Lovely private getaway place! So many amenities and the view of the lake is stunning.

You know when someone says "the pictures don't do it justice"? That perfectly describes this rental. An absolutely amazing house, with tons of space to hang out and spread out. Comfortable beds, plenty of linens, and thoughtful touches in the kitchen and bathrooms. I've stayed at almost 20 rentals in the Potsdam area and I think this may have rocketed to the top on my first visit. I can wait to see it in the summertime! VERY responsive hosts, including answering questions and plowing the MASSIVE driveway and shoveling the path to the entrance.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Jay’s Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The place itself was everything we could have asked for—cozy, beautifully designed, and nestled in a stunningly scenic area with breathtaking views. During our weekend stay, we experienced over a foot of snow, but Jay had already arranged for a plow service in advance, ensuring the driveway was always clear and accessible. Thanks to his careful planning, we had no issues coming and going, which made our stay stress-free and enjoyable. Beyond that, Jay was an exceptional host—communicative, proactive, and incredibly accommodating. He kept us updated throughout our stay and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We like to travel for vacation and this place by far is our favorite. We keep coming here for 5 years and hope to come again. It feels like home and exactly what we need when we’re away.

We enjoyed some much needed down time and Loved being close enough to our son’s family to visit. Weather could have been better but it was a great get a way. Lorraine and John were very helpful.

Absolutely loved the place very homey, beautiful views of Titus Mountain perfect for my family ski vacation. Denise is so responsive and flexible. We will definitely rent again when we need to stay in Malone NY.

Third stay at Butternut Bay, and it truly does feel like a home away from home. We have such special family memories because of Butternut Bay and its owner, first Jeanne, and now Meagan who is continuing her legacy--and it really does feel like that. Meagan cares that your time at Butternut is one you will remember. We thoroughly enjoyed her sharing of the St Lawrence Seaway map online, so we were able to track and learn more about the ships that were passing, day and night! We absolutely loved our stay here! The views were stunning from the moment you pulled into the driveway and from every window in the house! It was family friendly, our kids loved this house, the kids book shelf and the closet of toys and kid amenities! Anna was super responsive from check in day to check out! We were very happy with our stay and not only are we ready to go back, our kids are already asking for another vacation there!! Highly recommend!
