We chose Il Sole del Sodo because it had 6 en-suite rooms, a pool, was close to a town and a train station and had a well- regarded host who could provide extras like breakfast, dinners, cooking classes and olive oil tastings e.g. Claudia! While rustic, the villa’s charm and peaceful spaces draw you right in and Claudia’s hospitality is unsurpassed. The villa fronts to the road to Cortona and backs to a field of sunflowers. Our family and friends dined on the private patio and found a back way to walk up to Cortona for exercise. A unique and wonderful experience!

The villa was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 4 children. Swimming pool with toys outstanding. Pizza oven and bbq fun to use and a beautiful peaceful garden. Walking distance into Castiglion which is a beautiful old town. Would love to return.

Andrea is a great host. The stay was amaizing and the support received from Andrea during stay was priceless. The place is wonderfull with great view and outstanding privacy. I will recommend Andrea as a host and his place as great choice for holidays.

Stunning home in the middle of a lovely vineyard (Probably one of the best homes on AirBnB). It's even more beautiful in person - full of art, thoughtful design/luxury finishes, and Tuscan charm. Highly reccomend!!

We stayed here for 4 weeks and it really felt like home. The house is wonderful, kitchen has everything you need for cooking in, bedrooms are comfortable, small laundry room, and you can tell the house has been really well cared for. The outdoor area is spacious and private. We were there in Autumn so the hot tub was open, really beautiful at night. The front yard overlooks the lake, beautiful views everywhere you look. Finally, the house is just 5 minutes from lovely Paciano and only 20 from several other larger towns, and you don’t need to go far to find great food and things to do.

Stunning villa in a beautiful setting. Francesco gave excellent directions & the peace & tranquility out in the Tuscan countryside was wonderful. Very nice place. At the end of a road so zero traffic and zero noise. Perfect to rest. Pool is big, lots of long chairs to rest, ping pong table, arrows, barbecue place, etc. Perfect for multiple families as apartments are separated into multiple areas so everyone has privacy. Massimo was very nice and helpful. Just a note (it is written on the page but we missed it): AC charges are to be added to the booking. We used 5 rooms and it only costed us 70€ for a full week so it’s not big deal. But worth knowing.

We really enjoyed our stay at Caroline’s place with friends and family. The place is as pictured and Caroline was so helpful with recommendations for things to do and day trips. She also graciously agreed to keep the pool open a few weeks longer than normal so our kids could enjoy it. The surroundings are beautiful and we really enjoyed sitting out on the patio and watching the sunset. We would definitely consider Caroline’s place again if we go to Tuscany.

We were a group of 6 families, and have stayed here before - the first time we’ve revisited a home! So much space, a fantastic pool. Angela and her team are super helpful and friendly. The house is located within easy reach of countless beautiful sights and activities. Highly recommended.

The house was great with amazing countryside views. The rooms and common areas were spacious. Our favorite spot was the enclosed patio dining area where we had breakfast every morning overlooking the rolling hills. The hosts were great, very responsive and helpful.. One of the hairdryers was not working but Maurizio got us 2 new ones in no time. He also gave us recommendations for restaurants. Awesome hosts!

For our family vacation, three couples and a 1-year old, the place was perfect. The ability to spend the heat of the day in the huge pool or inside the refreshing lodging made the stay excellent. The place is close to groceries, pharmaceuticals, restaurants, local sites, cities, etc. Ken was always responsive to whatever issue we brought up and his quick replies were greatly appreciated.

From the beginning, Marlene was an excellent host and Stijn, a most excellent property mgr. The house is even more beautiful in person. This is a magical place for tranquility and relaxation. The house is pristine and has all the amenities , we immediately felt right at home. We asked and they recommended farm to table cooking classes, and nearby towns to visit. All excellent experiences. Wonderful memories were made cooking and grilling, picking herbs from the garden. We enjoyed this truly spectacular home. The views from the hilltop where the house is located are breathtaking. There is a beautiful infinity pool and a great barbecue area. Watching sunsets and star gazing . We had just celebrated our daughter’s wedding and traveled from Rome and the serenity and Zen of the house and surroundings were just what we needed. Stijn took great care of us. We rented Jacopo’s place with 17 people for anniversary and had an outstanding time! He stopped by frequently to check on us and give local recommendations. The villa is amazing. So good we were considering buying it!

We had a wonderful stay at the villa in Tuscany and felt at home right away. The hosts, Silvana, Iacoppo, and Bruno, took excellent care of us and were always attentive to our needs. The villa itself is spacious and well-equipped with everything one could ask for. The beautiful pool with its stunning views and the cozy fireplace area were definite highlights. We had a wonderful week at Sergio's family's villa. Massimo met us with Sergio on our arrival and showed us around the villa. The villa is located in the beautiful Tuscan countryside about 3 miles (10 minutes drive) from Montevarchi which has a great selection of supermarkets including a huge Coop with the best cheese counter we have ever seen. Sergio's family gave us a great number of recommendations from restaurants to local sights etc. One restaurant we particularly liked was Le Mura del Cassero in Montevarchi. We had a couple of trips, one to Siena by car and another to Florence by train. Both very accessible. The pool at the villa is wonderful (Massimo checked it every morning before we even surfaced) and Sergio and Massimo were the kindest hosts. They gave us a huge fruit bowl, prosecco, beers, pastries, home produced olive oil and their own delicious wine...truly lovely generous people. We would definitely recommend this villa to others!

Fantastic house in a stunning location, you do need the SUV car, but worth the drive. The pool is a good size with wonderful views. The house was very well equipped, comfortable beds and a bathroom for each room. We would love to return.
