A perfect base for our explorations around Trieste and the Istrian peninsula. Blanka was very welcoming and gave some excellent recommendations for food. Izola is a lovely town and has plenty to offer for food and activity.

We loved our stay at the Villa Irena in Vipavski Kriz, what an experience! Marija and Irena were ever so hospitable. They've helped us a lot with the check-in and check-out so we can make the most of our short stay in the region. We've arrived late after a long journey so it really helped to have the basics- tea, coffee, local information etc Vipavski Kriz is a unique place, incredibly beautiful, peaceful and quiet. The Villa Irena is ideal for exploring this part of Slovenia- the coastline, the valley and the local culture. The hosts are part of the local community of Ajdovscina and it was an immense pleasure to be their guests. The villa is just as beautiful as in the pictures or even more given the setting of Vipavski Kriz with its heritage and the surrounding nature.

We had a very pleasant stay, starting with the warmest welcome I ever experienced with an Airbnb. We had enough privacy during our stay and enjoyed the beautiful outdoors with a river swimming spot just across the road. The immediate vicinity of the train wasn’t a problem. We would definitely come back!

Very nice reception. The room is very small, but clean. Great is that in the main house you get a small breakfast with homemade jam. It is a very nice property, with fruit trees, a meadow with seating, hammock, etc. - in good weather you can relax here wonderfully. That car is in a covered parking spot right next to the room.

Our time at Ana‘s was great! The house is in a fantastic location in the Slovenian vineyards. The accommodation was very clean and perfectly equipped. Ana is an incredibly nice hostess and looked after us warmly. The location of the house is ideal for day trips to Trieste, Ljubljana and Venice. Huge recommendation for families or small groups! Looking forward to our next time there. Our time at Ana's was amazing! The house is situated in a fantastic camp in the Slovenian vineyards. The place was very clean and optimally equipped. Ana is an incredibly nice hostess and took care of us warmly. The location of the house is great for day trips to Trieste, Ljubljana and Venice. We (family of 4 + our dog) 100% loved Branka’s place. It’s in a lovely, quiet Slovenian village with a stunning view over Triest and the sea. The house and its garden are lovely and welcoming, our kids loved to play in the garden. Branka is a very sweet lady and a great host! She made our stay memorable with her kindness and useful advice! We would love to come back in the future!

Incredible apartment and location. Quiet and walkable from bars, restaurants, pharmacies, etc. Lao was incredibly helpful and responsive whenever we needed anything or any guidance. Highly recommend for a stay in the area!

The place is tastefully decorated, well equipped and clean. Within walking distance you can reach the harbor and stroll through the beautiful alleys of Izola. Bakery, market and supermarket can be reached within 2 minutes. From the communal roof terrace of the house you can watch the sunset and the stars. It also offers the possibility of tumble drying after a day of bathing.

Gojko and Jana's place is in a great location to explore the region. It is quietly located close to shops and bus shuttles, which makes it possible to leave the car in the parking lot of the apartment and mop by bus (2€/24h without travel limit for adults, free for children) while parking is paid almost everywhere and crowded parking lots. The space is comfortable and more than enough for 3 or 4 people. Everything was ready when we arrived, perfectly clean and a few small touches wait for us on the table and in the fridge! Only downside for the most sensitive: an apartment is located above and as in most apartments, it happens to hear the activity above (pulled chairs, falling object...). We weren't too embarrassed. So we recommend it! 👍
