and a great host. The place was not fancy and was close to traffic, but he had fans and AC which allowed me to drown out the noises outdoors. I appreciated the price and convenience and would certainly stay here again.

We stayed at Joe's place for just one night (barely 12 hours to be exact!), we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor space, but would definitely stay here when in the area again. The place is adorable and cozy. Nice to have a carport to park under. Since we stayed for such a short time, I was happy to bring my own sheets and towels and tidy up after ourselves before we left. Thanks Joe!

Pulling into the driveway we knew this was a special Oasis. The grand pine trees lining the drive and yard were stunning. Then.. the Gardens. My how beautiful! We watched a new bird family spread their wings for the first time... butterflies visited wherever we were in the garden, yard and pool... The pups enjoyed every moment of the deck, house and incredible yard! And.. the Pool! A huge hit for all! Warm and beautiful.. birds singing everywhere. We had a fire in the main living room every morning and a fire pit fire at night outside on the lovely large deck. Our family of 8 adults, one infant, and several dogs could not have had a better family vacation. Denise and Eugene were very responsive! We had a few small issues that were resolved very quickly by their neighbor Allison and her husband who helps out Denise and Eugene and is very friendly! We enjoyed a game of mini golf with ice cream to follow nearby.. as well as a great lunch at the local Mexican restaurant.. a favorite now for sure!... Norte Azul Cantina.. just a few minutes from the house! We walked the serene neighborhood and enjoyed the wildlife (saw deer!).. and a butterfly hitched a ride on my granddaughter's stroller! .. gorgeous mountains, meadows, ponds... and friendly neighbors:) Thank you Denise and Eugene for an amazing stay. We will certainly be returning!!

Exactly what the posting represented. Easy to find, comfortably heated and close walking proximity to multiple food and drink establishments. Perfect fit for the trip.
